A must-do for my family and me. We always stop by the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor right before leaving the park. There's nothing quite like walking down an almost empty Main Street after park closing while enjoying one last ice cream. The floats are excellent, and you aren't limited to a traditional root beer float--you can choose from several other soda options. If you have a food allergy, be sure to inform the Cast Member at the register, and they'll do their best to accommodate you. Depending on the season, they often offer specialty items and flavors, such as the haunted cookie during Halloween. Every visit has included wonderful interactions with the Cast Members, who are consistently friendly and helpful. I do have one traumatic childhood memory associated with this place. When I was a kid, my parents bought me a hot fudge sundae, which I promptly spilled on one of the Country Bears during a photo opportunity. After the trip ended and we returned home, I was awakened at 3:00 a.m. by that same bear standing in my bathroom doorway, staring at me with glowing red eyes. He kept pointing at a fudge stain and shouting, "Look at what you did!" To this day, I sleep with my bathroom door closed and keep a sack of tomatoes beside my bed. It was so hot and humid that everybody went for ice cream! The line as long but moves quick. Once you were inside, it splited into two cashiers. We got an additional server who took the order of the person in front of us, with a tablet. So I asked if she could take my order too. She asked and was ok. Then order came really quickly! Orange Float tasted so good when weather was hot. This was located at the end of Main street, just next to the roundabout. Very conveniently located and easy to spot. You really can't beat a hot fudge sundae on an extremely hot day in Magic Kingdom. Is the ice cream anything special? No of course not haha. It's Edy's. However, that doesn't make it not delicious! It was just what we needed to refuel with a sugar rush. The inside is a quaint early 1900s ice cream parlor. Absolutely wonderful. If you don't wanna go simple like we did, they do have some really cool creations, especially seasonally. Their s'mores milkshake looked really great. The park itself has lots of ice cream all around, however it is all soft serve. If you are wanting scooped ice cream, then you need to head back to the front of the park and stop here. The shop is very small, and on busy days, you could be in line for quite some time. There are usually two sides to order from and then the counter to pick up your food. There are also no seats inside. The shop is that small. There are some tables outside but we usually can never get a seat. They share with the hot dog restaurant across the street. Most times we just sit on the curb and enjoy our sundaes. In the summer, when its hot, make sure to eat fast, because this ice cream melts quickly! You might get lucky if you go up the ramp to the right and sit in the Tomorrowland area. This is usually only used at night but there are plenty of tables. The options are small here. They have about 6-7 ice cream flavors and a handful of toppings. My favorite is the mint chocolate chip with hot fudge. They do not list sprinkles as a topping, but they have them, just ask. They also have a few different sundaes. These are usually larger in size and have more toppings. Recently some friends had the all American which had hot fudge and peanut butter. They both said they should have shared, because most of it went to waste, it was so large. One of their most popular and definitely good for the whole family is the Kitchen Sink. This comes in a very cute plastic Mickey sink dish. It is the largest sundae they offer. All in all, this is a really great place to get some ice cream. The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is located on Main Street of Magic Kingdom inside Disney World. It is probably the most magical icecream shop I have ever been to in my life and the food definitely was filled with magic as well! Store: The store is located at the very end of Main Street so it has a corner entrance and can easy to miss if you're not paying attention for it. There are tables outside for anyone to enjoy so people not having icecream are allowed to use them. We had a hard time getting a seat but eventually got a cramped one in the end. Inside the store you are taken back to an old time icecream parlor with the look and feel of the store and also how the cast members are dressed. Everything is themed so well and really has that Disney Magic. The store itself is a little confusing. There are 2 lines that go to 2 different checkouts but all the icecream is the same. You have to gamble and pick which side you want but that doesn't mean your line will be the quickest. I picked the shorter line but didn't know that the person ahead of me was going to order 300 dollars worth of icecream so my line got bogged up and I just got stuck in that line. Other than the lines and no where to sit with your food the overall feel of the parlor is wonderful. The parlor is just not customer friendly. Food: Now this is why you go to this store. Once you wait through the awful long lines, order your food, wait to have it made, you can finally shove your face full of delicious magic icecream! We ended up getting the Kitchen Sink with the souvenir cup and it was worth every penny. The icecream was soft and smooth, the caramel and fudge were so thick, and the whipped cream was final amazing touch. The whole dessert was so indulgent and hit each and everyone of my icecream marks! Overall: We have only been here once out of all of our visits because we weren't sure of how good it was going to be. You're at Disney World so there's a million things to eat, so we just never tried the icecream before. This spot is definitely one to not skip out on and we will be making it a once on a trip time. So my girlfriend and I were at Magic Kindgom riding rides until the very end, and on our way out we wanted to get some ice cream. So we hop in line and hope it doesn't take too long. It's an impressively long line. But it moves surprisingly fast and we get our treat in no time. We ordered the Brownie Sundae (warm Brownie served with Hot Fudge, Whipped Cream Cherry and your choice of two hand-scoops of Ice Cream) with a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of cookies 'n' cream. It was so good. Four stars good. Ice cream is ice cream, we all know that, but the brownie you want to be ooey and gooey, and it was. They could use more fans for the lines waiting outside of this place bc even though it was about 9:30pm when I went it was still very humid. Is the ice cream mind blowing? Uh.. have you had Dreyers ice cream before? It's good, but it's still a mass produced product. It's not like the local premium ice cream shops that whip up their own concoctions in smaller batches.
