I started this review when we first visited, which is when they first opened, and have been back twice since then. 10/10 for the space and aesthetic. Playpie is huge and I can see why kids love it! The colors and aesthetic is adorable, and it didn't feel overly crowded because of the large size. I don't think they should charge for adults to enter - I wouldn't be there unless it was to attend with a child. Parking is limited. 4/10 for cleanliness. Much of the flooring and sidings already have stains and look worn. It doesn't feel clean and I didn't see anyone cleaning most of the play areas in our few hours of being here. I also noticed a lot of parents weren't monitoring their children at all. They say no outside food or drinks but people do bring them in. We listened and didn't bring in our waters, then found out they don't sell water bottles. They have drinking fountains but water is warm and drinking fountains aren't always sanitary. Water bottles, whether sold there or from home, should be allowed. Some staff don't interact or welcome children when going into certain parts, which is odd. The girl who checked us in was wonderful, but the girl who gave us our stamps didn't say hi or smile. We went to the water area and the girl started putting on the waterproof outfit without smiling or greeting us. It's super strange and off putting. We may come back during off times but I think we'll prioritize other options that seem to be better kept up, clean, and welcoming. read more

We absolutely love Playpie! My daughter has the best time every single time we come and is always so excited to go back. There is so much for kids to explore, climb, play with, and keep themselves entertained. I especially love that there are so many different areas and activities, so she never gets bored. Everything is bright, fun, and thoughtfully designed for kids, and it's such an easy place to spend a few hours. Seeing how happy my daughter is here makes it one of our favorite indoor play places. Came here about a week ago and I was actually pleasantly surprised. There is plenty to do here and you can follow your kids everywhere they go. They did a really good job to have it be very family friendly and not just a spot for the more mobile kids. Obviously there are some areas they can improve upon like fixing certain play areas that have seen some abuse. Hopefully they do get on it and fix the remote control excavator area. Definitely an awesome place to take your little ones! It's huge and there's tons of activities they can do! There is also a water table area and car washing station! There are also obstacle courses and ball pits! Lots of slides, games, pretend play area and a reading area. I did wish they had smaller slides for the littler ones. All of their sides are a little tall or steep. There's a cafe as well that serves finger foods like pizza, fries, etc. The price is pretty steep, $35 if your kid is over 2 years old ($25 for under) and $5 for each adult. read more

I'm in love with this place! This location is only a few months old, so it is clean and new, spacious and vibrant. The place is massiveeeeee and beautiful, and there is sooooooo much to do and see and play with. I know my toddler (who is almost 2) loved it so much, but I did not realize how much I would love it, too. (100% yes we bought a 10-pack here!) Parking is not bad (depending on when you arrive) and it is very close to the 5 freeway, making it so convenient for everyone. I did not try the food at the little cafeteria, but one of the dads there told me it is not bad? We shall see on one of my other visits! This place is so big, so bright, so clean and so much to do! I have never seen that many interactive station before. Such as a car wash station where the kiddos put on rain gear to hose down cars, grocery shopping, slides, sand pit, library, hospital with CT scan machine. You can dress up as fire fighters. Mechanic horses. Axe throwing, basketball like carnival games. Your ticket includes reentry. We left for lunch and came back. They have a Cafe if you want to eat there. Tickets cost $35 per kid and $6 adult add on. We stayed a total of 6 hours to make it worth it. read more

Oh my goodness! When I tell you even I enjoyed this place as an adult!! My kid loved this place. They have anything you could possibly think of. They have a water play area, crawl tunnels, slides, jumper area, grocery store area, a medical area and fun games and much more! They are constantly cleaning and keeping the place very clean. It was very packed on a Sunday when I went but since the place is so big, it didn't feel crowded. The pricing for my toddler, me and my husband was $30 which in my opinion wasn't that expensive. I've been to a lot of indoor playgrounds and it's about the same price. The staff were friendly and my only complaint would be the parking! Worth every Penny! This place is huge. We didn't even get to explore the entire space because there is so much to do. My kids loved the slides, so many of them. I thought the water play area was so cool. The kids can wash dump trucks inside a room where they wear a raincoat and rain boots. Plus there's a water table too. The kitchen/grocery area was also a hit. So many food items, not like other places where all those get lost and not replaced. The area is really well kept, clean, and sanitary. We've been to the Playpie in Buena Park a few times, but this one is bigger and better. We came all the way out here for a birthday party and were immediately surprised by its size. I would venture to say it's twice if not almost thrice the size of the BP one. I'll highlight some things below: * Play Kitchen/Grocery Area: This is all the way to the rightmost side of the building from the entrance. There's a garden, multiple cooking stations and two sections that hold various food items. My toddlers loved this area the most. I loved that there were screens with recipes and checklists, so you can search and scan items to then "cook" the food. This would be fun for elementary-aged kids who love scavenger hunts. There's also a little closed "sand" with three remote-controlled diggers, but unfortunately, none were really working correctly for that to be fun for the kids. Pretend Play: There's a section with a fire truck and an interactive water gun screen game. It's arcade-style in that you can play as one of four firemen and shoot your water gun towards to screen to put out buildings and fires. To the right of that is a small section with a momma cow and baby cows where you can "milk" the mom and feed the babies (it's all water, of course). A little further down back near the entrance is a little mechanic section with a raised up car, another arcade-style horse game (up to 4 players) and four smaller rocking horses for the littles to ride on screen-free. Playgrounds: So many playgrounds. I think the one near the play kitchen is geared to the smallest kids with its padded and lower slides, a building block wall, and rocking toys. Past the entrance to the left is another playground section with an interactive screened ball pit, and ball tube machines. There are various obstacle-style pits, zip line-style pulls to get across and a LEGO-inspired slide. All the way to the far left is a huge open-air jumper with Super Mario-style moving parts as you scale yourself across the wall. There is another castle-like jumper next to that. Cafe: In the far back left wall from the entrance is a cafe section that serves hotdogs, fries, pizza, slushies and drinks including coffee. They have 4 Stokke-style seats for littles and rounded tables that can seat up to four people. There is a horse carousel for photo ops and a little pit section with wooden beads, trucks, shovels and a slide, perfect for littles as you relax. Party Rooms: As you follow along the back wall from the cafe, you'll find 3 large party rooms. Depending on your plan, they'll set up everything including string goodie backpacks, drinks, etc., or you can bring your own stuff. Signs outside the room state time (most were 1.5 hrs). They provide you with a cart to cart out all your stuff when the time is up, which can be helpful if you still have food and drinks for latecomers (ahem, speaking from experience). Water Play / LEGO wall / Library / Restrooms: Further to the back right corner from the party rooms is a huge LEGO-style wall where you can create all kinds of things, a small water section where you can put on raincoats to stay dry as you play with water, and a small library with some seating. The library section wasn't as big and varied as the one in Buena Park, and the books mostly suited younger children most (from toddler to elementary). Restrooms were in the far back corner and I liked that, just like the BP location, they provided slippers for the adults and children. Restrooms are clean, and they had a small potty insert, ladder at the sink, and baby changing station for the littles. My only complaint was that the trashcan in the women's restroom really stunk; on busy days, they really need to change that more often since there are many babies too. I was there for roughly four hours and only saw someone in there doing soap as it neared evening. Overall, this was a nice place for the kids, but be aware that it's definitely geared more towards maybe four year olds and up. My son was on his way to 3, but there are just some things that he could play with, whereas my daughter was more engaged with everything. For full benefit, I would say that kids 4-12 (TK through 5th grade) would have the most fun, speaking from my own experience. This is definitely a place to check out if you're in the area. They do charge for adults, but that's the norm at all their locations. You are free to leave and enter for the day, so it makes for a good day of play if it's a hot day outside too. read more

Came to their soft opening today with the youngest kiddo and he had a great time. They opened at 11am for their first day, and it was $35 for a child and $6 for an adult. Spend as long as you want here, wasn't crowded at all. It reminds me of a hybrid indoor playground with a pretend city feel. Police station, farm, firetruck, large kitchen, shopping center, library, hospital, car repair station, party rooms, theater area, and lots of slides, tunnels, bounce house, arcade games and wall climbing zone. Tons of good fun (can spend at least 2-3 hours as the place is HUGE) and we've been waiting for this place to open! It's finally available! Admission is a bit expensive but that's the price you pay for a NEW indoor experience for the kids! :) Bonus: they have a water play area with a pretend car wash & splash zone - there are waterproof jackets, pants and booties prepared for the kids, including slippers for the adults so you don't get your socks wet. They are really thoughtful about the experience! They also have a cafe inside in case the kids get hungry or thirsty. Plenty of seating in the cafe area. FREE parking! read more

My son is only one so a lot of it really is for bigger kids so I have to do everything with him/for him which is fine for me but for sure geared towards 3+ Lots to do, love seeing the staff walking around and cleaning just hope it's also being sanitized. They also have a food court area, we have not tried the food but it looks decent. Great party rooms which I'm sure one day we will use! The parking lot is pretty rough not going to lie sometimes hard to find parking and it's kinda falling apart. It does get pretty hot In there I always leave sweating, wish they could crank the AC a little more As a mom I would love to see their posted cleaning schedule and what they do to give piece of mind For a one year old it's kinda expensive just cuz we have 1.5 hours max to be able to play before he needs to go home so that would be nice to be considered for something less but for a kid who can go hours and hours it's more worth the price read more

This place is awesome!! I forgot what it used to be called, but I hated it. This new business is SO much better!! The place itself is such a good use of space for kids to play. It's way bigger than the photos make it look... I was exhausted after chasing my little one lol both my kids ages 6 and almost 10, had a good time. Though the almost 10 year old said he wouldn't come back unless it was another bday party, but he had fun none the less. My child is autistic and normally doesn't vibe with busy kids places like this, but they had a BLAST and eventually ditched me (thankfully). The employees are sweet and they keep this place CLEAN. I always saw a worker doing some sort of cleaning or sanitizing. And you could smell the clean in the air, which I loved. It was reassuring. We also came for a birthday party and the pizza was fire. 10/10 would come again. I would recommend they start some sort of monthly membership. It's that good. read more

The Laguna Hills Play Pie location is finally (soft) open and the wait was well worth it! This location is HUGE and has just about everything you could ask for. There is a giant multi-level play gym tunnel/maze structure with several interactive play areas within including basketball, axe throwing, merry-go-round, obstacle course, slides, ball pits and more. You can easily lose sight of your kid if you aren't paying attention. They do have employees within to help keep the area clean. There are interactive video games including a horse racing game and a firefighter game which shoots real water (this was a favorite for the kiddo!). There are pretend city play areas including a market where you can actually scan the fruits and vegetables, a doctor's office with an interactive CT machine, an auto mechanic, and library with real books. There is even an area where you "milk" cows by filling up bottles of water. There is a water play area where they provide jackets and water boots. They even have a pretend carwash. There is a sand pit with remote control construction vehicles inside. This was a neat idea but I foresee maintenance issues. Already I noticed the battery is one of excavators had died mid-use and the wheels on the trucks weren't moving properly. There is a cafe which serves the typical kid favorite foods. There are multiple rooms for private parties. Many other things that I'm forgetting. The $35 price tag per kid and $6 per adult isn't cheap, but I think you get pretty good value for all they have to offer. It's especially nice that everything is still so shiny and new. My only hope is that they can maintain the quality because this place will be very popular and the kids are going to destroy it. read more

It is more expensive than other places but there's no time limit and you can leave and re enter so I think it's worth it to come here once in awhile. There are play areas designated for younger vs older kids. The play structures are very big with multiple slides and activities embedded in structures from bowling, basketball, piano, ball pits, bouncy area, etc. Hard to mention them all because there really is a lot. Cafe for food with a good size sitting area, however, does fill up since the place is so packed with people on a Saturday. Not sure how it is on a weekday, but it is super busy on a Saturday. There were multiple back to back birthday parties going on. Cost was about $35 for a child 2 years up and $6 for adults. It is pretty pricey but you have in and out privileges so can leave and come back that same day. The place is open from 9am-9pm. There is a parking lot, but it does fill up on a Saturday. 30k square feet of kid-sized grocery store, library, car wash, library, kitchen, auto repair, hospital, police station, interactive video games, and loads of tunnels, ball pits, obstacle courses, basketball hoops, ropes, climbing activities, and even a food court, this is a wonderland for children ages 2 to 8-10. Lots of parking, the building appears to have been a Best Buy in a past life. Waivers of liability must be signed (understandably), and entrance is pricey at about $38/child (though only $8/adult), but the fee is for all day, so you can take your kids home for a nap and return later in the day. The only downside is that it's very easy to lose your child (though they can't get out of the building): with so many tubes, slides, and varying levels, you could be looking for ages. I recommend having 1:1 ratio of adult to child for the younger kids. There seemed to be plenty of staff and the entire area seemed clean enough, even when busy. Shoes aren't allowed (there are bountiful cubbies to store them) but socks aren't allowed required (available to purchase for $4). Our kids (2 and 4) had a wonderful time! read more

PlayPie has a huge indoor play area with plenty of space for kids to run, climb, explore, and stay entertained for hours. The admission price is a great value considering you can spend the entire day there, and there are so many different activities that children can enjoy. It's definitely one of the better indoor playgrounds in the area when it comes to variety and overall fun. The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because of the cafeteria experience. We visited on a weekend, and it was incredibly crowded. It took over 45 minutes to receive our food, and finding a place to sit was nearly impossible. Many people were reserving tables with their belongings, leaving families searching for seats. Some guests were even sitting on the floor while eating, which was both disappointing and unsanitary. I would absolutely recommend visiting on a weekday when it's less crowded, as the experience is much more enjoyable and manageable. However, if you're planning to go on a busy weekend or holiday, be prepared for long food wait times, limited seating, and large crowds. The play area is fantastic, but the dining and seating situation definitely needs improvement. read more

This Playpie is AMAZING compared to the Buena Park location. It's way bigger and had SO much more stuff to do. Our toddler loved all the pretend play stations, the water play (especially the truck wash and the fire truck water hose arcade game), the bowling pins, basketball, slides, ball pit.. etc etc etc. There was SO much to do.. we didn't get to do it all. Also nice that there's a cafe inside so we didn't have to go somewhere else for food, but just wish, as others mentioned, that the options were a little more healthy. Also loved all the little touches they put in.. like how all the high chairs were Stokke, so we trusted them. The only thing I would note that could have been better is perhaps a time limit or monitoring of how the tables in the cafe were used. We couldn't find a table to sit after we had ordered our food and noticed a handful were being held by people who left their personal belongings there to save the table but had no actual food on the table. Then, there were parents who were using the tables to do work (?) on their laptops and also had no food. As well as groups of parents who were just chit chatting (for 30+ minutes! I noticed only cuz they were still there after we left) after they had already finished eating. Overall great experience, we will definitely be back! read more

Visited Playpie today with my 16 month old and had mixed feelings. The space itself is a big plus, spacious and well laid out with plenty of room to move around. My main concern is supervision in the toddler area. It was overrun with older kids running through, and my son, who is just learning to crawl and pull himself up to walk, kept nearly getting run over. I don't say this to be that parent, but there really needs to be better separation or oversight between the big kid zones and the toddler zones. It is a safety issue for the littlest ones who cannot get out of the way quickly. Also noticed a fair amount of hair on the floor, which was not great for a space where babies are crawling around. I would still consider bringing my son back, but I would plan for a weekday visit instead. It was extremely busy and chaotic for a Saturday. read more

The gym itself is great. It's so big and has so much to do! A Lego wall, a water play area, slides, sports, groceries... seriously everything. At this moment, everything still seems clean and new. I didn't see cleaning regularly but we were only there for an hour and a half and it was so crowded. We went at 9:30 on a Sunday. It was a holiday weekend so maybe there were more people than usual? Pros : you pay a one time fee and can stay as you long as you like. Cons: people can stay as long as they like. I imagine there is no incentive to get people to leave so I can see a scenario where there's just too many people. I vaguely heard the worker tell a customer they can fit 700 people at one time. Play Pie is HUGE. There's a Lego area, water play, and even an equestrian section where kids can ride horses. Sooo many slides that will have your kid go on multiple times. There's a library and even a small section for the super young ones. You can easily spend the whole day here, so I'd definitely recommend the 10-day pass if you plan on visiting often. One of the better indoor playgrounds in the area and would also make a great birthday party spot. A few things I wish were improved: more staff to help manage the chaos, better seating management around the café area, and a few high chairs for little ones. A lot of tables were taken up by water bottles and personal items, which made it hard for families who actually wanted to sit and eat. It'd also help if more parents kept a closer eye on their kids instead of being on their phones. Overall though, still a really fun spot for kids with lots to do. read more

I have been to a dozen play places over the last ten years between here, San Diego and Temecula; it should be criminal to charge for a supervising adult, WHO CANT PLAY ON THE STRUCTURES in the first place. This is predatory. For one parent and two kids, plus tax, we're talking $100 for a couple hours! For a couple bucks more, I can spend the entire day at a massive theme park like sea world or legoland. I will not take my son here again or recommend this place until this insane pricing policy changes. And to see there are barely enough staff to manage the crowd and almost no seating for parents, this is poor business and customer experience. An indoor playground shouldn't cost as much as a a fully operating theme park with rides and a hundred employees. Do better. read more

This location opened just a few weeks ago and took the spot of an old trampoline park. It is the largest indoor play place I have ever seen. It's pricey so not an every weekend type thing, but it's so worth it on occasion. I was here with my 2 year old for 3 hours. They have everything from obstacle courses, slides, reading area, softplay, and water tables. It has obvious draw so I recommend getting there right when they open. I got here about 15 minutes after opening and there was already a line out the door. It was afternoon by the time we left and the place was so packed there was nowhere to put your diaper bag or shoes. Since there's no time limit, you can really stay here as long as you want and I wouldn't be surprised if this place hits capacity during the weekends. read more

Would've given this place 5 stars... until I got yelled at by an employee for asking for a water refill. We had already purchased food for three children, so it's not like we walked in off the street just looking for free water. The water wasn't even for me--it was for my niece after she ran out. I wasn't asking for a new cup, just a refill of the same cup they had already given me. Instead of simply saying, "Sorry, we don't offer free refills," I was loudly scolded in front of other customers. I later found out they charge $4 for a refill of fountain water. The ironic part? There's a drinking fountain inside. So the water itself is free if you drink from the fountain, but asking to refill the same cup somehow becomes a $4 transaction. If that's the policy, that's their policy. I would've paid without any issue. What I won't pay for is being publicly embarrassed over a simple question. This location is much nicer and more upscale than the Buena Park location, and it also charges more. I expected the customer service to be better too. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. read more

We've been to Looma, We Play Loud, Little Elephant, and 10+ other indoor playgrounds, and this is our favorite by far. We have two toddlers (ages 3 and 5), and this place checks all the boxes. It's extremely clean, beautifully designed, and has a huge variety of activities to keep kids entertained for hours. The layout makes it easy to supervise, and there's something for both younger and older children. Out of all the places we've visited, this is the one we keep wanting to come back to. Ok. This place definitely meets the hype. It is large and delivers. Padded floors, clean, plenty of space to explore. Cafe is pretty limited with menu items. Pretty much toddler food Don't get the hotdog. Stale bread and cooked on those rollers you see at 7-11. Pretty much tastes like it also Tots and tenders are decent. Didn't have the pizza. The other kids seemed to like it. Coffee - Americano was actually good! I had horrible coffee at places like this so it was a pleasant surprise. No outside food is allowed though. There is a unshaded old table outside, if you want to eat your own food. Highly recommended 4.5/5 read more
