I asked for just a little touch up on the back and sides cause the last place I went too didn't do it quite right, and my mom goes here all the time and she has amazing experiences there, showed the lady pictures of what I wanted and told her " I just want a little touch up on the back and sides, please don't cut anything else." She acknowledged me and what I said so I thought it would be fine and it would look good. Little did I know she would cut AN INCH OFF OF MY HAIR, And I only had 1.5 inches length of hair, so now I'm stuck in between a buzz cut, and short slick back. I do not recommend this place. It was as if Alisa didn't listen to what I wanted at all. I came in wanting 3 inches off with face framing layers and some light layering all around. Alisa ended up cutting my hair straight across and my front pieces are almost the same length as when I went in. My appointment was less than an hour and within that time she only spent about 15-20 minutes cutting my hair. The rest of the time she just spent blow drying and styling. It felt like she was trying to get me out of there as quickly as possible. Definitely not coming back. read more

I went in to see Alisa after seeing her work on Yelp. I explained to her what I wanted but unfortunately, I was left with something worse than what I came in with. She showed me my hair in the salon and initially, I thought it looked great. But after seeing my hair at home and in natural lighting I notice a very dark orange band all over my hair. After having my sister examine my hair, she informed me of how uneven it was and how it looked like I had done it myself. So after discovering this, I texted Alisa and informed her how I was not happy about the band and unevenness and she offered to do a toning BUT after consulting with another hairdresser from one of the top salons in Santa Clara County, I had quickly learned that toning would not be able to fix the orange band. Instead, it would have been a temporary fix and would have made it darker instead of it being light and ashy as I originally wanted. While the hairdresser was consulting me and looking through my hair we had discovered more than what I had originally mentioned above. We found that my roots were super brassy and there were bleed marks (marks on the hair from bleach that came out of the foil), as well as uneven tones across the head. There were light then dark spots all over my hair. Although she did offer to tone it, I quickly came to the realization that a color correction was what was needed to fix all the problems found in my hair. This was not a global bleaching but instead was partial and I paid $450 for it which included a haircut that was was uneven. Initially, I did not want to make a big deal out of this and only requested a partial refund but she didn't even give me a partial refund she only gave me 20% back. A partial refund means half, as she should know because she did a partial babylight balayage on me. Partial is half the head which she has priced at $250 but I was charged $450 including the haircut which she said price varied so was it $200 for a trim? After finding out all the mistakes I am incredibly upset with how my hair turned out and responded to her offer of the toning and told her that I would rather prefer to get a full refund after finding out how many problems my hair has after seeing her. I had sent her evidence of the bleed marks and the various bands over my hair and she decided not to respond back to my text. In addition to ignoring my message, she continued to post my hair after I had messaged her. I'm overall very disappointed and upset with what I paid for and feel like I truly deserve a FULL refund for the service. Not only did going to Alisa leave me with brassy and uneven hair, but it has also lead me to get it colored corrected costing me $600 to fix. Alisa was kind throughout the whole service but I could not recommend her for subtle or ashy coloring services as it seems she is more skilled with fashion colors. Overall I am extremely disappointed and incredibly upset about the hair service I received. read more

Alisa is a wonderful stylist and so great to work with! Definitely felt like she listened to what I wanted and both times I've gone to her I've left with haircuts that I was really, really happy with. I feel like a lot of times it takes some time to figure out how to work with a new stylist/get into the groove of communicating/etc, but I didn't have that experience with her which is awesome.
