What a hidden gem in the heart of The Woodlands! We were looking for some comfort food on a rainy day and Ploy was super close to where we're staying. You never go wrong with a homemade curry to warm your soul up. We walked in right when they opened for dinner and we were greeted by the sweetest server. Unfortunately I didn't get her name but she was fantastic. She took great care of us and answered all of our questions with patience and care. She deserves the 5 stars alone. Now about the food. The portions were generous, the flavor and spices were perfect! I wish the curry was a little more creamy and less soupy but otherwise it overall deserves 5 stars. The restaurant was cute and clean, has some traditional motifs on the wall and it feels really cozy.

I like coming here for the appetizer buffet. The pad kee mao has been a staple of mine here for years. It's very moist and delicious. The service and friendly and attentive. This visit was quite unpleasant because the temperature inside the restaurant was so hot. Hopefully the AC will be fixed.

super cheap lunch special with an unlimited app bar but a bit questionable at how long it's been sitting out... everyone there seemed to be regulars though but as someone who loves thai i wouldn't say it's a must.

A hop skip and a jump from the Woodlands Mall, it's easy to relax into this peacefully decorated spot. It's more than the relaxing soundtrack, and quiet patrons, it's moreso the spaciousness, inviting service, stress free parking (bonus of a suburban restaurant), and the prospect of authentic cuisine in the area that's not categorized as "American" or "Modern American" (ie every popular Woodlands restaurant). On our visit, I was unfortunately distracted from my zen bubble as soon as our food arrived. Although the food was presented beautifully, myself and my guest immediately noticed the tables (ours included) sat too far away from the booth seats for comfort. I get it- usually this is a minor thing, but the distance was pretty drastic, so much so that it made eating a chore. I'm not sure if this is every diners experience (being that I'm 4'11" with the arm span of someone my stature), but is imagine it effects a majority of diners, and while I love a good workout, it's not exactly my idea of a relaxing meal. Other than that, the meal was fine, the curry was comforting, but I'm still in search of a Thai Food joint that will knock my socks off. All is forgiven with amazing food! As always, I plan to give them another try in the future. I'll select a different dish and maybe a table instead of a booth. :)

Really nice out of the way Thai food in the woodlands! I really enjoyed the selection of foods which can either just consist of a small Buffet or you can include the buffet with a purchased plate. The staff was super friendly and the service was great! I really enjoyed my meal here. Came here with recommendations from friends and was here at 11:00 a.m. sharp. The restaurant was ready to go with all of the buffet Foods out. We were greeted and seated immediately and I had a really nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The meals are approximately $15 per person ( whether you order a plate of food which includes the buffet or just the buffet itself), which is a really great deal either way. The buffet consisted of basic sushi, tempura vegetables, Thai fresh spring rolls, soup and dessert . It's Not Top Notch sushi but it's basic fun sushi that you would expect at a buffet In my opinion your best bargain is to buy a plate of food which they offer many Thai meals which I was able to try and they were delicious! With those plates of food those include the buffet which is a slightly better deal than just the buffet by itself Overall, I recommend trying the Thai food here! The staff was friendly, the dining area was clean, and the food was a great value! I will be coming back here again!

I'm giving this place 5 stars simply because of their Massaman Curry and their appetizer bar! Although ti didn't get a pic of the appetizer bar, I was able to snag one of the curry before devouring every last drop!!!! Their appetizer bar almost had me full but, no, I kept it classy and saved space for the curry!! Super happy I did. Deep, rich, body of flavors. Spice level II!! 10/10, would highly recommend! Staff was attentive and on point with every question I had about the menu and the bold flavors of the curry! Go during lunch! They have the appetizer bar as a freebie. The meal with appetizer bar was $13.95! Took my mom and she adored it. Want to go back tomorrow! I'm like mom! I'm a Yelp eliter, I literally have to try other places lol!!

So I have to admit I was a little skeptical because of some of the most recent reviews but let me tell you this may be one of those places where the reviews are kind of off. I really enjoyed everything. Service: the service was great, the waiter and waitress were extremely nice and welcoming. They greet you right away and make you feel at home. I was sat down right away and my order was taken. There was no waiting. They brought me my drinks right away. Service is definitely five stars. Food: I got the pad Thai and I have to admit it was pretty darn good. I got the launch pad Thai with beef and chicken level four spice and it was great. The color was a little different than my normal pad Thai but it was very good and full of flavor. It was spicy just right. They also have an open bar with sushi, soup, spring rolls, fried egg rolls, and even dessert. That is the first time ever seen that style a free appetizer. That's a pretty cool concept and I like it. The chicken satay was really good as well. The only reason I give them four stars instead of five stars is because anytime and establishment charges three dollars for a soda that's an automatic deduction of a star. No restaurant should ever charge three dollars for a can of soda water. If you were in the area ignore the reviews and give them a try. MONEY SAVER TIP BELOW! ******* also they have an amazing Groupon for nine dollars and you get $20 worth of food. That is a hell of a deal. **********

The place was packed when we visited during lunchtime on Friday. Service was friendly but chaotic - there were issues but were quickly addressed by the staff. You can order food with 5 levels of spiciness. Our server warned us that medium (3) was pretty spicy. She wasn't kidding. It's probably more like a 4 or 5 in other places. Other than the heat, the Pad Thai I ordered was pretty. Unfortunately, several pieces of chicken in our didn't taste fully cooked. Could an isolated case - my lunch partner that ordered the same thing didn't have this problem. Value wise, this place is great. You get a main entree plus access to the buffet bar. We would probably be back.

Great place for lunch. I had the spicy sesame chicken and my wife had the yellow curry. Highly recommend.

We went for lunch. Order an entrée and get the appetizer buffet. The food is decent and overall a great value!

The pad krapow isn't really Thai style. It leans heavily Chinese, and if you want it closer to the real thing, the upcharges start stacking. Ground pork swapped for sliced chicken? +$2. Add a fried egg? +$3. You can see the pattern. The green curry was fine. Not bad, not memorable. Other places do it better, though I'll give them credit for the gold bowl -- nice presentation. The cheese sticks come in egg‑roll wrappers, which is exactly what it sounds like: mozzarella stick meets egg roll. I tried to talk my kid out of ordering it, but they wanted something "not Thai." Honestly, most of the menu already fits that description. A lot of dishes feel like Westernized interpretations of Thai food rather than Thai food itself.

The food portions were generous, but the food was completely bland and dry. The items we ordered: 1. Shrimp fried rice. The shrimp was a nice size and not overcooked. The rice itself was dry and tasteless. 2. Crying Tiger (Beef with sticky rice). It clocked in at "not bad". While dry, it at least had flavor. 3. Pad Thai with chicken . Bland and underwhelming. 4. Pok Pok Chicken appetizer. The dryest bland fried chicken we've ever had. We decided that it was best to throw it away rather than feed it to our dogs. It tasted like the chicken had been under a heat lamp for hours. 5. Crispy Chicken Rolls Appetizer. The only enjoyable part of the meal. We were excited to try a new place but were disappointed. All of the food wasn't awful but it wasn't exactly good either. The experience could have been worse as it could have been overpriced. The serving sizes were generous for the amount they charged. Unfortunately a lot of mediocre to bad food is still not why we order food from restaurants. Hopefully this is just an aberration because of the time of day we ordered the food or perhaps their take out is not as good as their dining in experience. We might be open to going back to give it another shot but would definitely order different items. It's not likely, but it could happen. 3 stars because of the portion sizes and friendly staff. I ended up just following the crowd and picking my own table. It looked like there was only one server. The place isn't big at all, so I'm not sure how things got overlooked, but anyway let's get to the food. I will say this everything came out fresh and really hot, but the dishes seriously lacked flavor. Keep in mind, I've spent two weeks in Thailand and tried every mainland dish that's referred, , so I know what a good curry tastes like and this, my friends, was not it. The curry was extremely watery and had almost no flavor. You don't even taste curry at all. The roti appetizer honestly needs to be taken off the menu. It's not even worth mentioning, but here we are. Tough, no flavor basically like construction paper dipped in dyed water. The wings were fried perfectly, I'll give them that, but there was no seasoning. They were lightly coated in sauce, and even then nothing made them memorable. My entree was the Chicken Curry Noodle, and this dish was just... weird. I know it's prepared a little differently in Phuket, but personally, I think the cabbage and fried noodles completely ruined it. Even if the cabbage was meant to complement the dish, it still felt unnecessary. The curry itself was basically watered-down paste. I don't understand how something can be known for curry when you can't even taste curry. Also, that bowl it's served in please get rid of it. It makes the dish harder to enjoy. A simple medium bowl would've been perfect. Eating watered-down curry out of what feels like a genie lamp isn't my (or anyone's) idea of good dining. Definitely last on my list. Happy Yelping
