I swear, I start off every year eating healthy. But I am proud to say that this year, I have remained consistent! Breakfast is normally a meal I skip on the weekends, but I am trying to stop that trend. In steps Playa Bowls! My husband and I visited on a Saturday morning, as soon as they opened their doors. The music was jumping, the staff was welcoming and every last thing on the menu sounded amazing. I ordered the oatmeal bowl which had strawberry, banana and nutella (I removed the coconut flakes), while my husband had one of the green bowls. My oatmeal bowl was very good, so filling. My husband also enjoyed his green bowl, he was actually raving about it all day!

Overall- super sweet and yummy, cute summer vibes, with fast and kind service Took my little one here on a special date and we split a bowl. It was over $14, which to me felt expensive, but it was a lot of food. I wish they had smaller and cheaper options. I did like that they let us get two different bases. I preferred the green base but my son preferred the açaí. The granola was very sweet. Overall it was fun and refreshing.

The BEST acai bowl in the area HANDS DOWN! I got to try their acai bowl and it was the best I have had in a while. Flavorful, sweet and perfect texture-wise. We have Toastique right next to our house, but I would drive the extra 15 minute to Playa Bowls if I need to satisfy my acai cravings. LOVE that we have this option.

This is my first time ordering playa bowls since I've heard so much about it. My fiancé ordered a playa coconut power bowl that was DELICIOUS and creamy! I had a banana/cinnamon/figs/walnuts oatmeal bowl that was good, but pretty standard. I would solely come for the coconut bowls, it was very filling and refreshing.

Cool vibes and friendly staff. This is my second visit and won't be my last. I got the Mucho Mango bowl and it was delicious. I don't recall the look at this bowl I got but it was equally good. I'll definitely be coming back.

It's a smallish space and indoor seating was really full at 11 AM on a weekday. Because of rain, the outdoor benches were not in use, and I saw closed-up patio-umbrellas too. I ordered from a kiosk or you could order online or in person. I got the bacon egg and cheese croissant and it was made quickly by welcoming staff. It was a regular size croissant with very light cheese and a layer of crispy bacon pieces in a well toasted croissant. The flavor was good. This café also sells a number of beverages, including fresh ground espresso, and various teas And they sell some bakery goods, candies, and quite a variety of dry-packaged teas and coffee. The parking right in front Café Jun can get pretty full, but there's plenty parking in the rest of the shopping center. You can enter the shopping area from eastbound US-40 Baltimore National Pike, or from westbound Frederick Road. It's just east of Centennial Lane/Bethany Lane and about a mile West of US 29. The larger shopping area has a diner 3-strip mall sections, one of which is called Princess Shopping Center, so I'm a little confused which mall-name covers which shops. They have a summer concert planned! That should be fun!

This is how they find you to serve your food. I ordered a regular matcha latte, a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on croissant bread and their famous croffle. I loved their matcha latte. It's pre-sweetened so no need to add extra vanilla syrup or anything. This does not taste like a traditional matcha, which in my opinion tastes like dirt. This is a sweeter, dessert like matcha. I didn't care for the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It was kind of dry and it tasted like something was missing. The croffle was amazing. It has a nutty, pecan like taste to it and it was topped with vanilla gelato and blueberries. I couldn't really taste the maple syrup but it was delicious nonetheless.

I wanted a smoothie, found this location on Google, and decided to give it a try after hearing friends rave about the chain. Unfortunately, I regret stopping here. I ordered online and when I walked in, I initially didn't see any employees. Then I noticed a woman dressed entirely in what appeared to be street clothes: pink beanie, shirt, sweatpants, and Crocs. At first, I honestly thought she was a friend or family member helping out in the store because there was no uniform or name tag. Then I realized she was actually making my drink. Not once did she greet me, acknowledge me, ask if I needed help, or even make eye contact. I stood in the pickup area waiting while she slammed blender containers around and appeared visibly irritated. She poured my smoothie, put the lid on, slapped the sticker on the cup, and dropped it on the counter without saying a single word. I reached for the drink and said, "Thank you," and received absolutely no response, just a look. The customer service was terrible, and unfortunately, the smoothie itself was not good either. First impressions matter, especially early in the morning when customers are tired and simply hoping for a pleasant experience. Please train employees on basic customer service skills. A simple greeting, acknowledgment, or "have a nice day" goes a long way. And if employees are unhappy or not prepared to work professionally, they should not be interacting with customers.

**Disappointing Experience at This Location**…read more I normally enjoy Toastique, although I've noticed this particular location isn't nearly as friendly or welcoming as other Toastique locations I've visited. Recently, I ordered my usual Salmon Toast and was disappointed to discover that the cucumbers were clearly not fresh. When I lifted the salmon and greens to cut into the toast, the cucumber slices were almost transparent and looked anything but fresh. I brought it back and explained that I was happy to have it remade, but if they didn't have fresh cucumbers, I would prefer a refund. They ultimately remade the toast without cucumbers. Before leaving, I checked my bag and noticed there were NO cucumbers. When I asked why there were no cucumbers, there really wasn't an explanation. Apparently, someone eventually found some fresh, crispy cucumber slices and put them in a small to-go container for me to add to my **$16 single slice of toast myself.** That just felt like an odd way to resolve the issue. Another frustration is that this location never asks or reminds me about the Toastique rewards program. I visit fairly often because this location is in my neighborhood, yet I didn't even know they had a rewards program until I visited another Toastique location and was asked about it. Had I known, I could have accumulated quite a few rewards by now. I still enjoy Toastique, but this location could definitely improve when it comes to friendliness, attention to detail, and making customers aware of the rewards program.

It started in Taiwan, where they used powdered cheese, powdered milk, salt, and whipping cream. In China, they made a version that used real cream cheese, real milk, salt, and whipping cream. Bengong's Tea is a franchise company that originated in China in 2014. They have over 100 stores in China and plan to expand in the USA . Being a franchise means their drinks are based on standardized powders. That being said, we bought 2 drinks to see if they make milk teas as good as some claim. 1) Burnt Caramel Cheese Milk Tea It had black tea with lots of milk. The cheese foam and burnt caramel drizzle was on top. We got 50% sugar and less ice. The proper way to drink cheese tea is to sip it so you taste the foam first and then the tea flows through it. Don't use a straw. My wife hated the flavor of the milk tea. I thought the foam was interesting and the milk tea was typical except for the excessive milk powder flavor. The foam tasted like whipped cream with a hint of cream cheese. The caramel drizzle had a slightly burnt flavor and moderate sweetness. The foam and caramel were good and should be paired with a different milk tea. I don't recommend this. The milk tea is the problem here. 2) Black Rice with Taro Boba Milk Tea It had black rice tea and milk with taro boba and brown sugar boba. We got 50% sugar and no ice. The cup was full even though we got no ice. Nice! It had a modest milk flavor with a light roasted rice flavor. There were lots of brown sugar and taro boba. Not much taro flavor in the boba. Loved the brown sugar boba and the large amount! This will fix any boba craving. Overall, it was very satisfying in both the tea and boba. The store space had two businesses, Chin Xi'an Style restaurant and Bengong's Tea. When you enter the dining room, Bengong's Tea is on the left. If you order at the cash register, you'll see a sign that says, "CASH ONLY." They have an order kiosk for credit cards. There is a 15% Yelp Check-in discount that can only be used at the cash register. Beware, the overhead menu had old prices. Everything is 75 cents more. The service person might be hidden behind the counter. It looked like no one was there until we got close to the counter and looked over. There was a woman sitting low behind the register area. She was short to start with. The service was polite and quick. The dining room and restrooms were clean. They are located in the corner of Princess Shopping Center. There is plenty of free parking. Their menu had some interesting drinks, so we'll be back. This place is more of a 3-star than a 4-star rating. Since this is a first visit, I'm giving lots of leeway.
