It turned out to be a much more difficult task than I thought! He had to route the body to get it closer to the pickups to get the intonation just right, and just right it is! It plays like an absolute DREAM! I gave him 8 gauge strings, extra light springs, and a vega trem with no locking bridge or nut. Yet it STAYS IN TUNE. I can dive bomb (practically by breathing on it) and it returns to center like the man deleted friction! It's beautifully melodic and expressive just how I always wanted! She's performed at a venue before the pandemic and now she's performed online. This has given her so much more confidence. It is such a delight to hear her play and I know she enjoys it because I never made her. I know however, that some parents expect a certain measure of practical piano progress in their children and if you're looking for that, Michelle is great! She works with kids to help them practice on their own and assigns light homework to keep them directed. Michelle offers online instruction and also in-home instruction but with very strict infection control regulations. She is very cautious and cares about not spreading disease. My girl, bless her introverted heart, dipped her toes into viola in middle school in 2021. By the spring of 2022, she wanted to level up her skills, but finding the right teacher was a saga. None of the recommendations from her school panned out, until fate stepped in when I spotted a sign for in-home music lessons, and the rest is history. Two years on, and I couldn't be happier with Mr. Goran's impact. Sure, my daughter's still a bit shy on stage, but behind the scenes, her progress is something to behold. She's heading to high school soon and even talking about auditions for the advanced orchestra - all thanks to Mr. Goran's attention and encouragement.
