Albeit the bowl was delicious, I don't recommend this location for dining at or picking up. First of all there's no parking except a parking garage directly behind the location. Playa Bowls will validate, but it's a pain in the butt. Secondly I ordered one bowl for pickup at 11:30am, I kept getting notifications that my pick up time was getting pushed later and later. It got to the point where the app was saying a 1:30 PM pick up, So I got in my car and drove there, went through the rigmarole of the parking garage and went in to see what was going on. From what I could see the two employees just kept pushing my order back every time someone came in the store. Very unorganized, And none of the employees are wearing masks etc. I don't recommend for pick up orders at all, Extremely inconvenient. read more

I am a regular at the Palmetto location, and this spot is just as cute with the same decor and charm. I ordered my usual bowl with a half green and half coconut base, but the green base was very watery, which is something I've never experienced at the other location. The fruit on top was still very fresh and the presentation was great. Hopefully, this was a one-time thing, as this store is also in a great location close to the beach, so I plan to stop by more frequently. read more

Terrible experience where I had to wait ~40 minutes to order and receive 1 bowl. Lesson learned, avoid this understaffed establishment or order online and pick up at designated time. The store is dirty and last time I went the bathroom was out of service, almost didn't want to eat here. How are you an Acai shop with no Acai? Playa do better. Great spot for açaí and other bowls! Playa Bowls allows you to split your base, so I opted for a half açaí half pitaya base topped with granola, honey, and banana. The bowl was pretty big, and I would consider it shareable and a good value for the price. This location is about two blocks from the beach, and has indoor and outdoor seating. The walls inside are painted with Playa Bowl designs, and the menu board is very visually appealing, taking up a whole wall in multiple colors. There are lots of preset options for base/topping combinations, as well as the chance to customize. I definitely plan to return and visit other locations. read more

Been here 20 minutes and the first person here when I arrived wasn't even able to order; yet the employees are holding hands while taking out the trash (it should be a one person job). I was unpleased in multiple ways and felt discriminated against as a pregnant lady. When ordering I made sure to tell the cashier I didn't want granola on both of my bowls while waiting for my order I had to go pee really bad ( I was 38 weeks pregnant) I looked up and saw a mom and her 7-year-old daughter asked to use the bathroom in my head I was relieved because when they were finished I thought id be able to also use the bathroom. When asking the worker if I could use the restroom she straight up told me no after letting someone use it and said I could walk somewhere else to use another bathroom. ( I already have trouble walking because I was 38 weeks pregnant and I also didn't want to walk to the bar nearby that had drunk people. I was upset and a bit mad they eventually called my name for my order and both of the bowls had granola on them. I was about to pee my pants so I just took the wrong order and left. The granola ended up cutting my gums and I couldn't eat any food comfortably for 3 days. read more

I love Playa Bowls, even used to work at one of their locations... but this location... yikes. I came here yesterday and asked specifically for gluten free granola and when I got my order they told me they put regular granola on the bowl because they ran out. They were busy so I just didn't eat it because i would've gotten sick if I had eaten it and gave it to my cousin since he never tried it before. He said it was good but the pineapple was nowhere close to being ripe. Then decided to give this location one more chance and asked and even emphasized no granola and they still put it in there, just scrapped it off. While the bowl was great I got completely sick afterwards and even bit into a huge chunk of it they missed. If someone ask for no granola don't just assume scraping it off the top is enough. I thought it took them a long time to take my order before because they were busy but this time there were only two of them and it still took forever for them to even take my order. That and when I asked for a custom bowl I was up charged for items that should've came on the bowl. Overall really disappointing store. I have been to a few location in the New Jersey area and always had a great experience! I am writing this review to say that the staff working at the Deerfield beach location all look like they just rolled out of bed. I have been in Deerfield for the past week and went to Playa Bowls three different times. All three times there were different staff working there, all walking around with their bras out of their shirts and looking absolutely miserable and as if they just woke up. I would not want people looking the way they do if owned a place like this. read more

Definitely recommend! The fruit is always very fresh and they pile it high on the bowls. My favorite bowl is the pure vida açaí bowl.

I was here a week ago and was blown away at how good the Nutella açaí bowl was. It was the perfect consistency and super thick as a bowl should be. The toppings were fresh and delicious. Today I came in to get the same bowl because my boyfriend and I wanted to split one on the beach. I was looking forward to it all day. I was a little sad to see how watery the açaí was. It was basically açaí soup with toppings. We didn't even wait 2 minutes before opening the top so it's not like it melted. It wasn't even cold. Super bummed.
