This is a tough review to write because I genuinely wanted to love Timbr. We visited on a Wednesday around 7:00 p.m., and there mostly empty tables. While that's never a great first impression, I tried not to let it influence my expectations. Timbr has all the ingredients of a great restaurant. The concept is unique, the atmosphere is inviting, and you can tell a lot of thought went into creating the space. It's the kind of place you want to become a local favorite. Unfortunately, where it falls short is the execution. Here is what they are doing right: Our server, Pal, was outstanding--an easy 5 stars. She was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely made us feel welcome. The atmosphere is what will initially draw people in. It's beautifully curated, incredibly Instagram-worthy, and almost ethereal in parts. It's a space you actually want to linger in. Excellent drink specials. I appreciated the thoughtfully edited menu. I'd much rather have a smaller menu that's well executed, and this one offered enough variety for everyone. Here is where they need to reconsider: The music didn't fit the space. Throughout dinner I heard several upbeat Beyoncé songs, and while I love Beyoncé, it felt out of place in an upscale, foliage-filled dining room. A more cohesive playlist would elevate the entire experience, and that's an easy fix. The cocktails also took much longer than expected considering how few tables were occupied. I ordered a spritz that was just...okay. (I have never criticized a sprits before) That's another area that feels very fixable with a little refinement and consistency behind the bar. The food was good, but it was forgettable. Beautiful in presentation, but lackluster in the end. We had the Steak Tartar which had little/no flavor. I would skip the steak and just ask for the potato pieces with the mustard because those were excellent! For mains we had Sea bass, Cacio e pepe and Steak and Frites. The pasta was the best thing we ordered. It was fresh, perfect ratio of sauce and rich but balanced. There was nothing special about the others. They were not bad, by any stretch, but they were not dishes I would crave again, pay that price for again, or go back to have before going to another spot. I realize this is a harder fix.... Timbr has a friendly team and a beautiful dining room, but overall the food was a disappointment. I expected much more. The highlight of the meal was the Hokkaido milk bread--it was excellent and easily the best thing we ordered. Unfortunately, everything else fell short. The steak was served with a cold center and lacked seasoning, making it underwhelming. The carrots were described on the menu by another name, so I didn't realize they were prepared with curry. If that's a prominent flavor, it would be helpful if the menu made it clearer. The crispy chicken bao buns were just okay and not something I'd order again. My friend had the shrimp cocktail, which was fine but nothing memorable. The one dish that really stood out besides the milk bread was the bucatini cacio e pepe, which my girlfriend loved. The service and ambiance were the strongest parts of the experience, but great hospitality can only carry a meal so far. Came here for a friends bday and wanted to try their "Magic Hour" (aka happy hour). We sat at the bar in the floral room which was definitely a vibe. The lounge was not open to even look at so maybe another day. The bar staff was attentive and friendly. While the cocktail options for Magic hour are pretty basic, the food more than makes up for that. We got the old fashioned and cosmo which were perfectly fine but made very standard/textbook. Cocktails on the regular menu seem more adventurous but are also double the price. The Caesar salad was definitely not standard and requires a little dissecting but it's tasty. The burrata, all I can say is I have yet to meet a burrata I don't like. The wagyu tartare was tasty but a bit messy to eat. The truffle pomme purée (basically truffle mashed potatoes) were incredibly light, smooth, and probably drinkable if you were in private. So luscious. And finally the dish I will be dreaming about until we meet again, the bucatini Cacio e Pepe. This dish is one of, if not these best Cacio e Pepe I've ever had. Went the other night for the first time with my dad and husband and the food was to die for. We had the steak tartar and the beets for appetizers. For our main course my husband and I had the 30 day aged ribeye and my dad had the duck. I don't eat duck but he said it was excellent. The staff was friendly and prompt. Wow! What a great evening! We were greeted by a very friendly hostess..and then immediately greeted by our server, Paul. Paul was friendly, offered great suggestions and was honestly wonderful. The steak frites was cooked to perfection and the carrots and mashed potatoes were presented beautifully and tasted delicious. We made a reservation for a mid-week birthday dinner and it was a perfect girls' night dinner. It's a very chic and modern restaurant, decorated with trees in the front room. But there is also a back room, that is literally flowers all over the walls and even the ceiling is covered with flowers to disguise the top floor that's there. And get this - there is a lounge that's opened on closer to the weekends and Thursdays is Ladies night! Of course we ended up sharing all the dishes amongst the ladies, so we ordered a little bit of everything between appetizers, entrees, and desserts. This restaurant is hidden in the downtown area of Fort Lauderdale. Specifically in the Las Olas area. We didn't see a valet, but the were a parking garage about a 1/2 block away. Stepping inside the restaurant you are immediately transferred from concrete downtown to a tree filled park. Go just past the kitchen area and you are transferred from the park to a flower garden. The decor is so beautiful and detailed!! For appetizers, we shared the arancini balls & a caesar salad. For entrees, we shared the filet mignon & the salmon. We went to TIMBR in Fort Lauderdale for dinner on a Sunday night and had such a great experience. It wasn't very busy, which made for a relaxed and intimate vibe. We sat in the atrium (the "flower room"), and it was absolutely beautiful -- definitely the best spot in the restaurant in my opinion. If you want to sit there, make sure you request it when making your reservation, because it's not guaranteed otherwise. We ordered the Pan-fried Shishito Peppers, Charred Octopus, Baby Red Oak Caesar Salad, Bucatini Cacio E Pepe, and Prime Filet Mignon. Everything was delicious. The filet was incredibly tender, and the cacio e pepe was out of this world. It is very cheesy though, so if you don't like your cacio e pepe super rich, I'd recommend asking them to go a little lighter on the cheese. Our server, Will, was fantastic -- attentive, friendly, and really elevated the experience. He made sure we were well taken care of without being overbearing. Timbr deserves all their flowers for their presentation, meticulous attention to details, and delicious cuisine. I brought my family here for a galentines day celebration and we were blown away! I made reservations for the flower room weeks in advanced and I was disappointed when we arrived after finding out we were not sat there. I spoke with our nice waitress and she called over the manager, Michelangelo, whom was able to accommodate us in the flower room. We were all so grateful. From there, the experience was just lovely. We decided to share everything and order a taste of their best options. Every bite was memorable to be honest. The rib eye and the Casio e Pepe were among the best I've had. The steak was cooked to perfection and the noodles were rich in flavor. You also cannot skip out on their chocolate cake! We were also able to see the upstairs lounge area that was not yet opened. Onto The food- limited à la carte menu and portions were small. We had the tiny beef empanadas as appetizers which had delicious filling and the flakiest dough. Hubby had the airline chicken which was about 4oz and overcooked. It came with a dollop of mashed potatoes. I had the lobster pasta which was tasty. Service was good but drinks didn't come out together, mine was delayed and entrees took a bit long. The second floor is a lounge bar and has a bouncer/security checking ID. Location is great in Las Olas but I feel it's trying too hard to be Miami-like. There were about 3-4 hostesses which was unnecessary and 3 floor Managers just standing around trying to keep busy. From an operations viewpoint , if managers are hanging around hostess stand and bussing plates to keep busy, then you're over staffed. Increase your menu options and invest in some good wooden menus that go with your "timber" concept not the tiny paper menus being presented. Featuring two unique dining rooms. The Parc, filled with lush trees that give a modern, natural feel, and The Atrium which is covered in florals and topped with a glass pyramid ceiling. Such a vibe for the perfect for a girls' night out. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs ... door opened for us, guided to our table by Junior, and our server Brad was phenomenal with his attentive service and spot on recommendations. Their drink list is impressive and extensive with some creative craft cocktails. I started with the Garden drink which was hands down my favorite one, so refreshing, light, and so good. The Paloma was another hit, and of course, you can never go wrong with a little champagne moment. We came to try the newly launched menu, and it did not disappoint. To start, we shared a few apps .. the Wood Fired Burrata was my top favorite, served with smoked tomato jam, oregano, and perfectly toasted sourdough. The Butter Poached Lobster was another great pick. Had huge, tender pieces of lobster drenched in incredible buttery sauce. The Yellowtail Crudo, with smoked coconut leche de tigre, charred pineapple, and Fresno chili was fresh, and had that perfect subtle kick. For mains, we ordered the Statler Chicken which was super juicy and flavorful with roasted sunchokes and served with truffle mashed potatoes. The 8 oz Prime Filet Mignon came with the same silky truffle mash, wild mushrooms, and crispy shallots .. melt in your mouth good. We also tried the Pan Seared Yellowtail Snapper, which was light and perfectly cooked, and last, the Short Rib Fagottini had like an apple cider braised short rib in a plum wine sauce and crispy sage. The pasta could've been cooked a touch longer, but the flavors more than made up for it. Dessert was the Two Tiered Cheesecake with a graham cracker crust, candied pecans, salted caramel mousse, and blackberry purée. It was heavenly. We ended the night upstairs at the Lounge, where a live DJ set the mood. Dark, sensual, and seductive .. a total vibe and the perfect way to close the night. All in all, Timbr is a must visit. The ladies started with a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine while the men in the group shared some apps of their own. We really enjoyed the board and wine. My friends and I were visiting Fort Lauderdale for a show a couple of weeks ago and ended up having a late dinner at Timbr after it was recommended by a woman that was sitting next to us on the Brightline. We had the beef carpaccio, the burrata, the broccolini, the rustic country salad, the brussels sprouts, the timbr pizza and the tiramisu puff. Overall, the food was okay, but the carpaccio was great. My second favorite dish was the brussels sprouts. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was interesting but I can't remember loving it. What makes Timbr special though is the server. Shawnice was lovely and knowledgeable. The staff really make an effort to help each other and to make sure that the patrons are comfortable. I say that because a couple of the other servers came over to check on us when they saw Shawnice was busy at other tables. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and food w/ beverage pairings. Due to our group being large, it took time to get everything on the table. I ordered an old fashioned, beef carpaccio and corvina. The old fashioned was entirely made wrong. The second attempt was much improved and flavorful. The beef carpaccio was the star of the show and the best thing I ordered. Simple delicious. The corvina was another story as it was too dry and crispy. I did not enjoy it at all. Had an amazing evening here. Everything was better than perfection. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Timbr has only been open since February and it's making a name for itself. The inside is choreographed like a movie. Three distinct rooms under one roof. Enter into the Parc room with warm wood tones, and beautifully decorated subtle lighting. Behind this is the Atrium with over 90,000 artificial flowers under a glass pyramid and perfect for capturing that great photo. There's an upstairs lounge thats only open Thursday - Saturday. We were seated in the Parc room and I had a full view of the open kitchen. It was like watching magic. Robyn Almodovar of Chopped and Hell's Kitchen fame has that kitchen running flawlessly. If you like Octopus... the appetizer was so tender and one of the best. Grilled Octopus tossed in chimichurri and garlic aioli and placed on top of little potato squares. Seared Corvina - this dish deserves a Michelin star. The fish was light and buttery and every bite melted in your mouth. The almond crumble on top was a perfect pairing leaving you with just a hint of sweetness. Bone-In Pork Chop. A big 14 oz Pork Cops served on top of White Bean Ragout and a golden berry relish. This dish fell a little flat. It needed something but I'm not sure what. The Corvina was so good it made up for this. For dessert we shared the S'mores. It came to the table in a sealed jar and when the top opened it was like having a Smokey Old Fashion but with Chocolate and marshmallow instead. So unique and a beautiful presentation. I was excited to try Timbr in Fort Lauderdale, bc there are not many good steak/American places in Aventura other than Houston's. The restaurant was dimly lit, but beautiful and elegant. We both arrived starving so we got to ordering right away. We started with the Caesar salad (delicious) the roasted salmon, roasted carrots and the short rib pasta. Nothings better to me than a perfectly cooked piece of fish and they really nailed it. I also loved the carrots and the pasta was also flavorful. You're paying for the ambiance. We went to the lounge for drinks and the flower room for food. The lounge- you're required to buy water, there is not complimentary water in the lounge. We got one bottle of water, and one old fashion. It was about $30 for both. The music was super loud, and it was very chilly. The flower room was where we ate dinner. Our server was really nice and had great timing. Our food came out in about 15 minutes or less, on a Saturday at 10PM. We ordered the duck, and the scallops. The duck came out somewhat cold and the overall flavor of this duck was not great. It had a bloody taste, it may not have been the best representation of their duck for this particular order. The scallops were excellent. They came out hot, buttery, lemony, Smokey- they were very good. They were served over the potato purée , which was excellent. Overall, you're paying for the ambiance. Worst service I've experienced in a long time. When you go with a group (anything 6 or more) there is a minimum spend per person and it's insanely disproportionate. Our group ordered multiple appetizers, entrées and drinks per person. We still couldn't hit the minimum. Then we started ordering desserts because they told us we didn't hit the minimum, and they kept saying they were out of everything. So even though we were trying to spend money and they were out of things, they still required us to find something to spend money on. Their solution was to buy a gift card! Tried it again a few months later for an event. Private event upstairs. Waited at the bar for 10+ minutes every time trying to order a drink. Our ticket got us 1 free drink, when we asked what it was, the bar tender looked annoyed and said "a drink." Went back to order our next round, waited 10+ minutes with zero acknowledgment while watching the same 2 bartenders serve one single spot of the bar and ignore everyone else and just left. It has a dim setting for that relaxing feel. They have a back room the call the flower room that speaks for itself, covered in head to toe with colorful flowers. They also have an upstairs club after you are done with dinner you can head up for more drinks and socialization. I had a Moscow mule and a margarita pizza and both were tasty. Came here for a reservation with one of my friend's birthday and the restaurant definitely impressed us. We didn't have to wait for a table. We just said it immediately with the reservation the staff were super friendly and nice as soon as we walked in. The drinks were definitely a little different but with great recommendations from our server, we made a great choice. I got the risotto with mushrooms and it was delicious even though it didn't have meat. When you get there, you also have to explore the back room that is decorated with flowers from the top to the bottom. read more

Gorgeous Space, but the Food and Drinks Missed the Mark Timbr is visually stunning. Dined here on a Saturday evening with two of my girlfriends. The restaurant features two beautifully designed dining rooms, each detailed to perfection. It also has a very modern and cozy upstairs bar and lounge area serving great drinks. The ambiance alone is enough to draw you in--it's elegant, stylish, and thoughtfully curated. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the space. It was just okay--nothing memorable. The drinks were also a letdown, so I played it safe with a glass of prosecco until I went upstairs and had an amazing espresso martini. I'd return for the atmosphere, but I hope the menu and cocktails in the dining area improve to match the incredible space. Our server on the other hand was exceptional. read more

Absolutely perfect new-ish (since February) classy restaurant on Las Olas. Service and food were both 5 stars. From check-in desk to bar to server, everyone was sweet, helpful and friendly. Try the grilled octopus and corvina. Both were expertly prepared and delicious. Ambience is terrific. It's softly lit and relatively quiet. There's a nearby parking garage so parking isn't an issue, I find this important since it's in downtown Fort Lauderdale. As soon as you leave the parking garage, you won't get lost finding the restaurant. The big yellow letters at night stand out. The outside of the restaurant is very nice and definitely catches the eye. As soon as you walk in you are in a different world. There are two rooms where you can sit and dine and the upstairs is a lounge area. Even the menus are out of this world. The menu is almost telling a story. As it unfolds it reads "once upon a time," once you turn the page it reads "your dreams came true" and it closes with a butterfly at the end. I will post a video of the menu. I thought it was really cool and I had never seen a menu like this! We had reservations for 8:30 but did not get seated well past 9:00. We kept asking when we were being seated and we kept being told it would be in 10 mins and then 15, etc. Before we knew it more than 30 minutes had passed by. We sat by the bar while waiting for our seats and everyone was friendly. We even ran into the manager and he was super nice and dressed very well! When we finally got seated, our waiter was nice. He could have been more attentive since the room we were in had cleared out a lot, but nonetheless he was friendly and very nice. We ordered the Nutella espresso martini and it was good and the food was even better! We had the oxtail empanadas, Caesar salad, charcuterie board, truffle fries, and timbr pizza. All so good! The bathroom was disappointing as only one stall was working and the one stall barely had any light in it. I do think this restaurant lives up to the hype and it's great for date night, girls night out, or a fancy dinner. read more
