We just had the pleasure of working with Zack and his amazing crew . They meticulously painted the exterior of our 1905 Craftsman house and we're so happy with the results. They also remodeled two bathrooms and living room. From the first meeting until the finish, Zack was so easy to communicate with, and always responded to any questions right away. The painters on his crew were always on time, worked hard, and also just a pleasure to be around. They did whatever needed to be done and did it well., including needed repairs. We have used so many contractors & workers over the years on many jobs. Anyone who has done that knows that things don't always go well. Not every contractor has great ethics or standards of the work. Some take your deposit and disappear until convenient for them. We had the opposite experience with Platinum . I believe they (Alex & Ethan) were dishonest at worst and misleading at best about the estimates given for work to be done to my garage. Their initial written estimate listed 2 prices: $8200 and a final $7600. I stated very clearly that I was requesting and needed financing for the project. Nothing was written on the estimate (or stated verbally, that I recall) stating one or both prices was a "cash offer." When I invited them back two weeks later, suddenly Ethan was stating that the $7600 was a cash only offer. Fine. Let's do the original $8200 offer. Nope. Suddenly there's a 10% contractor's fee (or some other bull****) and the price is now $8360. Not a huge difference, but it's the principal. If you're not honest with the small things, you sure as hell won't be honest with the big things. read more

I was highly skeptical of hiring any company for our remodel. I did speak with a few other companies before going with PHR but I have to say PHR was 100% the right choice. Jeff T our contractor was above and beyond my expectations. Great communication, work was completed before the expected completion date and work was great. Jeff was in constant communication during the whole project and he was the reason we chose PHR. We had 3 bathrooms completely remodeled, AC unit installed in master bedroom, paint, carpet, bathroom vents added in master bath, added electrical outlets in master bath, and with all of this the guys laid covering on the floors everyday to not get anything on the floors and carpet. Surprisingly, this was a good experience for a remodel while still staying in our home. 100% recommendation for Jeff and PHR. read more

Deciding on a contractor - We met with Guy and few other contractors but in the end, we signed the contract with him bc he definitely had the best pricing and really good reviews. We went with Platinum (Guy) based on our interactions with him at a different job site. We noticed his attention to detail and work ethics and he came across as an honest man who did not make excuses but gave logical explanation for every nosy question we asked. On top of it, pricing wise he was in the top 2. Guy has a great crew with an excellent attitude. We had to stay at home during the entire construction, but we didn't have any issues. The crew were considerate and always made sure they cleaned up the work area before they left. We are very happy with the overall quality and outcome of the work. All our friends have loved the work and we referred Platinum when they asked for reference. Beware. These guys are con artists who hire another contractor to do the work. They claim to do everything under the Sun including landscaping design but do not know anything about it and do not actually design anything. They ask you to design and then pick an arbitrary and outrageous price out of thin air, like $36K for a tiny deck. They don't care what it looks like and I had to babysit constantly pointing out flaws. Bad bad bad. I regret hiring them completely. read more

I called Platinum Home and right away they were a pleasure to deal with. The sales rep Sharon gave us tons of samples to go through. After things were underway we were very pleased with the process. we were worried about this, but Sharon kept us informed of the schedule everyday. We noticed the workers were there at 8am everyday and kept the work site as clean as possible when they left everyday. We were happy that we passed all city inspection on the first go through from the inspector. I have to say we love our new high quality cabinets, and they close correctly. Final Update: They're not happy with me. I'm not happy with them. That's fine. But what they don't seem to understand is this: They don't get to decide if I'm happy or not. I decided I'm unhappy with how they handled my post-job communications. Whether or not they like that, they cannot change that. They're determined to "fix" it when it's not something they can fix. They don't understand that. The amount of calls/contact I've gotten from this simply tells me that they normally get their way with this. It's not the kind of company I plan to do further work with. It may be a fit for you, but not for me. And for their claims of "discrimination", you would think they'd mention that before offering me gift cards. My last conversations have been nothing different than the first. That's them backpedaling and trying to make me a villain after harassing me.
