Scheduled an oil filter change. Made it to 'wait' for it as they said tht would be quicker than a 'leave' it appt. Got there on schedule and they told me my 10am appt would be done mid afternoon. I explained that I specifically made a 'wait'. Appt. He said sorry but the bays were already full. Not true- both bays were empty w no car waiting. I always appreciated how a diagnostic report was done on my vehicle each time I went in for service. I had been bringing my vehicles to this place for 7 years. The last time I brought vehicle in, I was told rack and pinion needed to be replaced because it was leaking fluid and boots were warn. Turns out, boots either were cut or it is possible, due to the age of my vehicle, boots may have cracked on their own; however, system is not leaking, they just over filled the power steering fluid. It stopped leaking after the over fill went away. I got a second opinion and job not needed at this time. A few months before that my brakes needed to be replaced. They replaced them with after market parts, which sometimes is good, it in my case, the brakes did not turn out okay. Brakes were making a horrible noise after the replacement. However, they did make it right and replaced the parts again and they are fine now. Honestly goes a long way with me. If they can't be honest, I can't afford the time having to take my vehicle back numerous times for work not done correctly or if I am told to fix something that is not broken. read more

As previously noted, the oil change package is a good deal. While getting my oil changed, I requested a cost estimate for the performance of preventative maintenance, including the replacement of the water pump, coolant, thermostat and tensioner and idler pulleys. I was in disbelief when I received an estimated cost of $4500 for the noted work, including $900 for coolant exchange and another $900 for thermostat replacement. Also as noted, EAS does a courtesy inspection of the vehicle as part of the oil change. I was advised that the engine had an oil leak, and it was most likely from the valve cover gasket. Expecting to see pooled oil around the valve cover, I determined that the very small amount of oil was because of the accidental spillage of oil when filling during previous oil changes. EAS wanted to charge me $100 to pressure wash the top of the engine so I could monitor for leaks. I have been a loyal customer of EAS for over 10 years. As a result of the diagnosis of the supposed engine oil leak and the outrageous estimated costs, I have lost all confidence and will not return. read more

Car issue---Low or dead battery May 2022: Car would not start. Had to jump start car May 25, 2022 Went to O'Reilly Auto Parts. They checked the battery and alternator, said the battery was old and bad, but alternator was good. I purchased a new battery. That solved the issue - I thought. The new battery gradually lost power (cold engine would turn over very slowly when attempting to start). Result: I had the same issue as I started with. April 6, 2023 (less than a year later) I took my CRV to Eagle Automotive. They checked the battery, alternator and starter and told me only the battery was bad. Eagle installed a new, replacement battery from O'Reilly. Result, the CRV started fine for a while. Issue temporarily solved. A few months later, same issue. The first start in the morning was questionable, to the point I needed to jump start the vehicle. March 26, 2024: Car would not start so I jump started it and took it back to Eagle Automotive. First, the good news. I have used Eagle Automotive for 40 years for car repairs and maintenance. I got to know the front desk employees pretty well and trusted them. ( I now note that I don't know anyone anymore.) Now I am not sure that I trust everyone like I did some of "the old timers". I will say that my service advisor, Danni Lopez, was very pleasant, and she kept me well informed as to progress and issues. I do realize that turnover is inevitable over a 40-year time frame. Now for the disappointing news. Somehow, I feel I was taken advantage of. March 26th 2024, I returned the vehicle to Eagle Automotive. They again checked the battery and alternator and told me they were good. But in checking the starter, they told me it was bad and needed replaced. I approved the purchase and installation of a new starter. Yesterday I got a call that in attempting to remove the old starter, they broke a water valve and the replacement of that valve would be an extra $400. March 28th: I pick up the car. Total bill was $1,634.90 for my starter replacement. read more

I had Check Engine Code Light come on. {Surprise!) Took it to Eagle On Platte Canyon Road. I am a repeat customer so that was an easy choice. Eagle took my car in and spent some time with diagnostic checks. It came down to faulty Cat. Converter, It would be an expensive repair. I told them that I didn't want to put in more money in the car and would trade it in or sell it outright. They found existing issues that needed to be addressed, and went a step further to offer advice on if I should buy the car when I asked them to shoot me straight. Like the other commenter, I too went in for a pre-purchase inspection. I was buying a car from an individual in Littleton, and as usual looked to Yelp as a guide. Turns out this place has over 30 reviews on Google reviews, so check there for a more thorough account. But I relied on Yelp's one review anyway, and I'm glad I did. This place is clean, friendly and honest. I'm a woman and I feel they were honest and respectful with me, which is incredibly important. They did a very thorough inspection on the car I was looking at, did a thorough write-up and cost report. They also gave me their personal opinion of the car. Based on that, I was able to negotiate the price of the car with the seller down by nearly $1000, and I still got a great car, which will be even better when I replace the struts and shocks. I will totally go out of my way to Littleton to work with these guys. These guys need more Yelp reviews, so give them a try and write 'em up on here, too. :) read more

Customers Beware! Stay away from Eagle Auto as they will SCAM you for a lot of money or even try to take your car for very little money. I had my Lexus IS250 towed to this shop for overheating. They called me at the end of the day, and told me that the car doesn't start and my radiator is cracked. Also the engine is probably no good now and they need to do a compression test to confirm. My car started before it got towed to Eagle Auto. The next day they told me there is no compression and I need a new engine. I wanted to get a second opinion, so I told them I will get it towed to another location. A few minutes later the manager called and asked me if I would sell the car as she knows a lady who will buy it for $300. So I had another mechanic check my car and it was determined that a sensor was detached so the car would not start (so he reattached it and the car started), the radiator was fine except missing the cap (he filled the radiator and attached the cap), and the 10 millimeter screws were not touched so no compression test was done (the Engine was fine!) My car is working fine! read more

Used Eagle before thought experience went well. When I went to eagle a second time to fix same issue on my car though, received a whole different experience. Was quoted an out the door price, but later found out they forgot to include some services charges. Also while doing research I found their price was substantionally higher for an after market part. When questioned about this I was met with a callous attitude. Picked up my car to take it elsewhere (for less $ with an OEM part) and was charged miscellaneous fees when I was told I wouldn't be charged these fees. I've had my 2012 Jeep Wrangler with 65K miles serviced here a few times for my alternator, fluid flush and things have seemed to be alright until I had my brakes serviced here. In less than 2 years I have have my rear brakes completely replaced 3 times by Eagle Automotive. 1st Time. Paid out of pocket. Seized caliper brakes replaced. Thought all was good and dandy until I drove home from the shop and could smell brakes smoking on my 10 minute drive home. Called shop on way home told them it was still happening and they said to give it a week and that its normal for new brakes to smell like that. Called back exactly one week later because brakes we still smoking from daily driving. (4 mile drive to work...) 2nd Time. Warrantied. Seized caliper on other side. Was told they have had bad batches of calipers and replaced calipers and rotors again. Within 3-4 months brakes started smoking again from daily driving. 3rd Time. Warrantied. Calipers and Rotors Replaced again. Still smoking. Stated smoking yesterday after a 15 minute drive down Wadsworth. Can someone please recommend a mechanic that can figure this out. Ive tried to be fair and let them figure this out thinking 3rd time is the charm but obviously it was not. read more
