Owners work so hard to keep everything moving and there is limited seating so please be concentrate of people waiting to eat. Today a woman sat at a table for four, finished eating and talked on her phone for 15 minutes while people were waiting for a table. Love that you can order crab ragoons by the each, why doesn't everyone do this?? They don't always answer their phone because they are so busy so order in person; run next store to the WAM to get some groceries (Webster avenue market, pay a little extra to support your neighborhood grocery story); and by the time you are done your food will be ready! read more

This place has no clue how to run a business. I've tried ordering from here several times. They never answered the phone the few different times I've tried to order. Tonight they finally answer the phone and tell me they aren't taking orders over the phone anymore until 6pm. I say "can't I just place my order now and pick it up later?" All sorts of yummy here. Tucked away at the end of a strip mall lies a gem of a restaurant! I had the Pho Delux and it was so tasty. The broth didnt taste oily and was clean. Meats were tender and plentiful! I also had their famous chicken wing. It was a treat! Seating can be a bit limiting but I can't wait to eat here again...maybe for dinner!! Still remains my favorite place to come to. Stopped for dinner on Saturday with my son. We ordered two Hmong egg rolls, two stuffed chicken wings, yellow chicken curry and beef ginger, along with two Thai teas. You order at counter and them sit down. Everything came within five or so. The Thai tea was wonderfully tasty. The egg rolls and stuffed chicken wings come with a sweet and sour sauce. Those were fresh and very tasty. My yellow curry was very thick and flavorful. By adding rice, you can get the perfect level of curry flavor. The beef ginger had a very pronounced ginger flavor, but by adding rice you can temper it to the level of ginger flavor you want. Overall, an excellent meal. Prices were very reasonable and the place is nice and clean. Will be stopping here again! read more

After a morning of car shopping, my in-laws, husband, and I made a stop here. Pho was what our stomachs were asking for. We've had pho at many places in the area but never at Plia's. It's a familiar Hmong name and my in-laws wanted familiar. Parking was easy in and out. The establishment was connected to a strip mall across from a hometown supermarket. We were immediately greeted with a line of 4 people ahead of us and about 10 people sitting in their dining area. I took off a star because the dining was small and a little cramp. We waited about 15 minutes before getting seated and contemplated about going elsewhere. I can see why a lot of people ordered to go. One must order first before being seated. My father in law asked for the fried rice and stuffed chicken wings while the rest of us ordered a bowl of pho each. I asked for a plate of papaya salad as an app. It didn't take long until our orders started trickling in. First the papaya salad, then the pho, the chicken wings, and then the fried rice. The server was the same person as the cashier. She was nice to give us our drinks right away but then didn't attend to us through the meal so our water were half empty. The papaya salad was most delicious and it's probably the best that I've had in a while. The fried rice was scrumptious and not over oily. The chicken wing wasn't seasoned well nor was the pho but I ate it all without complaint. It was so nice to have a homemade meal for a reasonable price. Perfect authentic Hmong food here. Excluding Pho (vietnamese) which they do a pretty good job at as well. Has all fixings which is great! Prices are fair, service is great and clean enough for a busy pho shop. Small and order before you sit and eat. Food is fair for its' prices. Would visit again. read more

An excellent clean little place with authentic Hmong cuisine! So the skinny is I had a reputable source tell me this is one of the best Asian restaurants in Green Bay. They were right! The menu is small but effective- Pho, an assortment of Laotian noodle dishes, curry, Tilapia. They also have EXCELLENT stuffed chicken wings and egg rolls. Seriously these are a must try if you come. We had the Pad See Ew and Pho. The only complaint I have about my dish was the veggies were a tad overcooked, and the noodles a tad too salty. The Pho was nice and fresh and a good size (but not as good aa Pho Number 1 off Oneida for the price.) That's why a 4/5 for me. Additionally, there's not much service for the sit down part of it. Our waitress was a young girl (like man she looked really young) and she just brought us water and that was it. It's mostly takeout-dine in. Anyways, stop by. I know the place looks a little divey but it is in fact very clean and delicious. And definitely get the stuffed wings and egg rolls! Finish it off with some Thai tea. We'll be back! read more

My wife and I went here on a Friday night. I was surprised when I received a bowl of deliciousness called Pho Deluxe. It was quite filling and tasty. We also ordered a basil fried rice. I will say the fried rice was some of the best I had. It wasn't too hard or too sticky. The chicken was tender. My only disappointment was spring rolls were "out". It was a half hour to closing and the place is smaller. It was an overall excellent meal. read more

Loved it! This place is pretty small with only 6 tables but it was hopping the entire time I was there. The setup is a little unusual as you order at the counter before sitting. Then server brings your food to the table. The service was great! The cashier/server was super friendly and willing to give recommendations. The food came out very quickly. I was also happy to see that the table was already stocked with chili flakes along with a plethora of other sauces and garnishes as I'm a fun of spicy. As to the food, I had the Pad See Ew with tofu, which is my fav Thai dish and I've eaten at countless restaurants. I prefer a sweeter sauce but it was still delicious with plenty of veggies and tofu- not just a bunch of rice noodles. The tofu was perfectly fried as well. I also had the tri-color tapioca drink which was fun but very sweet. They did warn me of that before I tried it though so no foul. Have you ever caught yourself driving past a restaurant and you say, "hey I need to check that place out." Yeah I've done that dozens of times with Plia's. I've had their stuffed chicken wings before at the Farmers Market but never took the time to check out their restaurant. It's a tiny restaurant, with about six tables inside. Their menu consists of noodles and curry, plus egg and spring rolls and crab rangoon! I ordered take out on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. Took about 10 minutes to get the food, which wasn't so bad. I recommend calling ahead as there's not a lot of space to sit and wait. I ordered the green curry with beef. For being mild, the curry had enough kick for me but I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food. I still enjoyed the curry. Also ordered the crab rangoon. They're pretty good, but not the best that I had. There wasn't a lot of filling in it, that was the disappointing part. I'll be stopping a lot more instead of passing by. read more

Really delicious stuffed chicken wings! I had green curry with tofu - good, had A LOT of salt. Had that spicy kick that I enjoy with green curries. The other had beef with ginger. It was good. I thought the flavor was reminiscent of beef ramen noodles (remember those foil packets with flavor flaves??). Not a bad thing, just wasn't expecting that. My first trip here. I didn't know what to expect, it looks like a typical hole-in-the-wall, strip-mall asian eatery. The place is small, no atmosphere, but clean and nice. But the food! Wow, the food is amazing! There were four of us. I got the green curry with tofu, and it tasted SO good! My wife had the drunken noodle with chicken, and she loved it. A friend had a stuffed chicken wing, which she said was delicious! Everyone raved about the food. The place was crowded, with people eagerly waiting for food and even more people getting take-out. There wasn't much in the way of drink options, the guy at the counter actually seemed to discourage drinks, saying that they put water on the tables for everyone. I noticed that most people just had their complimentary water without any other drink. The tables all have a large selection of condiments, which is a nice touch. I'll be back for sure. I love the pho here - the small portion is big and it's less expensive than other places I've had it. The food is ready quickly and if you dine-in there is a plethora of table condiments. The crab rangoons are big and just a little sweet (I believe they have a little sugar on the outside). I also enjoyed the coffee. The location is small and they do fill up during lunch and dinner - sometimes I just do carry-out instead. They pack up the items securely and separately so the noodles aren't getting saturated on your drive home. The to-go box has generous portions of the 'toppings,' which is really great. read more

The phone system is in dire need of an upgrade, you have to continue to call and hope that they answer. Which was always tolerated because the product was worth the wait. Today the quality of the food was the worst we have ever had at Plia's. Rice was terrible, there was no double chicken in the 4 dishes that I ordered( 8 dollars worth) My husband called to share some feedback and the person that answered the phone said he was," sorry that they were busy today" Long Pause.. and my husband said " Is that it"? and he said, Yes I don't have any thing else to say" We will save $84.00 next time and hope that they work out the kinks of growing a business and the gift of customer satisfaction. read more

The Thai basil, bean sprouts, lime and jalapeno were generous. The best selection on table of condiments I've ever seen. The Thai iced tea was on point and "destination worthy" - good body, slightly smokey & sweet, but not too sweet as some are. The offered extra glass of ice water was appreciated. Nice big bowl of pho, likely 1.5 quarts. They offer take nice home styrofoam containers and bags. Noodles we're enough but not out of balance in amount compared to other ingredients. Plenty of beef, tripe, a good number of jumbo shrimp. The meatballs had good flavor but the texture and firmness made me wonder what binders and fillers had been used, maybe a little too much, or too much mixing and pressure during preparation? Prices fair. Stuffed wing was a real treat at the price. Listed as one of the best 3 'readers favorite' places yesterday in the local newspaper. Plia's kitchen is our favorite neighborhood Thai joint. Last night we had the green curry with beef, drunken noodles, egg roll, crab Rangoon, and the stuffed chicken wing. You're probably thinking...that's a lot of food, what is wrong with you? In our defense, it was Linner (lunch and dinner combined), and I had a perfect amount leftover for a midnight snack and breakfast the next morning(I do not discriminate when it comes to breakfast foods). The green curry comes perfectly spiced. No need to ask for spicy-unless if you dare, in that case...GOOD LUCK. Extra spicy green curry from Plia's is not for the faint of heart. I had thre pad thai to go since I was headed out to a work meeting, and when I got it the bag was heavy. You get a ton of food at a minimal price, flavor is great. The only downside is I ate it quick on my lap and oil ran through the box. That is my fault, but on the flip side it shouldn't be that greasy. Don't buy into the stuff chicken wings for $2.75 each. It is stuffed with vermicelli rice noodles and it's not good. The crab Rangoon does not have enough cream cheese and flat for $0.75 each is way overpriced. The spring rolls at $1.75 is the best for the price. The Pad Thai is too sweet and for $8 a plate. The squash curry is again too sweet and not enough spice like in most Thai restaurants. Overhyped is what it is. Also don't expect your cashier to smile even once at you coming. She looked like you came to make her work so why bother going there. Never again. read more

All signs pointed to this place being really good, and it was! People continued to come in to leave standing room only... so come early! The young ladies that work here are extremely friendly and will talk you through the menu if you are unfamiliar with Thai food.
