Deserves 10 stars. I found Playful Paws online back in autumn of 2007 after I realized that dependable, reliable, and professional in-home pet-care was A MUST. I had recently acquired an extremely active aussie/border collie puppy, Brewer. Brewer and Raven, his equally athletic aussie stepsister, required MASSIVE amounts of exercise. Living in a small place in Mission Beach, work days were long for the poochies. People vacations were even longer. I had researched some kennels, and even "doggy ranches", but nothing made me feel warm, peaceful, and assured that my poochies would be in the BEST hands. .. and that it would be easy for me, too I was quickly impressed by the ease and flexibility in scheduling an initial consultation/interview with Playful Paws. Lisa returned my email promptly and followed up with a phone call outlining her availability to meet me at my convenience at my home. When Lisa arrived, immediately my poochies (and I) fell in love with her! She very professionally reviewed her services, qualifications, and fee structures. She left me with a thorough, yet not overwhelming, questionnaire to provide her with background information on my poochies. Day time visits - walks: Playful Paws Petcare has been walking Brewer for almost 3 years (3 times a week). Vacation stays - house-sits: Overnight visits from Playful Paws have made my vacations feel like "real vacations." This is an invaluable resource. Without Playful Paws Petcare, I am confident my vacations over the past three years would not have been nearly as restful or restorative. Playful Paws goes above and beyond and will even pick you up from the airport after a long trip. More over the top: Obviously this is a trust-based business. I trust Playful Paws with my poochie, my house, and my sanity . One night I arrived at my new house only to find I had lost my house key. It was almost midnight. One of Playful Paws' employees was at my house within 20 minutes with a key to let me into my house! No questions asked. I wasn't charged for this person's time. Instead, I was greeted by a smiling, amazing service provider with a clear passion for making people's lives easier. Attention to detail: Playful Paws will send you "peace of mind" texts, calls, or emails during pet sits. They notice when your poochie is acting differently, and they let you know. Flexibility: For 2.5 years, Playful Paws has been on a 3-day a week visit schedule for my poochie. Shit happens and life changes. Lisa to the rescue. I had undergone some personal transitions, and my schedule was fluctuating pretty much daily. Short notice t requests have been handled just as professionally as "arranged" visits. Amazingly. The customer service experience has been just as exemplary ever since my first interaction with Playful Paws in 2007. This is a business that does not just "sell itself" in order to obtain your business. Our 20 month old Cocker Spaniel, Bo, is the light of our lives. To know that Lisa is there for him, to love on him and take care of him when we cannot be there during the day while we are at work puts our minds at such ease!!! Bo loves Lisa so much and can't help but piddle (a problem cocker's have when they are overly excited) all over the place! Bo gives her lots of kisses too! Lisa is not only a genuinely nice person but she is trustworthy. I would never think twice about her being in our home, which was a concern and an issue with the pet sitter we used prior to finding Lisa. She always comes to our home to walk Bo when she says she will and she leaves notes for us letting us know if he "went both ways" or not! She will even put the chicken we left out to thaw in the refridgerator for us! I cannot say enough good things about Lisa and Playful Paws Pet Care! We are so blessed to have her part of our lives--not sure what we would do without her! Oh, and one more thing....THANK YOU LISA for not charging us an arm and a leg! Being a SoCal transplant, I desperately needed someone to take care of my kitties during my many trips back home. The vet had referred me to Playful Paws, and I'm so thankful for that recommendation! Lisa has been nothing but AMAZING with my two himmies - she is truly an animal lover. It's so nice to be able to travel and actually have the peace of mind knowing my kitties are well taken care of in my home. She'll even send me texts letting me know that they are doing well. So nice to have that reassurance while away! I have used her services over several holidays, occasionally with short notice and even a much longer visit for a three week trip abroad. She has always been very accommodating and responsible and I always come home to two very happy kitties! I have been using Playful Paws Pet Care for a year now and I couldn't be happier. My dog was only 4 months old when Lisa started coming. Having a young puppy, I wanted someone who was trustworthy, gentle, and kind, and had a very positive attitude. I needed someone who could keep up with the energy of a young dog. Lisa fit the bill. After meeting her and seeing how she was with my pup, I knew I had no worries. Lisa is professional, friendly, skilled, and knowledgeable. Once, she spent the night with our dog when we had an out-of-town emergency and everything was completely in order when we returned. Our dog is loves Lisa. I moved to San Diego about 3 years ago with my 2 dogs. Initially I was able to work from home most of the time, but as my responsibilities changed, I found myself having to spend more and more time in the office, as well as more time on the road than I ever anticipated. I needed to find a pet sitter, so I spoke to my vet, and she suggested that I call Playful Paws Pet Care. Allowing a stranger into my house to care for my guys wasn't something I was comfortable with, but after meeting Lisa, my concerns were quickly assuaged. My guys absolutely adore her, and she feels like part of the family. I trust Lisa taking care of my baby Pucho. My dog loves her to the point he know her name and he only does that to people he likes. Sometimes I give her short notice and she is always available and I find her price fair and reasonable knowing is not easy to take care of dogs. She is very responsible and I often text her while Im away to see how is my dog and she always reply back in a reasonable time. I recommend her 100% as I believe she treats the dogs very lovely and really care for them and that's what every dog owner ones, someone that love and care for their beloved pets when they are away. read more

I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, a fish and a turtle and Lisa takes great care of all of them! I can call her at the last minute or in an emergency and I know my menagerie will be well taken care of. She texts me every night to let me know my babies are okay. She has also called if there is a question or concern. When I come home, the animals are all happy and my house is clean and secure.
