There are plenty of kiosks with food and drinks, but don't miss the guy selling drinks in a bag... easily one of the best $12 you'll spend! There's also a pier where you can jump into the water, adding a fun, adventurous touch. Just make sure you're a strong swimmer, as the currents can be strong. A must-visit spot if you're in the area--highly recommended!

Since, we have been there for breakfast, lunch, dinner, music/drinks, and bicycle rentals, and we always leave with a big smile from the experience. This is not your every corner "chinchorro", so, don't get discouraged by the surrounding bars and experience all this great jewel has to offer. Everything on the brief menu is very fresh and delicious. The owners, Frances and Jesus, treat you like family and go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience every time. The ambiance is relaxing, friendly and very welcoming. Every Saturday evening they have a guest group that plays great traditional tropical latin music with a jazzy touch, not to be missed. There are probably nearby parking lots that charge, but at least your car will be more secure. There's a short walk to the entrance, and then you'll go down a set of stairs that takes you to the bottom of the waterfall. It's definitely manageable, but make sure you stay hydrated because coming back up is a little workout! Also, be careful once you reach the bottom because the rocks can be really slippery. I busted my ass, so I'm speaking from experience! This place is truly beautiful and definitely one of the best waterfalls in Puerto Rico. If you're visiting the island, I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

Definitely wear water shoes, (or tennis shoes you don't mind getting wet.) The rocks are super slippery, but totally worth the views and the swim under the falls. If you park in the falls parking lot, you will have a super steep set of stairs to get down/ back up. There are a few overlooks that you can see the falls without walking all the way down. The drive to the falls is as much of an adventure as the falls themselves- super windy and narrow roads- but a beautiful area!

I stayed on a rental (Airbnb) right across this beach. Like literally 10 steps from the property. Doesn't get crowded and few locals visit this beach. Nice, non-threatening waves and very clean. A great place to search for seashells, relax at the beach or even go for a jog. If you are looking for an isolated beach in Rincón, this place is great. Also, it's about 5 minutes away (on car) from 3 of the most popular restaurants in Rincón... Very convenient location. Finally, even though the parking is limited (to a few spots on the street), since mostly residents from the are visit this beach, most likely than not, you can find a spot for your car. Enjoy it and keep it clean!! :D

Even though it's public, it's often very calm and empty; probably because it's surrounded by a campground and people often think they have to be renting a cabin on the campgrounds in order to visit it, but this is not the case. This beach is very clean, has plenty of trashcans, and is located on the West coast of Puerto Rico, being a great place to watch the sunset. Has playgrounds nearby and plenty of parking if you go into the campgrounds (entering is free, staying on the cabins, you have to contact "Centro Vacacional de Añasco".

We took their advice after asking about nearby snorkeling locations and were blown away. The flat rocks and reef right off the coast attract all sort of different sea life and as result, this quickly became over favorite snorkeling spot we found on our trip. It really feels as clear as it can get. The feeling of watching hundreds of beautiful and blue fish glide beneath you while you're effortlessly floating along the warm saltwater is like no other. This beach is extremely chill and low key. Parking is super simple as people just park where they can along the side of the very long dirt road that leads down to the beach. You're basically behind the backyards of a long row of houses that line the beach so everyone is mindful of the neighbors. As with many of the beaches in Puerto Pico, the jetty corners of the beach curiously invite you to take a peak around them. One fella set up an entire hammock within a large tree and even started a small campfire. No one seemed to mind, again it was all very chill. The beach gets its name from this set particular of steps (stairs?) that jet out from the water. It must have been from a previous dock or structure that was originally there and it makes for a really and unique cool setting. There is also a swing set that is a popular photo spot on social media but I could not manage to get up up on it (seems like it's easier to do during low-tide). We did however to capture some pretty fun photos of different angles all around the beach. So if you find yourself on the west side of the island and want to experience some phenomenal snorkeling, you've got to find this spot!

What an experience!…read more My husband and I ended up on the west side of the island the other day and decided to go horseback riding. I grew up around horses, but it was my husband's very first time riding. We both had an absolute blast. The ranch was easy to find, parking was simple, and the staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we arrived. The process starts with signing a waiver, getting weighed, and being matched with the horse that's best suited for you. It takes a few minutes, but for good reason. they really take the time to make sure everyone is paired safely, so be patient. It's absolutely worth it. Once you're in the saddle, the ride takes you through all kinds of terrain paved roads, beautiful forest trails, and even the beach. There are a few narrow, winding paths that make the ride feel adventurous while still feeling completely safe. We even got to spend some time trotting, which was such a fun experience, especially for a first-time rider. My husband was thrilled to pick up the pace, and our guide made him feel comfortable and confident the entire time. A huge thank you to Carolina, our guide. She was absolutely stellar. She is friendly, kind, patient, and so easy to talk to. She kept conversation going throughout the ride and made an already amazing experience even better. If you're visiting Puerto Rico and thinking about horseback riding, I can't recommend this experience enough. Whether you've been riding your whole life or have never been on a horse before, this is an unforgettable adventure

I have been horse back riding before, but have never been horse back riding on the beach. It was…read morequite the experience, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. My friends and I had every intention of purchasing tickets online in advance but it slipped our minds. By the time we decided on going, and with the slight traffic that there was, we would make it there with only a couple minutes to spare. We tried purchasing our tickets online, but the website told us to call (most likely since we were so close to the time slot). When we called, they answered immediately. They were understanding of our situation and informed us that if we could make it there before 3:30, they could try to settle us into the slot. We sped there and made it at 3:15. They have a grass area for parking. One of the staff members helped us with filling out some forms, weighing us, and explaining some of the basic information. We used the bathroom before proceeding. Next, we were given horses based on height, weight, and experience. It was nice to see all the planning that goes behind the distribution of horses. They are really considerate towards the horses and make sure that the person and animal are a good fit. There were about 4 young people helping everyone onto the horses. I was originally given Godiva - like the chocolate - but later switched to Tonka - like the truck. We were split into two groups, mine led by Kiara. The experience truly does take the full 2 hours. It starts by going through a complex of very nice houses, then goes into a more woodsy environment, and then the beach. The beach was breathtaking. Our group stopped on the beach and Kiara offered to take group and solo pictures, and also made sure we were still comfortable on the horses and offered help if not. Sometimes, we'd get the horses to go fast on straight aways, and that brought me a lot of laughter and joy. My horse was a bit stubborn and did stop to eat multiple times. I was embarrassed that I could not control my horse, but the leaders were kind about it. The experience with taxes included was about $95 per person which I thought was fair and cheaper than some other ones around. I would highly recommend.
