This playa bowl is located in the airport square. Since it's in the shopping plaza, finding parking is never an issue (sometimes you just have to park far) the inside is very cute with few seating areas. There are so many options so at first, I was really overwhelmed but now I usually get the Nutella or the Pura vida bowl. The order typically comes out fast and the workers can be little friendlier but isn't that bad. read more

3/2/24 I was so amped that there was a Playa Bowl store in the area we were shopping in. I've only ever visited the one in Stone Harbor. This store is huge, bright and beautiful. It gives that island Vibe for sure. We all enjoyed the Pura Vida bowl with the açaí base topped with blueberries and strawberries, granola and honey. They were prepared quickly after we ordered at the counter. The fruit- well the strawberries- did not look as appealing as thru should- there were white unripe parts on them. The bowl tasted fine but it did not visually appeal to me as much as past bowls. There was barely any honey in my bowl and very little granola. I would definitely go back if I were craving a bowl. I ordered 1 smoothie and 1 carrot, orange juice. The smoothie was full but protein powdered not blended well and the bananas were also not blended. The 8.00 is not worth it. The juice was also mostly carrot and not mixed well. Both drinks were not edible and ended up being thrown out. read more

This Playa Bowls location is located in a busy shopping center near the Montgomeryville mall. This was my first time visiting this location and I was pleased to see many tables to sit at and everything looked clean. I had ordered ahead for pick up and was pleased to see that that my bowl was waiting for me in a freezer. I ordered the Pura Vida bowl with a few substitutions and everything was exactly as I ordered it. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and worked quickly to get my order. If you want to wait and wait and wait this is the place for you- and if they are working on your order get ready for the two or three people who ordered after you to get their order first. But once you do receive your order be prepared because if you do not order off the menu exactly they do not do custom well. Terrible customer service. Placed an online order. Came in and gave them my full name for the order. The girl at the counter went to to look for it in the fridge and couldn't find it. After asking around, another woman came to the counter and went over what I ordered and said a ticket never printed and they would make them now and it would just be a few min. I had already received an email confirmation that my order was ready 15 min before this. After 20 min of watching several people come in and order and leave with their orders, my patience grew thin and so I went to the counter and asked an employee how much longer it would be for my order. She went to try and find it and saw her going in the back to get another employee. She said she didn't know what happened to the ticket order and if I wasn't willing to wait she would refund my order. At this point, I just wanted to leave so I agreed. I never said anything but I was so bothered by the fact that they didn't make my order a priority since it was their mistake the ticket didn't print. It was only 2 bowls. Then she couldn't find my order to refund me! But then realized they were looking for my last name for the order and not my first name, even though I had given them my full name when I arrived! So my order had been sitting in the fridge the whole time! What bothered me the most was how the woman (who I think was the manager) didn't even apologize to me. She acted like she was annoyed bc she couldn't find the order!! This was a complete waste of MY time, I placed the order online thinking I could just walk in and pick it up and it turned into a 45 min ordeal. And then as I was leaving I noticed several of the employees all gathered and giggling at us as we were leaving. It was funny they couldn't find my order? Just felt the customer service and appreciation was completely lacking. Very unprofessional. Even when I first walked in, several employees were just leaning on counters staring at customers while only one employee took orders and worked the register. Was just weird to me as there was a line. Very unprofessional vibe in there. I never really complain and rarely write reviews, but I couldn't believe they didn't even apologize. They should really take orders by # instead of name moving forward, if they aren't going to double check the names. And the bowls were just ok, had better elsewhere. Willing to try it again but def at a different location. Will not be back to this one! read more

Delicious acai bowl. It took a few minutes for them to complete my order, but it takes time since the bowls are made fresh-to-order. I had my stand-by order, Pure Vida. The strawberries, blueberries, honey & granola topped onto the acai. Yum. Just thinking about it makes me want to stop on my way home. Playa Bowls rock!! read more
