Came back to try a few more drinks. The mangonada was great. Also tried two other drinks and am concluding they just tend to be light handed with the flavoring overall, I guess that's just their preference. Staff were great, checked in for feedback. When we said we couldn't really taste the banana in the banana coffee they gave us more banana foam right away. I respect that they're actively taking feedback and trying. They can't meet everyone's tastes and preferences so my original low rating might've been a bit harsh. The menu is still hit or miss for me but at least they were nice enough to adjust it to my liking after the feedback.

I returned to try the banh mi. It was delicious! I got the pork roll one. The bread was crispy, the pickled radish and carrots were fresh and crunchy, it had a good amount of pork roll filling which was an improvement from last time. More expensive than other Viet locations, but I was very happy with it. I have seen that they have been taking feedback and I can see that they are generally striving for the best quality !

I absolutely love their Classic Italian sub. But as the franchise expanded, I've noticed a lot of variation in the service and the food quality. At the North Wales location, it's hit-or-miss. They have high staff turnover. Some of the staff are friendly and efficient; others can be lackadaisical and don't pay much attention to my order. I always specify "no raw onions," but about 20% of the time, the subs have onions. Toppings that I request "on the side" often end up on the sub. Recently, the turkey subs have had finely shredded meat, instead of the pulled turkey pieces that have always been a Capriotti's signature. Having said that, I've found the the store managers to be very responsive to my comments in the customer surveys. So I've gotten a few subs on their dime! Now for the online ordering. The system used to provide a place where you could make special requests, such as "pickles on the side," or "VERY EASY on the hot pepper relish!" But that feature is now gone, so I've had to place my orders on the phone or at the shop. As a result, I don't get credit on the Rewards program. I asked about this at the shop once, and was told it only works online. Oh well!

These are the breads that are often used in the sandwiches around the areas. These are the rolls that are often used around the sandwich shops in the area. They have the best raisin bread in the entire world. They have the best onion rolls, and cranberry rolls available anywhere I know of. The onion roll goes great with a simple egg, or fresh turkey. While the cranberry roll, combine cream cheese, a bit of sugar and fresh butter, stir till smooth and put on a warm roll. Great way to start your morning with a cup of coffee. The chocolate croissants are perfectly made. Warm them up. The whole grain loaf is like nothing you've ever tasted. It is amazing. I could go on and on, but you get the idea. It's like going into one of the best bakers you've ever gone to. Not for desserts. For baked goods. And they have a very good deli. And the best staff ever!

The left wall was full of wooden racks loaded with beautiful loaves of bread. They were large and extremely tempting. As I was there 30 minutes before closing, they didn't have a full panoply of their creations, but still enough to satisfy me. One of the women behind the counters attended to me, advising what was still available. She first mentioned a half load of sliced rye, which I immediately said, "yes," to. The aroma was strong and I knew I would love it toasted with butter and jam. She next suggested their dinner rolls, of which she bagged a dozen mixed grains, but only charged me for six. She knew what she wanted to sell while fresh, and which would have longer shelf life until the next day. I also grabbed a few large peanut butter cookies to sample later with coffee. Hearth Baker had no pastry, so I wasn't distracted by cakes, pies or other sweet possibilities. I didn't see those sandwiches mentioned by others, but anything stuffed between their bread/rolls would have to be great. What I did buy was excellent. The rye had a slightly sweet, yet grainy savoriness that was delicious, both fresh and toasted. Perfect for sandwiches or accompanying soup. The rolls were also quite good, with semolina and other light/dark flours to modify their flavors. Also terrific just sliced and buttered and ripped apart by my incisors. Those peanut butter cookies were also awesome. A little crisp on the edges, yet chewy toward the middle. Plenty of PB taste. The Hearth Baker would be a great place to learn the artisan craft of baking breads.

You know, it must be a Pennsylvania thing . . …read more This place PA has a bizarre quality - folksy, yet semi-modern. It's the physical place as it builds up for better or worse, mostly worse, with all the trash architecture and traffic, and many of the people, sometimes for the worse. Folks that just won't modernize. Read the reviews on this Jersey Mikes at 500 Forty-Foot Road (40 ft road? more bizarre) in Hatfield, PA. They all point to one grey-haired middle age culprit who is continually coming off rude to customers. And he is. Totally. But he's not cursing out or antagonizing customers. He's just rude. However, it doesn't seem to be personal, and he doesn't think he is, so we will overlook it. Fellow lunchers, just be aware that the man behind the counter, should you chance him serving you, will look at you weird, ask for several clarifications in either a demanding or blasé manner, maybe utter some snarky or inappropriate comment, but it's his way and he can't and won't change it. Just go with it this time. We don't want Mickey (who answers the several bad reviews) to fire him. This is Pennsylvania and maybe here, it should stay a little old school stand-off ish.

Every other time I've been to a Jersey Mikes (Doylestown or Horsham locations) I'm used to a very hearty sandwich I can't finish. I split half of the large size with my fiancé and it was pitifully filled. Very skimpy and the lunch meat was so unbelievably thin it was literally thinner than paper. I ordered the Italian and took out the pepperoni and pulled salami with it because they were so thin they stuck together unnoticed. I'm all for thin cut but if you're gonna have it sliced that thin, pack it on. It wasn't the worst hoagie I've ever ordered, but again, just expected more quality from Mike's. They did remember and pack my pepper spread on the side and gave a decent size container of it - so they get points for that.

I do not normally eat at gas stations and was taken back when I arrived. However, I'm an hour away from home and needed something to eat fast... then get back on the road. The lettuce and tomatoes were very fresh. The lamb was the consistency of lamb meatballs, chopped up. it only cost $10. Not bad if you're on the road and do not have a lot of time. Once you can get past the fact that it's in the gas station. I sat in my car and ate. And then got back on the road.

You can…read moreget higher quality food from the food trucks on the road down in the city for $6, and it'll come with a drink as well. For almost double the price, you're paying for less meat, a cold piece of naan, and a unfriendly service. When I went up to put in my order at the register, the cashier didn't even bother to try making eye contact with me, or look in my direction for that matter. The cashier was also not wearing a mask, and only had a single glove on his hand (the cashier was also the one frying the falafels). There was also no hand sanitizer or social distancing going on in the cramped waiting area for the food. As far as COVID guidelines go, they probably weren't following a single one... The food itself wasn't all the great in my opinion either, especially for the price you're paying for. They tossed in a cold piece of naan, which was nice I suppose since the trucks down in the city don't come with naan. However, the worker took the cold pre-cooked piece of naan out of the packaging, tossed it on the stove top for 30 seconds and then put it in my take-out box. It was still pretty cold when I ate it, 5ish minutes afterwards. The salad that it comes with was an interesting addition, but it doesn't make up for the less meat that you get overall by getting your food here. If you're really in the mood for some "halal food" (aka. chicken over rice) out here then it'll give you your quick fix. But definitely if you're closer to the city, don't make the trip to come out here to try them, it's not worth your money or your time. What I ordered: Combo Rice Platter - Chicken Rice Platter & Lamb Rice Platter (~1:30pm Wed.)
