Commissary and PX are close by as us laundry. DAV not allowed in the MWR, which was unfortunate, but this appears to be based specific as other bases allow DAV to use the workout facility. Front staff is very friendly. Yes, breakfasts are no big deal, but offer a convenience. Great value!

Accommodations were only about 5 minutes from downtown restaurants and museums, We took the scenic bypass and stopped at all the attractions along the way around the Island. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting some of the other Islands in the area.

The opposite of the greige AirSpace style that proliferates, this was colorful, textured coziness. Apart from aesthetics, it was just a great spot to spend an important birthday. While I always bring coffee making kit with me, I hadn't remembered tea. Turned out the kitchen was well-stocked with all the tea. Our host very kindly offered to pick up things for us when it snowed, but it's only about a mile walk into town, so we found it pretty easy to pick up provisions at the excellent Co-Op and Bakery San Juan. There are so many great hikes on the island, but having a day to watch the snow fall, read, and drink tea, was just what I needed--along with watching the bald eagles nesting. What a special place!

Location cannot be beat. It is literally steps from the harbor, and you can step right off of your boat, the ferry or the seaplane. Check-in and quick and easy. I stayed in Sweet 1 which is the 1st room up the stairs. So convenient to going everywhere. Room is super spacious and everything was comfortable. Nice touch with the welcome fruit bowl. Bath was also spacious and toiletries were well-stocked and great quality (all Malin+Goetz!). Super close to restaurants, bars, and the town, where parking is difficult (so being able to walk was a big perk!). Only negatives (and they were very minor) were the missing water and coffeemaker in the room, and the difficulty in understanding the instructions for the shower head.

She even baked chocolate chip cookies daily, there was also coffee, tea, & hot coco available at any time for us to have from the kitchen. We really enjoyed feeding the Alpacas and Pygmy Goats. The animals were so adorable and friendly. My only con was our initial impression of the room as it did not have a TV. But as our stay went on, we thoroughly enjoyed not having a TV in the room, it allowed us to disconnect more and take in the beauty of the island and surroundings. They do have a family/tv room, but we never felt the need to turn it on. They emailed to cancel our reservation. If the 3-night minimum had been a condition listed in the booking, we would understand. But it wasn't. When we told them it's not written anywhere and they had already accepted our booking, they changed their strategy and said they now (suddenly) can't rent the room we want due to CoVid. (Even though it's still posted as available). They blame the county health dept. we were unable to find any information about this restriction and still can't find a place (other than their email after we booked) that lists a three night minimum. Although they were cordial about it, I can't recommend doing business with them, since they change their policies at random. Hard to plan a trip when it seems like they will cancel your reservation to chase a bigger check.

Laura owns and runs the B&B and she is so kind and an amazing cook! She cooked us two of the best, most delicious breakfasts I have ever eaten. Her berry stuffed pancakes with her grandmother's special cream syrup is absolutely delicious!! My husband and I highly recommend a couple of nights on the boat. It's an adventure and out if the ordinary. Laura is a great hostess and you will have a memory that will last a lifetime.

We complained that the bed was super hard and felt like sleeping on the floor so they offered a refund which was nice for the rest of the time but we could not afford to change so we stayed and dealt with it which I would have left a four star review for the customer service but after finding out they blocked us, it is the true one star review because of multiple factors. They are not insulated well so you can hear everything your neighbor does so we didn't sleep well because of the bed plus noise. The place had no silverware at all yet it had a knife and cutting board with wine opener? It was also dirty, we had to clean the sink which had brown crud all over the bottom which wiped away easily showing the cleaning service does the absolutely bare minimum and likely doesn't really scrub anything, the tea kettle had white crust all on the inside and same with the coffee maker so I had to clean both myself as well. The heater was great but the chairs for the table were super unstable and cannot support an adult. The view was great despite being blocked by power lines. Parking was perfect. We would not stay here again given the owners poor ability to accept anything but a five star review and the uncomfortable bed.

Honestly the most disrespectful person I have ever talked to in customer service and I will steer everyone I know and everyone who asks away from this hotel. The host was accommodating for our late arrival, which was nice. The neat part was the balcony overlooking the street during the day and evening. The downside is we visited during a hot spell. There is no A/C; major bummer. There was one portable fan but insufficient for all three sleeping areas. Late night and/or early morning there are some loud trucks (trash?) that pass through; they will briefly wake you. The coffee pot pours water through before it's heated. If you have multiple guests, a mirror would be nice outside the bathroom. Why four stars? I would stay here again, and be prepared for the inconveniences. I love the location. There are restaurants, literally next-door, and across the street and all the great shops are within walking distance.
