i have used them for a while. the truth is no car wash is going to be perfect. i always choose the $50 express detail. i have been very happy before. this last time it was horrible. spent max 15 minutes. they didn't even do the center console or cup holders. how is that not included in the top level non full detail wash they offer? the 6 workers standing around watched me get the spray bottles and wipe myself. i am fine with people having an off day, so i called and spoke to the manager. the only option was to return the car to them. unfortunately, i live roughly 40 minutes away and i had an appointment to get to. he told me to come back tomorrow. if i wasn't happy with that, too bad. for the gas and tolls, i'll wipe this stuff myself. but that's not how it should be for a $50 15 minute car wash and i did still tip. i won't be back. read more

Never had an issue. It isn't a "detail" cleaning, but clean. Detailing can cost 80-150. I've used the drive through for oil change, great if you don't have a lot of time to get that done. Maybe the desk person isn't the most friendliest/happy-but they aren't rude. That's my perception of this location and sad they are getting no so good reviews-maybe they would be happier if given a chance, who knows...I will continue to go there. read more

I was exiting my car when two workers approached me trying to enter my car before I was out of the way and when I tried to move out of their way I tripped on a cone and fell and hurt my left side and shoulder. I would give them zero stars. Absolutely horrible service. Not only were my windows filthy dirty after I paid for a car wash., But they basically damage my roof racks that came with the car. They were moved and scratched on the side of my vehicle. I asked to speak to a manager, (Robert). he was rude, abrasive, and try to tell me that these were add-ons, and they were after factor that they did not cover them. They were not. Terrible service! I've been trying out Platinum Car wash in Somers Point, NJ for the past couple of months and each time I've been more disappointed than the last. I've had to request the windows to be recleaned because it appears they use dirty rags. the last two times, just this past week in fact, 11/13/24, they didn't even bother do them except for the driver door. After that I also had to request the tire dressing that was included in my purchase, which is a regular occurrence now. I'll not be continuing my patronage there. Used to be good, not sure what happened. They constantly try to have me flush my transmission. They say my car needs it. However the transmission was already flushed recently yet they still kept asking me, trying to sell a service that's not needed. And recently they refuse to wash my truck because it has surf- load bars on it. So they give me a $10 off car wash coupon... For a vehicle they won't wash. They wouldn't even vacuum it. I did a wash just to try them out for $14.95. I opened up my trunk. The whole inside of the trunk was filthy never wiped down. I opened up all the doors. The inside of the doors filthy never wiped down. They never even did my windows on the inside I understand I didn't spend that much, but that's part of a car wash will I go back now I won't. First the good, I always get a great carwash, car looks great every time (somers point). Now tha tonly bad which is not that bad, but need to tell others. I know its hard to get good help. However workers at the end of the line, drying, tires shine etc need to read the receipt tag on the dash to know what extra services, if any need to be dealt with. I have to always remind them to do the tire shine or other extra that I paid extra for. I tested them once, I only paid for the lowest priced wash, at the end of the line I reminded them to do the tires which they did without even looking at the receipt tag to make sure I paid for that service. Do not use this facility. Their work is substandard, the owner is out of state and the manager has no authority to make any decisions. In a nutshell, I had an oil change and engine flush done on a Saturday. On Sunday morning unbeknownst to me, all the oil was laying in my driveway. I ended up with a disabled vehicle a mile down the road. Evidently the wrong size filter was used. They did respond to my vehicle location and after half a day had the car up and running. (As they should have!) All I wanted was a document outlining what took place in the event there was permanent damage to the engine and my money back. The manager could not provide me with either and told me only the owner can do these things. That he would be in NJ the following week and they had my contact information. Today is day 11 and no one has had the courtesy of contacting me about the situation. Oh they gave me 5 coupons for free car washes. When this place opened up they were excellent. However, the past three years the service has declined significantly. I pay for platinum washes each time and each time it gets worse and worse. However now I will be reporting them to the BBB, leaving this review on yelp, and contacting our Somers Point Councilmen in order to help all those who have them ripped off, taken advantage of and pushed aside and all future consumers. I purchased a book of ten tickets for "Gold" car washes = $112.00 and have gone through the wash three times. After going through the wash the first time I noticed that the bottom side panels completely around the car and the bumpers were wet. I asked the attendant to dry the car better and he gave it a cursory wipe leaving it still wet. I called and complained to the cashier that answered the phone she said she would " tell the manager". Second and third wash car left with sides. bumpers, and mirrors wet. Fourth carwash was the same outcome, only when I asked the guy drying the car to dry it thoroughly he looked me like I had to heads and I got another cursory wipe. I called and complained again and asked for the manager, after waiting an inordinate amount of time a guy got on the phone and said that he was "John", the manager he assured me that he would get the problem straightened out. WHAT A JOKE Fifth car wash was worse, walking over to one of the guys drying the car that was walking away as if he was finished I asked him to dry the side panels around the car, the guy gave me the stinkeye and walked back to the car talking under his breath. Complaining to another guy with a black shirt who said he was the manager is only response was "they get lazy"!!! I told him that I was tempted not to use the rest of the tickets but thinking about it later decided not to waste the money. Sixth carwash, same crappy car wash, the only acception was after complaining to the guy giving out the slip for you to give the cashier was although sympathetic told me he was not the manager and the guys get "lazy" and said I should let the owner know (yeh, yeh), car not completely dry. windows still dirty. Seventh carwash, the worst yet, the place was completly understaffed, they had to repeatedly shut the system down to dry the cars. My car was left completed with the bottom half of the sides completely dripping. When I asked the attendant to dry it i got an incoherent mumble. and another stinkeye as he turned away to work on the next car in back of me. This really pissed me off, going into the lobby I shouted toward the cashier "this is my seventh carwash here and I asked the guy to finish drying the car and he just walked away. I walked back out and a guy that was standing next to the cashier with a towel sticking out of his pocket came out, stood at the rail and watched the process but did nothing about it. I left with the car wet and side windows streaked. Eighth car wash, the car came out still dirty and had to be run through another time, the owner was there, I went over to him and told him my car never leaves his place completely dried off, he went out to the end line calling one of his workers by name said " make sure that you dry off that car" he then just walked away Ninth carwash, I only came in this last time because of the salt on my car left from the snow, I left as usual with car and mirrors still wet. I am so disgusted with the service here, I have given my last ticket away. I will never patronize this place again and have told my friends about the crappy way you are treated and the lousy carwash that you get. read more

Dont go here!!! Every employee I've encountered here over 4 visits is either rude, doesnt care about their work &/or doesnt care about you. I'd assume the owner could care less about the employees which creates the level of service we receive as customers.
