TREAT ALL PEOPLE WITH RESPECT! My family and I were loyal patients for nearly four years, spending thousands of dollars on dental care and referring friends and family. We loved the Fremont office. Unfortunately, after transferring to the Dublin location, everything changed. I experienced billing issues, poor customer service from Kayla, and after losing my job and falling behind on payments, I was sent a letter dismissing me as a patient with only 30 days to find a new dentist. As a long-term patient, I expected compassion and a conversation--not to be discarded. The way I was treated felt cold, dismissive, and completely inconsistent with the care we received at the Fremont office. I have been a patient of Dr Lokhandwala for over 20 years. The reason? ABJECT FEAR OF DENTISTRY!! Doesn't make sense, right? I've had several cleanings- some needed numbing. Here comes the needle! Did I feel it? Nope! They pre numbed the area. I moved on to an implant and that's where the sedation came in handy. And it worked like a charm! Now, with the newest technology I was able 2 weeks ago to come in to get a 30+ year old crown removed and replaced in one setting!! Was sedation involved? You bet!! A couple Tylenol when I got home and I was fine! BTW, I told 2 friends about StarBrite and they absolutely agree with me! We're still friends so that says a lot. Do I still have dental fear, yes. Do I trust StarBrite to take good care of me? Absolutely. BTW, I started in Fremont since I worked in the area. After I retired I began at Dublin. Both offices have the BEST office staff!! Cayla explained my process and said the crown could be done in one visit. Things have changed. One thing hasn't, the care I've received from StarBrite. I'm very skeptical of glowing reviews. Lied to before I even went to this place!! I made an appointment through ZocDoc. I got a call from the office needing more information. I spoke with a lady named Cayla. I gave her as much insurance information as I could. ( it had been a while and I told her so ) She said I didn't have an appointment, that they didn't even have anything this Friday. Hmm. That's ok. I'm open. She would look into my insurance. So, I did get some of the insurance information on my own. I called back less than an hour later, Cayla answered, I said I spoke with you. She denied it. I asked who else is in the office. She didn't know what to say. So, I thought maybe it was me. But no. I get an interesting text from an unknown number later today. It's Cayla! She says my insurance is not active. She called both. Funny. One is a federal plan. They just changed names. She says sorry. I say, That's ok. I found the information and I will be going somewhere else. She then said "ok" or something equally lame. I just laughed. That's just wrong or a bad employee!! read more

I needed to get three dental implants, so I went to four different dentists to find a low-cost treatment with a qualified dentist. After all, you are placing a titanium rod into your jaw bone, so you don't want to "screw" up. I googled dental implant and was fortunate to find Starbrite Dental. At first, I was skeptical, it was cheap for an implant, what's the catch. It's the lowest cost in the area, so I did my due diligence. Cayla, the office manager/dental assistant, was very accommodating in the process. I strolled in hours before the Christmas break. She took x-rays while the office was closed and answered all my stupid questions. Talk about going above and beyond. Dr. Munira was terrific and very knowledgable. I didn't even feel the novocaine shot because of her technique. Overall, the process is relatively painless. I have had more pain during regular cleanings. Starbrite Dental is by far the best dental practice I've been to. Our family has been coming to Starbrite Dental for 6+ years and we have always had a good experience. They are professional. From the dentists, assistants, hygienists to the front desk staffs, they help you stay on top of your dental health. They do a comprehensive checkup and spot potential problems on every cleaning. They are pleasant. My kids love coming to Starbrite Dental because they make the kids feel comfortable before cleaning or other dental procedures. They explain your dental procedures clearly, along with cost estimate. They let you know if the procedure is urgent or non-urgent, so you can plan accordingly. It's so refreshing to be given good information and not feel pressured. I usually see Dr. Munira Lokhandwala for my appointments. She is experienced and knowledgeable. We moved from Fremont and needed a new pediatric dentist. Although this place is a family practice, it has the small, intimate feeling that I like and the facilities look clean and new, so I decided to give it a try. I'm happy to report that everyone was friendly and helpful, and the appointment for the two little ones went smoothly. The cash price for a new pediatric patient came in under $120 with Yelp discount, which is lower than our old clinic by quite a bit. I will definitely be back for my kids dental work. read more

Honestly, I am scared to go to the dentist, but I had a major problem in my mouth. A friend told me about StarBrite Dental, and I've been a patient ever since. I have been to both the Fremont and Dublin offices. They are very professional, and know what they are doing. They even worked with my insurance limits. Since my first appointment, I have had a tooth pulled, 2 implants, and various other dental procedures. I even had to go during the Covid lock-down, because my mouth was in pain. Overall she is very good and uses excellent materials for fillings, but found some times she has to go back to fix things and is at times too quick to diagnose cavities and I refrained from always taking her cavity recommendations and left with her diagnosing at least 3 cavities. For children we switched to a children's specialist, And I left for a second opinion, and she "did not feel comfortable" with me returning. It's kind of awkward for my family since my husband still goes there. I just did not mesh with Dr. Munira's hyper vigilant approach. But she was always a sweet lady and it worked out for the best. Now I am very happy with my current Pleasanton dentist Solage Dental who is more conservative on diagnosing cavities and has not found any cavities that need drilling since I left Star Brite Dental three years ago. read more

I just completed under Dr. Munira Lokhandwala's care an implant. When I learned that I needed an implant I did my homework. I found her practice was the best for many reasons; she has two offices, one in Fremont and another in Dublin, her office hours are flexible, her staff is very knowledgeable and professional, her office was very clean and state of the art equipment. I also found Dr. Lokhandwala's was able to accommodate the implant from start to finish. I did not have to go to one dentist for the implant and another dentist to have the crown prepared. (Having to go to two dentists is common practice for many dentists.) All the work was performed in her office (from start to finish). What was also important to me were the fees, I found her office was more than fair. I recommend if you need an implant to talk with Dr. Lokhandwala's office before you commit to having your implant done. You will not be sorry! On a side note, I honestly was impressed with her shots. For the first time in my life I actually can say I don't dread going to the dentist. Dr.Munira and her staff Cayla and Vanessa deliver exceptional service! I travel from Danville to see Dr.Munira in Dublin and would go even further just for the comfort and quality I am provided during my visits. I received a filling and two crowns with both sides of my mouth numbed. I have a fear of needles and Dr.Munira has some technique that I have never seen any dentist use where I did not feel ANY needle going into my mouth. It was magical and literally jaw-dropping skills. She has impeccable knowledge of the most up to date techniques in dentistry, and incredible skill when it comes to doing whatever is needed perfectly, and efficiently, explaining everything in a way that it easy to understand . Her staff is professional and well trained, and I know I am getting the best dental care available at prices considerably less than other dentists charge, when insurance comes up short, which it often does. Just had our Special Needs daughter's appointment cancelled by Star Bright staff, just over 24 hours before arranged time. I had made the appointment because of vicinity, reviews and the fact that they offered oral sedation for patients. Our daughter is 22 years old and can easily follow directions for exam and ex rays' etc.; just has difficulty with the procedures themselves. Before she even had her consultation, they CANCELLED BECAUSE SHE IS AUTISTIC ( yes, they did say that! Quote"she is Autistic, correct?" and simply said "they would not be able to help her". SHAME ON YOU Star Bright, for being so incredibly narrow minded, for not seeing Christy as an individual, and at least having a consultation with her before deciding " you wouldn't be able to help her".
