He was absolutely fantastic: professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. His attentiveness made every guest feel taken care of, and he made sure we had an unforgettable evening. What an amazing experience we had for date night at room 901! We went in October so the theme was Halloween! They had cool themed cocktails to try but also had a huge menu of craft cocktails to choose from! Jordan was amazing and interactive bartender who had the whole room interacting! We arrived at the hotel, went to the concierge and asked for room key 901. She said we couldn't have it till 5:00. It was 4:50 so we sat in the lobby and waited. Tried to order a drink from the bar but did not get served. Finally it was 5:00 went back to the concierge and was given a key. Found the elevator and took it up to Floor 9. Made a left and found the room 901. Opened the door with key card and were kindly. We could choose any seat in the place. We found a high top by the wall. The table had a small lamp, decoration, a deck of cards and Domino's. We were welcomed by Benjamin who was our mixologist for the evening. My husband had a last night stand up on start and a Smokey old fashioned man bourbon and chocolate bitters. Loved them both. I had asked Benjamin to create a Tequila concoction and he did a wonderful job. We ordered three small plates to share. We have the black truffle macaroni and cheese, The garlic sheer shrimp with passion fruit glaze, and charcuterie and cheese board. Everything had such wonderful flavor that it was with the price tag. I can't say enough good things! This is one of my favorite places I've ever been. My husband and I came for our anniversary and it was incredible. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to ruin the surprises, because that ruins the fun! Just know that this isn't your average bar, restaurant, or dining experience. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. To drink, I got Eden's Gate and my husband got Smoke & Mirrors. Both were so good and strong without tasting like just alcohol. For dinner, I had the potato gnocchi and it was one of my favorite pasta dishes I've ever had. The menu said "spicy" so I was a little wary, but it had the perfect amount of spice so it was there, but not overpowering. The dish was so flavorful and a great size. My husband got the wagyu sando which he absolutely loved. For dessert, we split the chocolate ganache cake, which was perfect-not overly sweet or rich. My only complaint is that it said it came with brandied cherries which I was looking forward to, but it didn't. Seating is extremely limited and reservation-only. You'll need to plan ahead and make a reservation well in advance. They also validate valet parking, making it only $8. Everyone needs to go to Room Nine01 at least once. My friends and I came here for a quick girl's night since we've been eyeing it for a while. First, I would like to shout out Lucas for his exceptional customer service and making the night epic. He started off by explaining the bar's history and what makes it such a popular gem. Food: 8/10 I had the pan seared octopus. It was so tender and flavorful. The sauce they bring with it is so divine. I do think they can make the portion a tad bit larger because the plate is over $20. My friends had the lobster mac and cheese and they all raved about it. I tried a bite and it was delicious. They put a good amount of lobster in there. Drinks: 10/10 I tried a French 75 for the first time ever and it did not disappoint. It hits the spot, it's strong but also very smooth. I would definitely have this drink again. Ambiance & Decor: 10/10 Very moody, intimate, elegant and speakeasy style. Came to visit Room 901 on my birthday as a surprise from my fiancé. Safe to say I was blown away by the entire experience; from the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the A team (aka Jordan and Billy) and transported back to prohibition. Jordan's professionalism made the night feel extremely exclusive. We had a front row seat to his bar, which is definitely the best seat in the house. He is very knowledgeable and friendly; You can really see his personality shine through with his genuine interest for craft cocktails. The food was delicious! Some of the best gnocchi I've ever had! You make your reservation online, confirm with a credit card, ($50 per person no show fee) they send you a "password" an hour before your reservation, then you go in and they won't give you the room key until your reservation time. This used to be a room but people would complain it was smaller than the other ones in the hotel so they decided to turn it into a speakeasy so, as you can imagine it's intimate, with only 5 tables seating 2 people per table. Last night my husband brought me here to wrap up my birthday weekend and this was absolutely the highlight of my weekend. I've been to many "speakeasies" over the years and this is the first one that actually feels like you're being transported into the prohibition era. Jordan and Laura promptly introduced themselves and made the evening fantastic. Jordan took control by taking a moment to explain the history/meaning of the room and how the evening would unfold with drinks and food. That really set the tone of the evening. I've been to pretentious speakeasies but Jordan was approachable, charismatic and made the dining experience feel familiar and homey. He tailored his offerings based on everyone's palettes. We ordered a variety of cocktails, all of which were fantastic. I've never been a scotch guy, but Jordan got me hooked on the "Godfather" cocktail. Everything we ate was delicious as well. I have been trying to get a decent reservation date for a long time but finally I was able to make it to this speakeasy after seeing it on Instagram. After checking in at the front desk, I took the elevator to the 9th floor and used the provided card to enter the room. As the name suggests, the speakeasy is a converted hotel room at the Hyatt. With that being said there is not a lot of space and make sure you are there on time because you are only provided with a two hr window for drinks and dining. Upon arriving at the Hyatt hotel, they provide you with an access card set for your reservation time to Room 901. The speakeasy offered entertaining games like dominoes and cards, which I found to be a nice touch. My friends and I ordered cocktails which we all enjoyed. I particularly recommend trying the Bee's Knees cocktail, it's a must! For our entrees, we decided on the lobster mac & cheese skillet, pan seared potato gnocchi, and the charcuterie and cheese board. The dishes were not only fresh and flavorful but also well presented. This was such a cool experience. We booked about six weeks in advance and received updates from Lucas (our host). Located in the Hyatt Centric Las Olas, you will only be granted access to the room at the exact time of your reservation by using a secret code word provided to you. The whole experience was wonderful given how small and intimate each reservation is (maybe 10 people total were in the room with us). The food was really good and tasty, we had the charcuterie and cheese board, pan seared Spanish octopus, chocolate ganache cake, and lobster mac and cheese. What an incredible experience. It's like going back in time to when alcohol was prohibited and people had to hide in order to have fun. The atmosphere and decor are super cozy and captivating. The space only accommodates 12 people at a time. When we arrived at the lobby around 5pm, we were given the key to gain access. We were 10 minutes late, but that wasn't a problem because Jordan, the bartender and host, welcomed us very kindly. We sat down and he instructed us to choose our food first and he would come back to get our drinks. We chose the "Charcuterie and cheese board" $27 and the "Chilled jumbo poached shrimp" $22. Remember that they have a minimum purchase of $50 per person. We ordered our drinks right away: "Mexican Affair" $19 for me and "Komos reposado rosa" $24 for my husband. Luckily for me, as a birthday girl, he brought me the wrong drink, "Mango season," which ended up being free due to the mistake. Comparing one drink to the other, the Mexican Affair was much better. My husband also loved the tequila. Tequila is the only drink he drinks so he knows how to judge a good tequila. We spent time playing the games available at the table until our food arrived, and I have to say, the red jelly and fig jelly from my Charcuterie was simply delicious. I don't like shrimp but Jay said it was delicious. Around 6:30pm they took dessert orders and did a Trivia Music competition, and whoever got it right would win a dessert compliment drink. We won the first round of 3 chances, unfortunately when you win you are out of the game (honestly we would have won all lol), but it's fair. I'm not sure what drink it was but it was very sweet and tasty, we received 2 glasses and shared 1 with the table next to us because the guys sitting there were super friendly all night. I went for my second visit this past Tuesday to Room 901 at the Hyatt Centric Hotel at 100 E. Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale. For those who may not know, they actually converted one of the rooms in the hotel into a speakeasy. There are three, two-hour seatings per night to choose from, at 5:00, 7:15, and 9:30. The 7:15 seating is definitely the best because that's right at dinner time, which is what we did. Our host/mixologist was great; the drinks were fabulous, and the food was once again fantastic. We got the Lamb Chops, Poached Shrimp, Octopus, and the Gnocchi. All superb. They've also expanded the cocktail menu since I was last there, so there's something for everybody. Two of us had 6 drinks total, the four plates of food, and dessert, and the total before tip was $204. Not cheap, but worth every penny, and the experience is first rate. This is a VERY cool spot. Our second time going and each time has been fantastic. The fun is getting a key at the front desk and they send you up to the 9th floor. The speak easy is in a converted hotel room at the end of the hall. Small intimate space with about 8 two tops. Lucas was our mixologist this time and he did a fantastic job in giving some background on the history of the space as well as the drink and food menu. To note each reservation is in a two hours block which is about the right amount of time however I feel an extra 30 minutes would enhance the experience because the room starts to get acquainted with one another and chats happen between tables. This would be main feedback for improvement, make the slots 2.5 hours. Otherwise it's a great experience with great drinks and food. Def a spot for a special occasion or fun date nite. Room Nine01 is the most authentic speakeasy I've ever been to. The most perfect thing is that my first visit was a surprise, so I genuinely had no idea what was going on. You walk into the hotel, and give the front desk the password that is texted to you. They give you a room key and direct you to room 901. Being that I had no idea why we were at this hotel, I was very confused about what was going on. When you get to the door, it looks like just another hotel room door. We knocked and swiped the card to gain access. We were greeted immediately in this small, dark entry way. It all felt very clandestine, intimate, romantic, and exciting. From that point, you are directed to a table. There are less than 10 tables in the place. It is super small, and fun. There are card and dice games in the tables. You have a minimum spend per person between food and drink. We had a few cocktails each and had no issue hitting the spend. The cocktails were fantastic. They were created with care and perfection. Pierre was one of the best mixologists I've ever come across. You are in a two hour block because of how they book, so be prompt. Absolutely cannot wait to return here. Such an incredible spot. In the end he gave us all dessert shots which were fire! Decor/ Ambiance: Don't wanna spoil it but it was a very intimate atmosphere, dim lights, vintage decor, loved how exclusive it felt. I'm inclined to drinking in prohibition-era themed settings and so naturally I made my way to Broward to partake in this experience which I certainly recommend to those seeking an alternative way of celebrating their evenings. Reservations are made through their website and are quite easy to book. Since they only seat 8 people for every two hour block, you will likely need to make the resy in advance but I was okay with that. An hour before your check in time, you'll get a text with the passcode to let the front desk know of your reservation. I do like that complimentary valet is included yet I opted to self-park since there was availability nearby. Upon walking in at 7:15pm, we took our seats in the dimly lit room as our host explained the ordering procedures for us. They took food order first and then proceeded to cocktails thereafter. Each table came with a wooden table game perfect for kicking off the vibe. Our bartender gave us an in-depth background to how this spot came to fruition along with collaborative "name that song" games with the incentive of a free shot which was a nice attention to detail. I enjoyed my time here and the drinks were prepared to my liking which signals me to give a thumbs up to the whole experience. I'd gladly book again. I dig it. read more

**Vegetarian Friendly** Such a fun, one-of-a-kind experience hidden in Las Olas. It's located in side the Hyatt Centric Hotel in Las Olas on the 9th floor. Absolutely beautiful and romantic ambiance. Great for a celebration or a fancy date night. The inside seats a total of 12 guests. I was very surprised to find a vegetarian/vegan menu. We loved the table games (tic tac toe and dominoes) on each table. You are required $50/person minimum - which is fairly easy to reach. Our Order: - Vegan Quinoa and Sweet Potato Hash - Vegetarian Beyond Meat Tacos - Pan Seared Potato Gnocchi Gnocchi was delicious! The tacos had great flavor, however it's a chunk of Beyond Meat in the tacos (not crumbles). The Quinoa dish was a huge let down. Drinks on the other hand were phenomenal. The bartender can make anything you wish. In general, the non-vegetarian dishes are tapas style, the Vegetarian options were better sized entrees. Visited this "Speak Easy" spot with my husband to see what it was about and I found it interesting and fun. The room is in the 9th floor of the Hyatt Hotel in Las Ilas and it's very small so only about 15 people fit but it's cozy with nice ambient lighting and a good bar tender! The music is classic oldies and the food is pretty good- we had the lobster Mac and cheese which was really good, the lollipop lamb chops and the charcuterie board (this one was ok, not very presentable). Dessert was a chocolate cake which tasted flourless and it was decadent! The bartender was also the waiter so he serviced us for food and cocktails, he had an attendant to pick up and refill water glasses but no hype of anything fancy. We had to make a reservation 2 months in advance but it was totally worth it. The decor was great and the ambiance was amazing. The bartender made one of the best old fashions I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend the vegan quinoa dish was fantastic. Played dominoes and enjoy the night. read more

I will first state the room is incredibly small. Every pic makes this speakeasy look larger than it is so just be prepared. It seats a total of 12 People (hence it can be hard to get a reservation) they do three seatings a night and you are not allowed entry into the room until your res time. The mixologist is the only person in the room with you and will take everyone's food order at once. The food tasted great as well did all the drinks we tried. I've heard people complain about it being too quiet. Honestly I think that depends on who else is in your time slot. We had three birthdays so it was a lively group. Most of the people during our time stayed for a drink or two then left so we ended up having the whole place to ourselves for a good amount of the time allotted. I would come back if someone wanted to experience it but due to the difficulty of getting a res have it low on my list. read more
