    PAPAYA SALAD
    David C.

Thai Cottage is a solid place for Thai takeout in the Woodlands area of Texas. The taste of both the papaya salad and tom kha soup were spot on and reminded me of the flavors I had in Thailand for the most part. I also appreciate that they adhere to the true Thai spice level ratings here. I got the medium spice level for the papaya salad in case they weren't true to the Thai spice levels and a mild for the tom kha soup in case they did. I'm glad I was cautious because even the medium for the papaya salad was very spicy in the best way. The portion size for the papaya salad was a bit disappointing especially for the price and after seeing how the portions look like for dine in. Thai Cottage is a solid takeout place and I would order here again.

Delucious! Tom Kha (coconut and chicken soup)

Wonderful friendly clean place that I love to go to for a delicious lunch or dinner. Speedy friendly service! Food is hot and fresh and yummy! My only complaint is the price of the Thai iced tea, but it's very good! Everything I've had on the menu is amazing. Nice decor and TVs to watch if you want to escape a boring conversation or if you're eating alone!

Small stand alone bldg behind the Taco Bell, chase bank and Panera bread. We walked in and we were greeted right away and seated. Drink orders taken within 2-3 mins Place is clean and appears well maintained. Decor is nice. Parking lot is large. We arrived Sat at 11:30am for lunch and we were a group of 4 and there were 3 other tables already seated and couple more after we arrived. We ordered the 2 Yellow curry and 1 red curry on season level 2 (to me it was perfect, 1-2 is mild and 3 would be my suggested max which I'll try 3 next visit) we ordered 1 with shrimp and 2 with chicken and one fried rice with chicken. We ordered off the lunch part of the menu on back page. You get a choice of a green leaf salads or soup. 3 of us chose soup and the 4th got salad. The soup today was a cabbage soup with chicken, served hot and tasted really good, I suggest the soup as I only like iceberg salad or Cesar salad. Price was around $15 per person and the portion size was well with the price. Everything tasted really good and served hot and we had no complaints. We will return again for sure.

    Pineapple curry amazing!

Had lunch at Thai Cottage a few days ago and it was good! The place is cozy and spacious, and we were quickly seated. We ordered their papaya salad, pad see ew, green curry, and double pleasure on the grill. Servings are pretty large so do keep that in mind! With that being said I completely devoured the pad see ew lol. It was seasoned perfectly and had the perfect amount of mix-ins. The noodles were soft and not too chewy as well. I took a few bites from the grill platter and it was good! Liked how soft the scallops were. The green curry was pretty runny and the chicken was slightly overcooked. When we had the leftovers for dinner we found a long strand of hair. Don't know where it's from but I doubt it was from us since my parents and I have short hair so..

Decoration- ordered Crying Tiger, Green Curry and lunch specials, Coconut beverage, Unswetened Tea, Apple Juice

The ambience is totally Thai with the decor all around. We were greeted and assigned our table of 6. We ordered 3 Tiger Cry, pad thai, Green Curry with Shrimp and Chicken ( to much of my amazement it came in red sauce!, with side salad and spring roll. The coconut juice was served in goblet and had slices of coconut. Overall the food was fresh and warm and ingredients adhere to traditional thai cuisine.

Came here for dinner with a friend and really enjoyed our meal. We came the last day of Houston Restaurant Weeks so we enjoyed their dinner special. I ordered the wings, vegetable soup, green curry with shrimp and egg custard with sticky rice. Now the portions were normal size so I could not finish all the food there but everything ordered was so delicious. The wings were perfectly fried and their spicy, sticky garlic wing sauce was incredible! The vegetable soup had a great savory but light flavor. The green curry I asked for in the hottest level of spicy and I would say it would be a level 3 based on other Thai restaurants, but the flavor was good and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. I hasn't had Thai custard before and it was a surprisingly sweet end to a delicious meal. Our server was very nice and check in on us throughout the meal but I will say service went from really slow to the food coming out almost back to back.

    Mali, world's best waitress!

Mali is the best! Most amazing customer service, food and ambience! Great energy! Highly recommend!

Houston Restaurant Week has become so popular to whereas this event has extended to 5 weeks. While going through their bountiful restaurants and menus, I came across something that satisfied curiosity, fatness and frugality. I only hoped that it would also satisfy taste! For $35, this place was offering a 4 course dinner with multiple options to choose from. Just take a look at all that was available: First Course WINGS OF PARADISE crispy fried chicken wings with garlic in special sauce, garnished with fried sweet basil. SA-TE CHICKEN marinated chicken on skewers, grilled and served with peanut sauce and cucumber sauce. VEGETABLE CRISPY ROLLS fried rolls, wheat wrapper stuffed with carrots, cabbages and silver noodles served with sweet and sour sauce. Second Course YUM NUAH sliced grilled beef seasoned with lettuces, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and spicy lime dressing. YUM WOON SEN silver noodles, chicken and shrimps with chili paste, onions and tomatoes in lime dressing. PAPAYA SALAD shredded green papaya and carrots with dried shrimps, roasted peanuts, tomatoes and garlic in lime dressing. Third Course ROASTED DUCK CURRY roasted duck prepared with red curry paste, coconut milk, pineapple chunks, tomatoes and basil. served with steamed rice. THREE TASTE FISH FILLET fried fish fillets topped with bell peppers, onions and carrots in chef's special three taste sauce. served with steamed rice. SPICY BASIL FRIED RICE WITH CHICKEN fried rice with roasted sliced chicken, fresh basil, bell peppers, onions, green beans, carrots and garnished with cilantro. TOFU CHILI BASIL fried tofu stir-fried with fresh basil, carrots, bell peppers, green beans, onions and mushrooms. served with steamed rice. Fourth Course SWEET RICE WITH MANGO the sweet rice is flavored with a hint of coconut and topped with fresh mango. SWEET RICE WITH THAI CUSTARD a popular thai dessert. the custard is a delicious blend of egg, sugar, and coconut cream. when combined with our sweet rice, it is absolutely divine. FRIED BANANA & COCONUT ICE CREAM fried banana drizzled with honey and homemade thai style coconut ice cream. How do you beat such options? They even had the hookup for vegan diners. This review is already too wordy. Let me sum up my experience with one word - yum. Not only was the dishes quite tasty, but they also gave you nice sized portions. They have the traditional spice scale of 1 to 5 with one being the least spicy. I stayed with a very tasty number one. Something about being able to taste my food and keeping my stomach lining intact appeals to me. I ordered the wings, yum woon sen, duck and the ice cream. Yummmmmyyyy. I will not describe the different taste and textures that made up the various yums. Trust me...my options were all good. Just come here and try it soon. The amount of courses plus food you get for that price is definitely worth your time. Constructive criticism: The kitchen needs to get food out around the same time. The food is made fresh...no doubt about that. There was a time whereas 2 of the 4 people had their 1st and 2nd course while myself and another waited on our first course. The 3rd course came out slowly for everyone as well. Of course the desserts came out timely. Workout that hiccup and this is a 5 star establishment.

Not really impressed. The pineapple tofu curry wasn't very spicy and the pineapples weren't fully cooked. Tofu tasted off as well.

No doubt about it.! Food: we started off with the crab ragoons and they were simply amazing. Made fresh, and made to perfect perfection! The pineapple fried rice was very good. I went with level two and let me tell you what it was pretty hot. I ordered an extra cashews and it really made the dish so much better. Amazing I cannot wait to try more things off their menu. The customer service was top-notch. The young man that helped us was very personable and got our food out quickly. I thought the inside of the restaurant was decorated very nice. Nice lunch crowd. But I'll let me tell you what the food came out quickly. Easy five star review

I tried practicing my Thai here, but it didn't go anywhere. The entire staff appeared to be…read moreCaucasian, and the one waitress who said she was Thai still replied to me in English every time I spoke Thai. So much for immersion. The pad krapow isn't really Thai style. It leans heavily Chinese, and if you want it closer to the real thing, the upcharges start stacking. Ground pork swapped for sliced chicken? +$2. Add a fried egg? +$3. You can see the pattern. The green curry was fine. Not bad, not memorable. Other places do it better, though I'll give them credit for the gold bowl -- nice presentation. The cheese sticks come in egg‑roll wrappers, which is exactly what it sounds like: mozzarella stick meets egg roll. I tried to talk my kid out of ordering it, but they wanted something "not Thai." Honestly, most of the menu already fits that description. A lot of dishes feel like Westernized interpretations of Thai food rather than Thai food itself.
