What an amazing coffee shop! This place is so cute from the indoor murals, to the merch, to even the flowers outside. There is lot of seating available at this spot, which also makes it a great spot to meet friends! The staff is welcoming and very nice. There is a menu that also has some great seasonal choices, if a standard beverage isn't on your days journey. The drip coffee is delicious and there are many options of beans you can choose from if you'd like to bring a taste of the cafe home. Drip coffee comes out quick, lattes and food take a minute, but it's worth the wait. Come for the drinks, stay for the ambiance.

The Gibraltar coffee was so creamy and delicious! There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors and I love the garage door that opens up to let in the cool ocean air. The breakfast burrito was so delicious especially because of how crispy the potato pieces inside it were. The salsa is only mildly spicy, coming from someone with a low spice tolerance. Super busy place but line moves quickly and the staff are friendly!

Yum!!! The coffee here is great and the French toast is SO good!! Must try. The pastries looked delicious and the poached eggs were very impressive. The staff were friendly and the shop was clean and cute! Plenty of seating.

Cute little cafe. I wouldn't say it is my new go-to or anything, but I was excited to try it and enjoyed my meal there. Our meal took about 15-20 minutes to get to us, and there was a good amount of seating both inside and outside. It can get a little busy though depending on when you come in and can be hard to find seating. I got the overnight oats which was a decent portion but wasn't very flavorful or sweet. I liked the granola and the fresh fruit on top, but overall the oats themselves weren't as sweet as I would have hoped. But the breakfast burrito was good, and the staff were very friendly. This is clearly a popular cafe as there was a line out the door when we arrive on a Wednesday morning. I do like their commitment to quality coffee beans, but I did not opt to try one of their drinks this visit. Overall a cute place for a little trip, not sure if I am personally going to add this place to my daily rotation but it's was a fun place to try something new. The food quality is great, staff are friendly, and the vibe of the cafe is definitely giving local hangout.

Incredible coffee shop not too far from the beach. Spent a weekend in Santa Cruz and stopped at multiple locations. Made sure to come to this one to try their green goddess eggs from a recommendation. One of the best breakfast dishes I've ever had. Outdoor seating was really cute and the services very quick

When you have the best coffee and breakfast burrito in town it's like a double rainbow! So beautiful! It makes a small tear come to one's eye. Thank you for being awesome. This is definitely the busiest location of the 4 locations they have in Santa Cruz but it makes sense since this is the only location that serves THE breakfast burrito of all breakfast burritos! I noticed that they changed their potatoes to little potato cubes. I do not know why they made the change but the burrito was made so fast compared to in the past when you would have to wait a little bit if you ordered the breakfast burrito. I also noticed they made the burrito bigger which is nice since they have raised the price of the burrito over the years. Request for improvement: Put umbrellas outside at the tables. For us pale people who are allergic to the sun it's nice to get the outdoor air without having to put on sunscreen.

Breakfast burrito with some well done bacon

We got the breakfast burrito and sandwich and were disappointed that the bacon was very burnt on both, pretty much flavorless and either disintegrating or super hard. We aren't sure if that's what they are going for or an accident, maybe caught them on a bad day, but not something I've experienced at a restaurant before. Left a bad burnt after taste for both of us, couldn't finish our food, very disappointed for the price. The ambiance is good.

Good service and vibes. Breakfast burrito is 10/10 French toast 9/10 Sweetened cappuccino 10/10 Def recommend My only qualm is that they advertise being "pet friendly" and we had service animals with us, and were told they can only be outside.

My most recent burrito DROWNED in sauce was FOUL. The nail in the coffin...

Cat & Cloud has always been my favorite breakfast burrito and coffee shop, I've been coming since it was $8 and a 10 min wait... Now it is hit or miss quality, $17+ and 30 min+ wait give or take. Not worth anymore, sold out to the mainstream, the old Cat & Cloud is missed:( Edit: Also for a 16oz drip literally $6, someone make that make sense when a pound of beans is the equivalent price to 3 coffees, so out of touch...

Look I'm literally in San Jose but I will jump the mountain and get on Highway 17 and drive that twisty road just to have a nice cup of coffee and breakfast here since it's so close to the ocean it's a no-brainer for me. It was a hot day and on this trip I got an iced chai which was divine. I've had creamy beige before and that is also an amazing drink. There's never been a drink here that I didn't love, so basically I love everything here. I got the granola Bowl because I came around 11:30 a.m. and I was still feeling hungry and snacky and it was the perfect snack brunch item for me at that time. Service is truly amazing here everyone here really cares about your experience and it's such a good vibe as well the Ambiance is totally giving cozy Cafe next to the ocean because that's literally what it really is. Give them a try, you'll love it! Support local coffee spots!

I've been here so many times that I can't believe I haven't written a review yet haha. The breakfast burrito is fantastic -- fried potatoes, eggs, bacon, and crispy to perfection. I drive here from San Jose for this. The coffee is solid too. I've tried the vanilla latte, mocha, and dirty chai and no complaints from me. Some nice indoor and outdoors seating. The murals on the inside are really pretty too. They're generally pretty fast with the orders, food takes a bit longer. It gets hella busy, esp on weekends, so finding a table is all chance!

LOVE LOVE LOVED our visit to Cat & Cloud this morning. Extremely welcoming and friendly when they greet and serve you. Plenty of seating (but it does get busy on the weekends) inside and outside. It really is such a cute little coffee shop/small cafe. Food-- we tried the green goodness. Appropriately named. It is a plate full of delicious, yummy goodness. All the flavors were delicious together, and while very filling, it did not feel heavy at all. Such a delicious, underrated breakfast. My daughter ordered the avocado toast and loved it. Yogurt and granola was also amazing. They make their own seasonal compote and it was topped with spiced nuts. I would definitely get it again. If you're a matcha lover, the strawberry matcha is a MUST. It looks like they make their own sweeteners for coffee/tea drinks. I can't wait to go back. Don't sleep on this. It really is that good.

Looking for great coffee in Santa Cruz? This spot is worth checking out. They offer lots of flavor options, the coffee is freshly brewed, and the staff is super friendly. There's great indoor and outdoor seating, plus a few tasty food items on the menu to round out your visit.

Coffee, Ocean Views & a Mini-Retreat for the Soul…read more I've been to A LOT of places for coffee, and I'll just say it: I'm a coffee snob. So when I say the coffee here is awesome, I mean it! What makes this place special isn't just the coffee--it's the entire experience. Operated by the Catholic Church, this peaceful coffee establishment has a beautiful prayer garden where you can stroll, reflect, and maybe even get your thoughts straight before your second cup. My bride and I spent FOUR HOURS here reading, journaling, talking, and enjoying the serenity. And yes, we were still happily married when we left! The view of the Pacific Ocean is spectacular. You can walk across the street, sit on a bench, and simply listen to the waves. There's also a spacious patio, clean restrooms, friendly and polite staff, and an atmosphere that seems to say, "Slow down...you're allowed to breathe." This isn't just a place to grab a cup of coffee. It's a place to grab a cup of coffee, grab your thoughts, grab your bride, and grab a little peace for your soul. As a Yelp Elite reviewer--and someone who takes coffee VERY seriously--this place gets my enthusiastic recommendation. Great coffee. Great people. Great atmosphere. Incredible view. And a prayer garden thrown in for good measure. Sometimes you don't need a vacation. You just need four hours, two cups of coffee, the Pacific Ocean, and someone you love sitting across the table. #YelpElite #CoffeeSnob #CoffeeLovers #PacificOcean #CoffeeAndViews #PrayerGarden #MiniRetreat #DateDay #GreatCoffee #HiddenGem #CoffeeWithAView #SoulRefreshment

I was looking for something heavier than a pastry and found out they had breakfast sandwiches and their own bagels! Score!! To my surprise, they also had specialty drinks so I had to get the Blondie latte with a plant-based milk. I asked the lady if it was sweet and she said it came with a tablespoon of brown sugar. But they could switch it and make it a teaspoon instead. Perfect! As I got my latte it was amazing!! The espresso used in the latte was actually a mild roast coffee so I really liked the flavor of it roast and it was Organic!! Win-win!! Since I'm trying to avoid dairy at the moment, I asked if I could get the lox bagel sandwich without cream cheese and replace it with avocado. The lady at the register asked another barista behind her and she said it was fine! Perfect!! You also get to pick out what type of bagel you want, so I wanted to try something different and got the sun-dried tomato and basil or something like that! The sweet flavors of the herbs in the bagel and then the juiciness of the tomato baked into the bread once simply wonderfully with my breakfast sandwich!! There's a cute little waiting area inside with at least 10 tables or seats along the breakfast bar counter and a couple of tables. There's also a very large outdoor seating area, but I was cold so I wanted to sit inside to warm up my body since I was going to go to yoga on the beach. I had only planned on eating half the bagel sandwich but honestly, it was so good when it came out. I sat there for a good 20 minutes until I ate the whole thing!! Lol so funny!! I was so stuffed I had to walk an extra mile before I could start my yoga on the beach! As I sat enjoying my breakfast sandwich, I got to overhear the two barista's talk about music!! One of the baristas allowed her device to search new genres of music while the other barista specifically looked up different genres of music she liked and then would tell her device to find music of that era. So interesting to hear their discussion!! I honestly loved everything about this quaint little coffee shop, and I will definitely be back again and again!!
