I just had a fast oil change 2 days ago and ironically, today my car wouldn't start. Ahmed immediately came to my house, diagnosed the battery was dead and gave me a jump. Went in for an oil change, it was fast and went smoothly. They recommended some other things that will be needing my attention in the near future, but didn't force me to get anything immediate. They even had windshield wipers, so it saved me a trip to the auto parts store. Price was what it normally is in other locations, but customer service was outstanding! Highly recommend! read more

Called the day before to have them fix the motor in my window and two wheel bearings. Anywhere else you go they will tell you at least 2 days I dropped my car off at 10:00 AM and had it back by 4:30 PM. On top of that lowest cost of any place you will find! These guys are the masters of the up sale. They will try to sell you everything you don't need pretty aggressively. Funny how a filter results in a $10 up charge because it's a 'special' filter. Then there is always another upcharge for more oil. Then try try to sell you every type of air filter, even though you don't need one. And then lie to you about how it must be done or certain cataclysmic events will occur. And when you refuse the up charges, they get nasty. I send my 17 year old there for an oil change because she was taking a road trip and badly needed fresh oil. I specifically told her, refuse all upcharges. He then tried to pressure her by refusing to do the oil change unless she agreed. She got me on the phone and the guy was plain lying to me. Avoid this place. Crooks. Update: I badly needed an oil change and had very few options, so decided to try them. I braced myself for a series of up-sales: when they started opening the air cleaner housing, I was prepared to tell them my air cleaner was only 4 months old when they tried the up-sale. To my surprise, they looked at it, then closed the housing. No up-sale effort. Then I braced myself for the hard oil upgrade up-sale (which I was going to use the better oil anyway). To my surprise, there was no effort to get me to spend more money on better oil. So I told him to go full synthetic. He seemed fine either way. Then he asked me how my wipers were. Ah ha! I thought now comes the hard up-sale. I tell him wipers are ok. He says ok, and moves on. Now, I was thinking of getting an engine oil flush. I ask how much that was. He shrugs his shoulders and says, '$20, but you don't need it.' I'm flabbergasted! Zero up-sale effort. Now, I had a bad experience here last year when my daughter went here by herself. Maybe I was overprotective, but I'm glad I tried them myself. But for my prior experience here, I would have given them 5 stars. I will try them again, and if I have the same experience again, I will upgrade to 5 stars. See, it's worth giving someone a second chance. read more

I had been having trouble with my rear tires loosing air. A different business , allegedly fix the tires, removing a nail from each rear tire. Two days later low tires. Took my car to Belle tire . 5 stars!! I needed a quick oil change for my toyota. I came in, they didn't try to pressure me into buying fancy oil or getting unnecessary things. The staff was really friendly, and even put some free anti corrosive spray on my battery because I mentioned being worried about it. The whole process took about 12 minutes- it was perfect! They even check your tire pressure and fluids. Really liked this place. I'm new to the area, and this is the 3rd shop I went to to get my oil changed- the first two sucked. They wanted to overcharge me and scam me. So I didn't get it done there. Very happy I looked around. Sami took care of my car and did a great job! He'll be my go to from now on! I took my brand new Subaru Forester for its second oil change to Pleasant Ridge Oil Change. As I sat in my car and waited I noticed the mechanic banging on my car from underneath where the oil pan is located. After an exceptionally long time, the manager came to me to say the oil could not be removed through the oil port. Instead it had to be suctioned out. I was told the last place I had it changed had stripped the oil plug making it impossible to remove. Naively, I believed the manager, even though the previous oil change was done by an authorized Subarau dealer! When the oil needed changing the next time, I went to the dealer. The Subaru service manager informed me I had been scammed since this would never have been done by their trained technicians. After spending over $300 to have the oil pan replaced, I went back to Pleasant Ridge Oil Change to what the service mgr had said. Of course, they denied everything. But they were uncommonly knowledgeable of my situation and asked questions that indicated their obvious dishonesty. At that point I could not prove the damage they had done. The sad thing is that both the manager and the teenage mechanic lied openly. The manager set a very poor example for the teenager. read more

I've been coming here for years but never "audited" the services. I was sad to see that after paying attention, I was scammed. I was shown the price of the oil change at $59.99 and after asking for no additional services, walked away with a $78 bill including upgraded filter charges which I didn't agree to. The bill showed 3 separate line items for the same oil charge at different prices that did not add up to the $59.99 Full Synthetic I was quoted ($29.99, $27.99, $8.95). It also showed they did a 10 point inspection but I didn't see them look at any of the items they signed off on (windshield wipers, tire pressure, etc...) In fact, my GMC was telling me my tires were low and they signed off that the pressure was good. When I pulled away I checked my GMC app and it still showed the pressure was low. When I get home from work I'm going to check the oil gauge to see if it is even full, as now I don't even trust that they added all the oil I overpaid for. I hate that I feel cheated. How many other times did they do that when I wasn't looking? Not coming back! read more

Not good. Mike was a pain. He tried to tell me I had to put synthetic in my car. He also tried to tell me I put the "wrong" oil in my car. Never mind that he didn't ask why I had chosen to use the grade of oil that was in my engine. Now that I've found this place, I feel like I never have to worry about that again. The people here are so professional, they offer additional services but never press you for them, and have you out in no time. You don't even get out of your car, which is awesome. I just came from this place which is now by the way a Valvoline station, it used to be a Pennzoil station. The sign outside said oil change for $19.99. When I asked the gentleman who was about my age and kept repeatedly addressing me as "young lady" (which made me extremely annoyed, especially around the 10th time he said it) why the price of my oil change is $29.99, he made up some garbage about how they used valvoline oil and that price was for the lower grade oil and that they hadnt changed there sign yet..hello I was at a VALVOLINE station! He then said he should have asked me more questions and he was sorry. Glad he was so sorry but he still overcharged me for my oil change, not even offering the ADVERTISED price. To "make ammends" he offered me a free wiper blade that I didnt need. Thanks for the blade, but I wont be back...Young man! read more
