This is a yes. Went on groupon for a keratin the staff was efficient and helpful. the salon its self is large and clean. The women who did my hair was so friendly and experienced she got me in and out in a timely and effective manner. As of now the keratin has been a success and i will return for sure. read more

I went to the Plaza Salon yesterday for the first time aftet not going to the salon for at least 15yrs. Needless to say I was a little nervous. The people at the salon were very welcoming and inviting. I was introduced to Nanie who was very friendly and encouraging. She maade me feel very at ease and the scarryness went away. Awesome experience here this past week. I called last minute around 5:30 BC I really needed a trim. I have really long hair and was looking for some movement and still wanted to keep the layers. Unfortunately, every time I get it cut, they cut it too short! Now you need a lot of patience for my hair because it is very long and thick. My stylist was Nanie and she took her time and perfected every inch of my hair. I could not be happier! They took my in as a walkin, receptionists were also extremely friendly (not bitchy like a lot of these higher end places in the area) and stylist was great. Where do I begin. You walk into this salon, and the smiles and kindness you see and feel, wrap around you and make you feel right at home. I have been going to the Plaza Salon for a few years now and I refuse to go anywhere else. I must say I am very very picky and I don't let anyone dye my hair other than Josh. He is simply amazing and his craft cannot be replicated. It doesn't just end with hair...Binu is an eyebrow goddess we all dream of and look for. I cannot tell you how many people ask me where I get my hair and eyebrows done and every person I send to them, leaves so happy and thanks me. I have recently moved out of state and I make it a habit to re-visit my hometown more frequently just to get my hair and eyebrows done here. Truly the best! read more

You always take a chance when going with a new stylist and I was a little apprehensive about the change. I am a 60 ish women who has been dealing with thinning hair. My daughter got her hair cut at Plaza and it looked great. I stopped in and spoke with Ellen who took the time to listen to me and my concerns. I booked an appt. for the next week and arrived on time and was taken right away. That in itself is a good omen. Ellen remembered our conversation and assured me it would be fine. She did a color and cut. And wow!! My hair turned out great. Let me say this my hair issues are not simple. It was dry and lifeless going in and smooth and vibrant going out. Do NOT recommend this place! Hair stylist took over 3.5 hrs to do a haircut and partial highlights. She ended up taking another client for a haircut in the middle of my appt so I had to wait. The assistant Maria who washed my hair told me I was "too picky" when I asked her to change her glovessince she was sweeping the floor and taking out the garbage before with the same gloves. When the bill came they raised the price of the highlights saying I was misinformed when I made the appt. Save your time and money! read more

Whether it was one time or 100 times remember this... without customers you don't get to be an owner of any kind. Good for you if you truly believe you run a professional, upper class salon. You do not Tony. Your response is funny because that's not true. You are very funny. The fact that you had to hurry to respond to my review just means you know i am right and you don't like the facts about how low class your salon is. Your best people that worked there left you, because of you. Everything you responded to in this review is very incorrect and inaccurate however, I will not waste my time arguing with someone who wants to fight over the truth because you can't handle that there are many issues going on in that salon. **ALSO, I also understand you give free services for people that write you a good review which is disgraceful. When you deceive yourself to acknowledge your fault your worthless to the people you expect trust you in choosing your salon. I will not waste another breath on you or salon it is a joke. Location is great, my wife get's her hair done by Carla, every Sat, she leaves the shop looking great, Carla takes pride in her work, that means the world to us as it should all potential clients, I get my hair done by Jeff, I highly recommend him, he is excellent on men's hair, plus a real good guy, the shop is run like a fine tuned machine, entire staff is wonderful, oh did I mention the great selection of products that they sell at amazing prices, my hat's off to the Plaza salon, you guys run a great shop, keep up the good work, and you will have more customers like us coming every Sat. read more

This is for blowout service only. First the good. The place looks clean and nice and I was able to walk in with no wait. My stylist was friendly and nice and I didn't feel rushed. However the blow out just wasn't up to my usual standard. This was my third blowout in 2 weeks. I mostly get my hair done in NYC but I was on the way to upstate NY so decided to stop by this salon. Their price was better than in the city ($30 vs $37 of what I usually pay). However, starting from the wash, they only did one very brief wash - I couldn't believe it was only in what feels like two minutes. They did ONE very quick wash only. Usually my wash takes a good 8-12 minutes and involves 1-2 shampoo + conditioner and that way my blowout can last for three days. At Plaza, however, my hair felt unclean right after the wash. The blow out also wasn't what I wanted. I told the stylist that I wanted straight with a little bit of curls. The stylist didn't ask questions and turned my back towards the mirror so I couldn't see the process. When she announced it was done, I was surprised to see that it was a lot more curly than I had expect and somehow it feels very 80s. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this place for blowout. Cannot say for other services. read more

I have been frequenting Plaza Salon since they were at GSP and have continued to get haircuts and layers at the Rte. 4 location. I will ONLY schedule with Marisol because her skills are amazing. She always makes me feel comfortable and provides nice conversation without being overbearing like some chatty stylists I've had in the past. I love arriving a few minutes early to check out their merchandise because they have a huge selection and the prices are competitive. The ladies that schedule appointments are professionals that follow up when they say they will and are always pleasant upon arrival. The staff on the floor are friendly and coffee/water is always on hand for the customers, as well as a generous waiting area with nice restrooms. I strongly recommend this salon and am certain you'll enjoy your visit as well as hair cut/style. read more
