Based on my experience with the new ownership, after more than Thirty years of using this gas station, I'll never go there again.

It's honestly sad to have to write this. I've been frequenting this establishment since I got my driver's license at 19--about 26 or 27 years now. I've lived in Pleasanton since 1992, so I've been coming here since I was 14 years old. Today, I had a situation where I pumped about $51 into my truck. I had $50 on one card and just a small amount on my debit, leaving me short by literally one dollar. I gave the lady all the spare change I had in my pocket, but I was still just a bit short. When I asked if she could spot me the difference, she reacted with a loud "OMG" like it was the end of the world. Heaven forbid you help out a long-standing, local customer over a dollar. Most of the staff here have been grumpy and unprofessional over the years, with the exception of the brother-in-law. I wasn't even planning on Yelping them, but that lady was just downright rude. I've heard plenty of other long-time Pleasanton residents say the same thing about her lack of professionalism, and today I experienced it firsthand. This small gas station on Main Street is a Pleasanton landmark. It consistently has the lowest price for gas in town. There are only four pumps, so you may have to wait for a few cars to finish. You pump first then go in to pay. read more

My grandfather and father owned a gasoline station for years and even years later, I'm always on the lookout for what's left this unique architecture. I did a double take today when I walked past this Crown Station today and later stopped in for gas and a chat. According to the guy there (and the old pictures posted), the station is 1930s vintage and with sort of a mission revival style feel. The lot is about as big as the station and the pumps can be accessed both from the outside and underneath the overhang. The back area was probably some sort of service bay in it's time, but now only makes room for a cramped convenience store space. The building is in great shape and in terms of a classic service station, it really doesn't get any better than this. The prices are among the lowest in town too. read more

Quaintest, cleanest and (consistently) cheapest station for CA94566. Brand new pumps , none of this tiring air return that tends to happen when pumps are badly calibrated. So centrally locates it kills. And if you are desperate to stuff your face with junk food they have that too. Pre pay before you use the pump- of course! read more

Why do a review on a gas station? Because this one deserves it! This gas station is a fixture, a historical landmark that helps define the uniqueness that is downtown Pleasanton; whereas in any other city, this would have been torn down 50 years ago. This one has survived, and is still the best value in town (a few cents off every other station in town). Tiny gas station right off of main street downtown. It looks like its right out of the 1920's or 30's too bad the gas prices aren't the same as they were back then. Seriously its a small mission stiyle shack by the side of the road, you can almost picture a classic car filling up at this little spot before heading on down the road. I have purchased gas here a couple of times and although it can be difficult to manuver the cramped lot the staff are cheerful and the gas reasonable and my expereinces have always been positive ones. read more

I used to love this gas station, its close to my job and ive been going for years but after today, i felt the need to write a review. when i walked up to the lady behind the counter to pay for gas, she ignored me for atleast 2 full minutes while she surfed the internet. even after i said hello. I didn't think too much of it, and I prepaid for gas. when I went to pump the gas, everything was fine until I looked up and saw the gas rose past the price I prepaid for. Being a decent person, I went up to the counter with my card in hand and told her what happened and said I would like to pay for the gas that was accidentally put into my car. She grimaced like it was a horrible waste of her time to help me, and then proceeded to charge me an additional amount since the amount I was buying was under their minimum purchase for debit/credit cards on the second purchase. I will rather push my car down the street to the next gas station than to come here again. read more

Love this gas station. The location is fabulous given my route to and from my daughter's school. Their gas prices are also lower than anywhere else in town. And I love that he allows his window space to be used by other local companies who post flyers and business cards. read more

Looks a bit old-fashioned but I don't care. Usually this gas station has the lowest prices in Pleasanton and it's on Main Street.

Cheaper than the other gas stations in Pleasanton! It's a shame that too many people pumped gas and didn't pay during the fairgrounds, because now you have to pay before pumping. It's not a bad thing but it doesn't have as much of a "small town gas station" feeling like it used to. read more

It doesn't just look like its from the 1930's. It IS. The gas station was originally a gas and service station, built in 1931 in the mission revival style. The arches on the building are the original entrances to the service garage. Great that it has survived downtown as long as it has. read more

Small and old gas station. You pump first and then pay. Prices are one of the lowest in town and their diesel prices are the lowest for sure. The shop is small but what do you expect. There is also water and air I'm the back of the shop. read more

This station usually has the cheapest price for gas & diesel in Pleasanton and sometimes in the Valley except for the discount places like Costco & Safeway, besides I like to support my local business's. I don't count AM/PM's because their gas is loaded with methanol which is cheaper than gas to make & sell and makes your car get lousy fuel mileage. read more

Very quaint looking. Just the right thing for Pleasanton downtown. Till you walk up to the counter and it gets that shady feeling - like a pawn shop in those gangster movies. The surly Chinese gentleman completes the ensemble. You cannot avoid that experience. That is the only way to pay for gas - it's not just appearance, the place is really low tech. I had a bad experience there. That Chinese man,owner??? Is very rude and scared me. I HE has a bad temper. He tried to rip me off & denied it,I had to get the police,they made him give my money back,but he lied ,but I had proof from my credit card company. I 'll never go back.
