Passports for family of 3 (one renewal and two new): George was very helpful, yes, and I can tell he has a good relationship with his clientele. But I can't help but feel like I was mislead or overcharged for the services I received. The Oxnard post office/US passport advised I spread the word on this process. If you're renewing your passport - then plaza mail is a great option because it's quick and he does everything there (copies, payment, sending of the application) and you don't have to deal with the post office line. However for New passports - he can only help you get the application in order and make an appointment, but you will still have to go to the post office to verify and pay for everything. Keep in mind that passport applications can be filled out at home or ahead of time for free (I did this ahead of time and brought it in, thinking it would be faster). And you can also make the appointment for the post office online for free. Passport photos - at the post office, which you have to go to anyways, are $15. We were charged over $200 for this passport service -- Which was - passport photos (3), copies of our ids, and he made us an appointment for the post office for the following day. This Did Not include the cost of passports themselves. Which was another $300 at the post office. Like I said - all this can be done on your own, for free or at minimum, around $50. So if you feel unsure about your application and truly feel like you need the help getting it all together. You can go here. But if not, save yourself time and a lot of money and fill out the forms, make the appointment and get the passport photos yourself. read more

Beware: this is a very, very sketchy store. I made an appointment on a day I didn't have work a week in advance for finger printing. On the day of, I arrived a couple of minutes early. I walked into the store, no greeting. There were two gentlemen sitting on chairs talking. I approached a lady behind the counter and said that I was there for a finger printing appointment and she stated the man will help me. I stood there awkwardly as the two men kept talking and ignoring my existence. One man then asks me if I had an appointment, which I responded yes. He then continues to talk as I stood there clapping my hands to kill time and looking around the store from boredom. He finally gets up and asks me for two forms of ID. I gave him my DL and credit card since my email stated those were two forms of ID I could use and I had no trouble using it before. The man said he needs my social security card to scan and told me to reschedule. First of all, he did not need my social security to scan. No where in my email for my appointment states I need my social security as a third ID. This place is suspicious, I don't recommend coming here. Wasted my time that I could have gone somewhere else. read more

Avoid this place at all cost! Used this location as a UPS drop off since I wanted a safe spot so the package wouldn't be left at my door. Well, When my spouse arrived, the gentleman instructed to search among the other ups boxes sitting in front of the counter. Did not ask for the UPS slip or ID. just look on the counter for your package. Surprise, Surprise! Our package was not there bc apparently some random person picked it up. When asked about the policy of releasing packages to those whose name is not labeled, he said it was UPS's. UPS will not allow a package to be recieved by anyone other than the intended reciever unless a form is filled out. The man assured me that UPS will reimburse me for the value of the package and not to worry. I smell inside job! filed a theft report with local PD, immediatley called UPS to file a claim, and contacted Apple (the sender). This UPS drop off location, it's not safe. Boxes are left out in the open at customers' discretion to sort. Funny, how the man behind the counter said he had cameras but they do not record. Quality control is shit in this store. Go elsewhere! Will be filing a report with the BBB as well! read more

Called for an appointment to renew my passport, and was able to walk in and take care of everything for me. They told me it could take 2 months but I was surprised my new passport came in the mail within 2 1/2 weeks. I would highly recommend paying the extra fee to have the service I received. And did not have to wait weeks for my appointment with the post office or passport office. read more

I came here for fingerprints and passport renewal. George was wonderful. I was nervous about the whole process of getting my passport renewal completed, and he helped me step-by-step. Making the process painless, easy, and efficient. He made copies, packaged everything in order for it to be processed correctly - full service. There was a "Karen" in front of me yelling at him, for something that happened online on the government level (not his fault - at all), and he was patient and calm - helping her throughout the process. I was very impressed. When I was next, he didn't show any frustration regarding the "Karen", he just continued his professional ways. It is unfortunate, because afterwards he requested payment and said I would not have to pay if I showed him a 5 star review on yelp. I did this and upon leaving I am now updating my review. This unscrupulous business practice clearly an attempt at coerced 5 star reviews on yelp should not be tolerated. This place is a disgusting rip off. I went in months ago to mail back my iPhone. I was way over charged. It should've been under $10 but the owner said he couldn't send the phone out USPS only fed ex was available that day. Really? This is a mail center correct? I paid the $30 & went on with my life. I went back in today to mail off a small package for Christmas since its next door to my gym. The owner didn't ring me up in the cash register, didnt give me a receipt just over charged me & told me to write on a generic mail sticker the to & from destination. Poor Business establishment! The post Office was closed so I stopped in Plaza Mail Center to drop off four items. My bad... I wasn't given a receipt. The two letters that he put stamps on made it to there destination. The other two items, a small box and a 8x11 envelope he did not put postage on saying the post office would and they were placed in a mail bin saying that the Post Office would pick up that day at 5pm, so far they haven't made it to their destination. This has caused me a lot of stress and may cost me penalties. I will not return to this merchant and that should not be allowed to accept mail of any kind!!!!! read more
