Giving 3 stars due to the not so great service we received on a Sunday afternoon. We seated ourselves at the bar since there was a wait for a table. We were greeted right away and gave our orders to the bar tender. We waited a really long time for our food which our bartender never checked in with us or gave us a "im going to check on your order" stop in. The people beside us ordered after we did, got their food before we did and even were done eating before ours even came out. We were about to leave as we gave them 5 more minutes and then our food finally came out. We had to waive down the bartender any time we needed anything when others that sat at the bar didn't. Not sure why we were on the receiving end of horrible service and others, got great service. The highlights were the food once it came out. It was hot and correct as we ordered. Unfortunately we had no manager stop in to tell us sorry for the food taking so long or even any acknowledgment of that. Do better brooks base pluckers. The chicken was absolutely outstanding and the spicy garlic sauce really put it over the top. The tater tots were fresh and seemed like they had just come out of the fryer but we're not too hot. The iced tea was also delightful and was frequently refilled by the helpful wait staff. The TV screens or Giant so it was like being in a large screen movie theater watching various sports. There was plenty of seating so it was possible to talk and be heard but not overpoweringly loud. This looks like it would be a fun place for a group of friends to meet or even a family to enjoy a meal by itself. Boy oh boy do I love me some Pluckers. Walked in on a Saturday right around lunchtime, just as the Longhorns were kicking off on the tellie. Place was buzzing, pints were flowing, and I thought to myself, this is exactly where I'm meant to be. Started things off with the Holy Mac, tossed in chili lime. A proper little snack to get the taste buds going. You could serve that to royalty and no one would complain. Now to the main event, the wings. Twenty-five of the beauties between me and my better half. Ten Buffalo Hot, five Spicy Lemon Pepper, five Garlic Sriracha, and five Maple Chipotle. I'll be honest, the Maple Chipotle didn't quite hit for me, but you can't say I didn't try. The Buffalo and Lemon Pepper though, top drawer. The pints of Miller went down too easy. They've got that sneaky taste that makes you say, "just one more," about five times. Service was on point, wings came out hot, and the energy in the place was spot on. You can't beat it really. I'm so bad at getting names, but it was a young lady with glasses and gentlemen that was helping us out I'm assuming that the bar as a hole just helps everyone! Pluckers is one of those places where the vibe honestly outshines the food. It's your classic wing barn and grill, but what makes it cool is the wall-to-wall TVs. No matter where you sit, you're not missing a game. It actually reminded me a little of the old ESPN Zone in Times Square with how surrounded you are by screens. I brought my friends here for a little dinner date, and we still had fun just hanging out and watching the games. The atmosphere really does carry the experience. Now, the food itself... it's alright. Nothing terrible, nothing amazing--just heavy. I tried the hot wings and the spicy mango ones (can't remember the exact name), and both had solid flavor. Still, everything from the wings to the burgers feels dense. Even the fries come out oversized and hit your stomach like a brick. One of my friends got a burger and he felt it right away; it just didn't sit well. One thing I didn't love is how cold the AC is. The plates aren't heated, so your food cools down almost instantly. For a place that leans into fried foods and sauces, that kinda kills the experience. And I'm pretty sure most of the food is frozen and processed, so I don't expect the fries to be hand-cut or anything, but I do wish the overall quality felt lighter and fresher. Overall, Pluckers is a solid spot if you're coming to watch a game and snack on something small. But for a full meal? Probably not. You're mostly paying for the atmosphere, not the food. We were able to get seated for a large party. The manager was very kind. Servers were extremely overwhelmed and were barely keeping up with the amount of customers. They were apologetic however it did take us awhile to get food and drinks. At one point the poor waitress could not even get a mop so she cleaned up a soda spill with rolls of paper towels. Agree'd and proceeded to wait outside, eventually I was listed virtually 2nd in line. Then I received a text message stating I was taken off the waitlist, went to ask the lady inside and she basically told me I did it, and I would have to check in again and me and my party would have to wait probably an additional "20-45". Plucker's finally flew to the south side and what a treat it is since I've eaten at Plucker's on 3 separate occasions. First time was at the San Marcos location, 2nd time was at the one near the airport and the 3rd time was at the recently opened Brooks location. I ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. They were huge and better than the kind served at other chain restaurants. They have a huge selection of wings. The Dr. Pepper flavor is my favorite but I ordered different sauce flavors, spicy lemon pepper and mango habanero and they were both good. Our dining experience was 10/10 our server Briana was attentive and super fast! I tried their Bypass Burger, and it was delicious! The burger was incredibly meaty, the bacon was crispy and flavorful. Alongside the burger, we also ordered a side of Buffalo Bites, which were a tasty complement to the meal. Overall, I highly recommend Plucker's Wing Bar for its great food and enjoyable atmosphere. We tried their strawberry margarita, and it was fantastic! The flavor was refreshing and had just the right balance of sweetness and tanginess. The presentation was also great . Usually a good time! This night, on trivia night, we had long wait times for our order, and also had to send food back because it was cold. I did the boneless bites basket in garlic parmesan with tots, daughter had the 5 pc combo in Buffalo medium with waffle fries, and husband ordered the 10pc combo in half honey bbq/half garlic parmesan with waffle fries. Also she was not very polite, seemed quite unorganized, frequently forgetting requests and taking a long time to respond to our needs. We had to ask multiple different servers for basic items like water refills and our food took a while to arrive, a large group who was sat after us got their order first. Overall, the service significantly impacted our dining experience and could use significant improvement.
