The food was okay though some of my wings were a little overcooked,. (I would rather them be overcooked than raw) We dined in today during the last day of the Anniversary special. Two of us were dining and we ordered with the intention of getting the one dollar wing special and adding fries and alcoholic beverages. Since payment is done through the handheld device, it wasn't until I received the text with my receipt that I saw the breakdown of the bill but I'm definitely blaming myself for not asking why my total was more than expected before I paid. Upon seeing the receipt, I asked the server why she had rung the food as two combos instead of the dollar wing special with fries, drinks and dips added and she informed me that the wing special was for only one flavor and said maybe she should've asked me beforehand. Hearing that was beyond disappointing. We had asked about the special and even ordered the beer that was on special. This was right down the road from where I was working, so, for lunch on a work trip I decided to order ahead in my phone so I could do a relatively quick lunch. I had to wait a bit of extra time after arriving, but everyone was nice and helpful. The one main issue I had was that I ordered a salad to-go, and I was told that they were out of to-go utensils. I was unable to secure utensils on my own where I work, so, they were able to locate some in the back. I went back a couple days later for convenience and again, they were out of utensils for to-go orders which seems wild. They also messed up the dressing for my salad order on of the trips The restaurant is identical to most every other Plucker's restaurants. I never dined in, but there seemed to be plenty of open tables and seating at the bar during the lunch rush. There is also covered patio seating I would typically order wings, but I had to eat out all week because I was on a work trip and I wanted to be "healthy" ish. The salads were tasty, and I would recommend them Some tips: I would definitely order ahead if you want takeaway They also have a rewards programs that give you freebies, discounts, and unique perks. The chicken was absolutely outstanding and the spicy garlic sauce really put it over the top. The tater tots were fresh and seemed like they had just come out of the fryer but we're not too hot. The iced tea was also delightful and was frequently refilled by the helpful wait staff. The TV screens or Giant so it was like being in a large screen movie theater watching various sports. There was plenty of seating so it was possible to talk and be heard but not overpoweringly loud. This looks like it would be a fun place for a group of friends to meet or even a family to enjoy a meal by itself. Giving 3 stars due to the not so great service we received on a Sunday afternoon. We seated ourselves at the bar since there was a wait for a table. We were greeted right away and gave our orders to the bar tender. We waited a really long time for our food which our bartender never checked in with us or gave us a "im going to check on your order" stop in. The people beside us ordered after we did, got their food before we did and even were done eating before ours even came out. We were about to leave as we gave them 5 more minutes and then our food finally came out. We had to waive down the bartender any time we needed anything when others that sat at the bar didn't. Not sure why we were on the receiving end of horrible service and others, got great service. The highlights were the food once it came out. It was hot and correct as we ordered. Unfortunately we had no manager stop in to tell us sorry for the food taking so long or even any acknowledgment of that. Do better brooks base pluckers. I'm so bad at getting names, but it was a young lady with glasses and gentlemen that was helping us out I'm assuming that the bar as a hole just helps everyone! Still, everything from the wings to the burgers feels dense. Even the fries come out oversized and hit your stomach like a brick. One of my friends got a burger and he felt it right away; it just didn't sit well. One thing I didn't love is how cold the AC is. The plates aren't heated, so your food cools down almost instantly. For a place that leans into fried foods and sauces, that kinda kills the experience. And I'm pretty sure most of the food is frozen and processed, so I don't expect the fries to be hand-cut or anything, but I do wish the overall quality felt lighter and fresher. We were able to get seated for a large party. The manager was very kind. Servers were extremely overwhelmed and were barely keeping up with the amount of customers. They were apologetic however it did take us awhile to get food and drinks. At one point the poor waitress could not even get a mop so she cleaned up a soda spill with rolls of paper towels. Plucker's finally flew to the south side and what a treat it is since I've eaten at Plucker's on 3 separate occasions. First time was at the San Marcos location, 2nd time was at the one near the airport and the 3rd time was at the recently opened Brooks location. I ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. They were huge and better than the kind served at other chain restaurants. They have a huge selection of wings. The Dr. Pepper flavor is my favorite but I ordered different sauce flavors, spicy lemon pepper and mango habanero and they were both good. Came and checked in personally to the nice lady standing outside, she checked me in and wait time was listed at 20-45 minutes. Agree'd and proceeded to wait outside, eventually I was listed virtually 2nd in line. Then I received a text message stating I was taken off the waitlist, went to ask the lady inside and she basically told me I did it, and I would have to check in again and me and my party would have to wait probably an additional "20-45". Our dining experience was 10/10 our server Briana was attentive and super fast! I tried their Bypass Burger, and it was delicious! The burger was incredibly meaty, the bacon was crispy and flavorful. Alongside the burger, we also ordered a side of Buffalo Bites, which were a tasty complement to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Plucker's Wing Bar for its great food and enjoyable atmosphere.
