We often wander to new Mexican places. Most of them offer the more traditional Tex Mex style of food. 1. The food we ordered was appetizers and two meals 2. The meals (enchiladas and a salad) were pronounced fantastic! The two appetizers were also very good. The servings were pretty large (so we had lunch for Monday!). Overall the food was great. I really loved eating here for the last 2 years since I moved to town, but after a terrible experience, I can't imagine going back. If you have allergies to any foods, I strongly suggest going elsewhere. I communicated my severe, deadly allergy to mammals very clearly to the bartender...provided a bi-lingual business card that also explained my severe allergy to the kitchen staff. This was not in a busy time, there was no one else at the bar. I ordered a cheese relleno, again expressing my serious allergy; that cross-contamination could kill me. I was assured they could handle the simple request of making one cheese relleno. WHAT ARRIVED WAS A BEEF STUFFED RELLENO. The most dangerous thing they could have possibly served me. I took one bite before immediately having to spit my food out on the bar and run to the bathroom to force vomiting in case I had swallowed grease. Was here Saturday. Weather was nice, so a friend of mine invited me to go Chesapeake Beach. We were referred to Plaza Mexico for their margaritas. I ordered the Mezcal Margarita. It had a very distinct rim. It added to the e smoky flavor. Was very good. The service was excellent. The staff was very attentive. I am not a fan of Mexican food like that, but their guacamole was superb. Very spicy just the way I like it. It is a family restaurant with a bar. Perfect for watching a game or just having a family night: it's a good date spot also. I will definitely be back. read more

I ordered a quesadilla texano which has chicken , steak, shrimp etc. I normally go to another Mexican restaurant that's a little farther in Lusby . Their fresh, homemade nachos are paired with their in-house salsa and are provided to patrons as the bartenders mix up the best fresh cocktails and offer an array of Mexican beers (I mean, they have domestics, too - but, while in Rome... why not try a Sol or a Dos Equis)? The Neptune Burrito is the best (everything is great but, this is my absolute beyond favorite). It is stuffed with crab meat, shrimp and scallops with fresh mixed veggies and coated in a light but creamy sauce. They often have live music and the prices are the BEST I have seen for similar food in other spots. (I say similar bc it does not measure up to Plaza... it's just supposedly the same.. but, does not meet the level of their food). The vibe is authentic Mexican mixed with coastal Maryland. It is definitely worth a try and is in a very easy location/part of town to get to. Parking is plentiful (some is pay, just be sure to check signs around you).. but, even the pay parking is reasonably priced. Restaurant was really cold. Servers were wearing winter coats inside. I asked our server if he was cold and he said he has a customer outside. That's why he's wearing it. There was no Customer outside. Spoke to management about the fact that the salsa was the most flavorful thing that we ordered and not in a good way if I wanted sautéed onions, I would've made them at home. I don't need my pole plate just to be sautéed onions,. They charge us for extra sour cream. Chips and more tortillas. We spent a total of close to $50 on sautéed onions. We were just walking by the area to the beach when we stumbled in this place. We decided to check it out for drinks. We had great margaritas, house chips and salsa, guck mole and the pick 3. Everything was amazing and the service was great. They have very strict Covid rules in place with a tent setup outside for dining with a fire place which gave it a cozy feeling. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Next time I'm Chesapeake beach definitely stopping by here for some Mexican fix!! read more

My boyfriend took me here for a quick date night. I enjoyed all the food that I did get. Me being picky I did have to deconstruct my quesadilla a little but it was full of meat and tasted good.
