I stopped by Playa Bowls for a quick breakfast and had a good experience overall. After scouring their menu for anything peanut butter or almond butter, I was bummed they didn't have many options. I opted for the Nutella Bowl, sub Nutella for peanut butter. I was also disappointed they didn't have different sizes to choose from. In terms of atmosphere, it's a cute little açaí shop with a table or 2 inside and a handful of tables outside. It's in a wonderful location right on Main Street, so that was convenient. The menu is overwhelming but they have different bowls for different folks ranging from acai, green, banana and oatmeal bowls. Ordered a Nutella bowl and Aloha smoothie. My order came out relatively fast considering there was a long line.The bowl was great. The smoothie I had was very watered down. I did not like it at all. My son thought so too. Didn't bother going back and asked for a new one. Overall, good, but the Aloha smoothie needs some tweaking. read more

We stopped in for some pressed juice. I really liked the carrot ginger. It had a really rich flavor, and the blend (texture) was nice. It felt very healthy and refreshing. It comes with acai, granola, strawberries and blueberries but you can substitute your fruit if you want something else like bananas. Parking is on the street. Açaí & Pitaya bowls were both too sweet for me but my kids like em sweet. The Greens bowl became my go-to cuz it wasn't overly sweet. Also great mixed half with the chia base. (My Fav: Lola Greens bowl with half chia. kids fav: açaí Pura Vida: covered in blueberry & strawberry.) The portions are generous & the fruit topping usually very fresh & good. We are sitting at the airport after a wonderful trip to Rosemary Beach! Playa Bowls was pretty much my favorite place to eat out of everywhere we tried at Rosemary Beach. (And we tried everywhere - Cowgirl Kitchen, Gallions, Reel 'Em in Fish, Amavida, etc). We didn't try Playa Bowls until our third day into the trip, and I wish we had gone the first day! We are a family of 7, (5 kids elementary/middle school age), and once we discovered Playa Bowl it became our new lunchtime routine. We would we would all get either an açaí bowl or coconut bowl for lunch. My husband and I would get the Pura Vida and add vanilla protein to the açaí base, and peanut butter drizzled on top. I could have ate it everyday! And I wish I had! If we come back to Rosemary Beach, my new food routine would be - eat breakfast at the rental house, grab a coffee/matcha latte at Amavida, go to the beach, have Playa Bowls for lunch (whole family!), eat dinner at the rental house, and then go for ice cream after dinner.
