Over this past weekend I bought a car from Platinum. On Thursday Mike texted me and we set up an appointment for Saturday. I made the trek up there and traded in my 911 for a beautiful and barely used S Class. I have a new racecar coming in a couple of months so it was time. Mike made the process very easy. Once we came to terms the paperwork/deal was done in about 45 mins. The car I bought was immaculate. I keep my cars pretty much perfect so that was a must. Pretty much pain free process. I used these reviews as a guide for my purchase and hope this helps out someone else. The only downside was the traffic on the way back to LA. This is a family run business and they're up front with you on pricing and terms. Mike has a great understanding of the market. They take care to make sure they're at or near the right level of pricing. That said I tried to negotiate for less. My only suggestion would be to invest in a better camera/lighting system to take better pictures for Autotrader because to my surprise and delight the car in person was much nicer than online. This car you sold me, has body damage and sensor damage and water leaks that was declined to be fixed March 2019 while under your dealerships roof! I bought this car a few months later and all of this information was NOT reported to me! This is dealership info that you had on this car and you withheld! You said people at your dealership would drive this car occasionally when I asked why the mileage listed didn't match the mileage on the car. You left out that there was damage while it was being driven. Didn't you think I deserve to know this? To sort out if I can afford these repairs that were declined to be fixed while this car was your dealerships property for sale?? I now have to pay for body work for my axis and then pay for the master module sensor out of pocket! None of this will be under warranty now. Why would you do that to me or any customer? I absolutely do not trust this "dealership". I caution anyone who buys a car from them to take it to your mechanic to get it checked out first and get a copy of the dealership notes. That is how I found out the true nature of my car. Sadly disappointed that they are fitting the stereo type of crooked car salesmanship. No moral compass here. No ethics here. Avoid this place. Purchased a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara 6/30/17 and had great experience. I started by stalking their website for at least two months monitoring two Wrangler Unlimiteds that Platinum had in stock. After the price on a bells and whistles lifted Sahara seemed to stabilize, I contacted Platinum and spoke with Mike Montalbano. He was very professional, patient, and courteous. We would go back and forth discussing options, prices, financing, etc. Mike was very easy to work with via email, text, and phone call. Over the next two weeks, Mike and I negotiated until we came up with a deal we were both satisfied with. We even agreed to a stipulation: that the lifted Sahara fit comfortably inside my garage, which it did perfectly! Mike even went as far to arrange having my black beauty delivered to my home, roughly 65 miles from their location. Mike accompanied the Wrangler so we could confirm that the Jeep would fit into the garage, go over some of the numerous options, and finalize the paperwork. He was able to arrange finance through Wells Fargo. He kindly let the bank do the credit score so as for me not to be dinged twice. Thank you Mike. We even arranged for aftermarket extended warranty for the lift, upgraded suspension, big wheels and tires, all the toys, at a fair price.
