When they called me back later they informed me to fix the steering wheel would be a big job and I would have to come back for that but would do the other stuff for me. I needed better front tires, had my oil changed, they filled and checked the fluids, changed the wiper blades, replaced the brakes and rotors and did a tune up. They were very reasonably priced and were extremely honest, kind, polite and professional. I was extremely pleased. I brought the car back on Sept 11, to have the steering wheel fixed and they did a stellar job. Once again, these guys are phenomenal at what they do and are so, so kind and just really nice, so polite and professional. My car drove like a dream and made it home with no issues. On Saturday Sept 12, my daughters went to go from our home to shopping and when they stopped to get gas they heard a clinking sound and then the car started to make a scraping sound. My daughter freaked out and brought the car home. I called Sparx and spoke to Joseph and sent him a video with sound of the noise and he diagnosed it and told me to bring it in and said it was an easy fix. I brought it in and they fixed it within 30 minutes. No charge, no hassles, no worries just a bunch of great guys who do the best mechanic work I have found in years. They are very reasonably priced and when they give you a quote they hold to it. Imagine that??? I would give Bo, Joesph and the whole crew at Sparx Automotive located in Sherman Texas ten stars, maybe 20 ok 100. Honestly, I have not met an automotive place that has such honesty, integrity, fair prices, knowledge, politeness and just great bunch of guys in over 40 years. Yes guys I am an older person and a veteran and I hope you take this review seriously. I have lost thousands of dollars to bad mechanics over the years. On November 17, 2025, I came in because my check engine light kept turning on and off. After being…read moretold that replacing the mass airflow sensor and the oxygen sensor would resolve the issue, I spent an entire day waiting--only to pay a substantial amount of money and get back on Loop 288 with every light on my dashboard lit up. When I returned, they removed the oxygen sensor they had just installed because, apparently, that was what caused my car to malfunction. In other words, they were guessing from the start. Despite that, they had no problem charging me for a part that clearly did not fix my issue. After wasting two full days at this shop with zero resolution, my check-engine light is still on, and now I'm being told the problem is the fuel pump. It is unacceptable that I was charged for unnecessary work while the actual problem remains unaddressed. To make matters worse, when I returned on the 18th to express my frustration, the manager behaved extremely unprofessionally, taking my keys and walking off without a word. I am almost sure he insulted me, based on the staff's reaction. This entire experience was unprofessional, careless, and dismissive. I strongly advise anyone considering this location to take their vehicle anywhere else. I should never have been charged for guesswork.
