The Roy Rogers is why I love stopping at the small town, locally owned establishment. This is a great place to eat, and the locals are very friendly. Grab a Cold Smoke Scotch Ale on tap for an excellent Montana-local beer on tap. Other good beers on tap are available if you want to stray from there. On my 1st visit, someone recommended the tenderloin steak tips, so I decided to save the famous pizza for the 2nd visit. Good call - the steak tips were solid. Wish I could remember what else I ordered. On 2nd visit (with regular leading the way), we went with the cheeseburger pizza, which sounded kinda weird, yet... gotta try something new, soooo... we did! And it was awesome. So good - never had anything like it before. Got cheese curds on the side, which were also stellar. Dined in both times, enhancing the piping hot and fresh experience vs taking something back to the room. Not sure if dining with a regular got me a 5-star experience or if it's always that awesome, but I've thought about this bar several times since I went... so that merits a solid review. The cafe is also in western wear store and there are vacation rentals on top of the cafe. The building is a completely renovated old hotel. There are two units. A 1BR and a 2BR. They are far better than any hotel room you will find with kitchens and the bigger one has a back porch. On top of all of this, my mother left her credit card at the cafe and LeAnn and Gene went above and beyond what anyone has ever done to track us down and get us the card back. We are deeply appreciative of their kindness and we can never repay them for what they did. They saved the day and prevented us from having to cancel credit cards, etc. This speaks volumes as to the character of the owners and I hope their business is open for a very long time.
