Well, over a month ago some friends and I planned to begin a 50th bday celebration for a friend at this location. Reservations were made for the event. Aprrox 10 people. The night itself was fine. But we had issues with out area or pod. Whatever they call it, it was #5. The games weren't responsive or functioning properly. An adjustment was made to no avail so we carried on for what was a cool start to the evening. In the immediate aftermath we received an email from "Bob" looking for review of the establishment. We provided a fair review with the good and the bad. You think "Bob" would acknowledge or anyone that is connected? the answer is a resounding NO. We tried multiple attempts only to be ignored time and time again. Just so happens I've been been an expert in face to face customer service for over 2 decades. This is the bottom of the barrel when it comes to the subject. Thanks for nothing. read more

If I could give a zero I would. We came for date night on a Tuesday to avoid the crowd. We had no idea what it was and saw they had games, so we decided to play for an hour in the "suite." The waitress, TATIANA, told us it was $60 an hour (never mentioned automatic gratuity). While we were there we had to flag the waitress down to order our food and to get more drinks. When our food arrived, some water would of been nice. We were staring down our waitress - hoping for some water with our food- while she complained to her manager about who was being put on the schedule for certain days. I heard her entire conversation with her manager. Anyway when our time was up she said we had to move to a regular table - play areas were completely empty but it was fine- I grabbed all my drinks and food and moved. We played some other games and wanted another drink but she would pass by and avoid eye contact and not ask if we were doing ok. When the bill game there was an "automatic" gratuity of $30... for 2 people... with crap service... I asked her about it and she snapped saying "automatic gratuity was the norm throughout Hardrock." I loudly said "is the auto gratuity the reason the service was so shitty? - I hope the manager heard that." I went to another bar in the hard rock and gratuity WAS NOT AUTOMATICALLY CHARGED. I use to be a bartender and server and I would HAVE NEVER treated customers like she did, she needs a reality check. Never going back. read more

The food was mediocre. The shooting games were fun, but the other games were all out of wack. It needed to be recalibrated or something. My son was making every shot into the basketball hoop, but it kept saying "brick!" He didn't receive even one point. We tried the baseball and other sports, but they were all the same. It was showing we were way off the targets, and that was just not true. That made the whole experience lame. We went to enjoy the games, but when we realized they weren't even close to accurate, we were very disappointed. I think the golf was ok, but we waited until the end to try it. I wouldn't go back because it cost $120 to rent the booth, and it was worth about 50 cents. And, there are wayyyyyy better food options at The Hard Rock. read more

Took my cousin and her fiancé to walk around the hard rock . We had to wait until 9pm to watch the light show so we decided to have a drink while we waited . So happy we decided to try PLA . It was so good with delicious drinks . Our bartenders Daniel and Oscar are absolutely the Best !! They are so nice, friendly and helpful. And the drinks are so good ! Happened by PLA on my way to the garage and decided to stop in. Great decor and layout and they have some great games. The manager Jeff showed me around the games and then walked me thru their food and drink menus. Had a cheeseburger that was cooked perfectly and came with my favorite style of fries. Service was quick. Great drinks, food and service and Tanya the bartender was fantastic. Definitely will return with my local friends and bring my work colleagues by when they are in town. read more

We decided to stay a bit after the event and everything was great. The service was fantastic the entire time. The location is sporty upscale vibe and it was great to hang out grab a bite and enjoy playing or watching sports . I would definitely recommend. PLA Sports Bar's business model of charging a 20% tip for the use of the games that your already paying $85/hr for is absurd. It's not the value of the tip, but rather the principal of paying an unearned tip. We happily tipped Natasha for her excellent service, but she never touched, or helped, with the games. And the games weren't working correctly, clearly b/c the systems aren't properly maintained. B/c of this, we won't be back and can't recommend this place, regardless of how much fun my family had. Remove the ridiculous business practice and we'll be back. The food is typical bar food, which didn't exceed or disappoint our expectations. read more

I came here with a group of 6 on a Monday night for a birthday, and we really did have lots of fun in our game room/pod. The food wasn't great, the drinks were sugary and overpriced, as expected, and my rosé was not great... but again, it's a sports bar in a hotel, but the games were so fun that we didn't mind. It's $60 for an hour in the game pod, so for $10/person it was something fun and different to do. There was plenty of space for us 6 plus more, and I'd say about half of the venue was full on this Monday. read more

PLA sports bar is a great concept. I had a good experience minus some hiccups we had. I rented the suite for an hour and during that, we needed a new ball for a game & asked our server for it but never received it. Then when we went to play golf we realized that there weren't even golf balls in our bin of equipment needed to play the games. When we asked for it, we needed to ask a different server because ours was nowhere to be found. The girl was extremely nice and was able to at least look into that but we ended up waiting an addition 10 minutes while we were trying to find someone for 5. They did add back 10 minutes to our time but the time isn't the issue. It's the inconvenience of starting a game and waiting there for a long period of time. The service was not the best. So to receive the check and see automatic tip was unpleasant. I asked why there was tip already when we had only received water & didn't even receive help from her ??? When I asked one of the girls why it was already added, she said it was automatic. They asked if they should get the manager & someone from my group responded yes. When I looked at the girls in the front, they had a nasty face as if me questioning the tip was wrong & judging me for doing so. I ended up just signing & left but honestly, the middle to the end of my experience was not well. I truly love tipping my servers but when they actually do something and assist me. The beer is always cold. However, I finally figured out their game tonight. Three different concerts over the course of about 6 to 8 months. I always start here. I always try to order off of the happy hour Shareables/appetizer menu. Each time they've been "out of" whatever I order. And each time, the bartender acts surprised, That's the game. They advertise it but it's never available. I know they're used to tourist suckers, but I'm a local, so I come more than once and notice these things. I just wanted something to nosh on. I wasn't looking for a full meal to have a full belly during a concert. Suckers beware. There's games being PLAyed here. We sent it back to the kitchen but a guy came back with the same wrong burger saying it would take another 30 minutes to make one without cheese? Found this place on the hard rock website. Thought it was going to be awesome because my boyfriend and I LOVE games and sports. It is $80 for an hour of play, but we were going to experience it. Well, it wasn't worth it!! The screens rarely recognize the balls you throw or kick. We spent more time talking to each other about how the screen isn't recognizing the balls than anything else. The food is a basic menu and wasn't awful but wasn't great. The waitress was really nice and felt bad about the screens not working and even tried to talk to someone for us, but nothing was reset or fixed. We didn't even get an extra couple of minutes. Later, we went back to just drink at the bar and the lady at the front wouldn't let us back in unless we bought more food!! I understand having people buy food while drinking but we had just been there and spent $200! It's not worth it. Never again. read more

This team really helped to make our corporate event of about 65 people be a success! The event planner, Dionne, was so helpful with her suggestions during the planning process. On the night of the event, the managers and servers were very attentive at all the right times when something needed refreshed. Everyone totally loved the event rooms...the staff helped us set up a "shortest to the pin" contest which added another element of excitement when I gave away a couple souvenirs from the shops right down the way from the PLA.
