This is the last time I go here. They cannot get orders right. NO Onions. Kinda a big deal. Especially when paying 87 dollars for street tacos. It's my fault. I'll admit. I'm dumb for ordering. Don't be dumb like me. On to another place I'll frequent.

10-10-10 across the board! This place is a fun time! Good service. Good food. Good atmosphere and mariachis on Wednesdays and Fridays! The BEST Mexican margarita I've ever had!! Free chips and salsa! A must visit spot!!

We enjoy going on Tuesdays. The fajitas for 2 were $22 now as of last week they are $25. You have to ask for it- not on the menu. Food always comes out very fast and everything has been consistent and good! We will keep returning!

The wait was long, the food was bland and the service was not good. No one who works here moved with a purpose considering how busy the restaurant was. We got seated before the table next to us but they got service before we did. There were a bunch of flies so it made it difficult to eat. The cheese on the enchiladas was cold but our server hardly came around to check on us so we couldn't tell him that the food was cold. He also never brought us refills until our glasses were completely empty and even then, we still had to wait. Meanwhile the manager was at the front playing around with the workers. Just plain awful. Save your money and go somewhere else.

13 Dec 2025 Me and my former coworkers still meet once a month for lunch. We toggle between here and La Fogata on Vance Jackson (the best one in my book). Anyway, it's María Bonita for December. They still do that brunch menu thing. We had French toast and strawberry banana pancakes. The pancakes are offered as 2 or 3. I went for two. Thankfully so. The pancakes are covered in a bunch of strawberries and banana slices. Served with syrup. I asked for some butter. Got it. With the syrup, just delicious. I think 3 cakes would have been too much. One of us got the Cowboy breakfast. Eggs, potatoes, bacon and pancakes. Whew! She took some home. This place is the real deal. Go there.

I stopped in to the super cute Maria Bonita for the first time recently to enjoy brunch with some girlfriends. The interior is very spacious and filled with cute decor and a lively ambiance. Service was a little spotty (i arrived a little later than my other friends and it took over 20 minutes for someone to come take my order) but we were busy chatting a catching up (and they'd already been served the brunch in a bottle mimosa kit so I was able to occupy myself with that). When I was able to place my order and my Birria Quesadilla came out piping hot it was well worth the wait. Incredibly flavorful, tender, and crispy it was one of the best Birria Quesadillas I've had in the city in a while. Now that i know Maria Bonita is here I'll def be back to enjoy more of their Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes they're serving up there!

Got here at 6 on Friday and the wait was already 30-45 minutes. We were able to get seats at the bar and noticed there were empty tables - assume that they were missing staff? By the time we left the waiting areas inside and out were packed! Food was good, service super friendly. Prices very reasonable.

From the outside this place looks like a little whole in the wall, and without YELP, I would have passed on by. I'm sure glad we stopped. First off, for lunch on a Tuesday, it was packed! The fajitas were so yummy. I wish I could have tried a mixed drink because they all looked so yummy. My only two complaints, the onions had a funny taste and I couldn't eat them. And I wish they had more shrimp plates. Other than that, it was pretty good! Beef was really tender

So far so good!!! Cute Vibrant Vibe... Margarita So Far a "5," Impressed! Unfortunately Food was not anything to jump up & down about. None of us finished our entrees. But bar was a happening spot with great cocktails & service.

The food here is incredible! I'm super picky about Mexican/Tex-Mex being a native to SA and this place really impressed me. I will be back WITH FRIENDS. The atmosphere is gorgeous and exactly what you're looking for when you want to enjoy Mexican food. The servers and staff were so professional and accommodating. And the food came out super fast!

This is one spot I've been trying to get to for a while, so I was very glad when I finally did. And it actually lived up to expectations. I enjoyed the food, the service was spectacular and I love the vibe and decor. I ordered some Chilaquiles, which were good, if a bit on the crunchy side. However, the food was tasty and enjoyable. The place is decorated in a fun way and is pretty inviting. And service was unbeatable. Our waiter was extremely attentive, very friendly and funny. He really made the visit worthwhile. A lot of the food looked interesting, so I will be making my way back to Maria Bonita sometime soon.

Maria Bonita Mexican Restaurant & Cantina is clearly popular--we had about a 20-30 minute wait and had to hunt a bit for parking (front, right, and left lots exist... eventually one opens up). Worth it. The inside is adorable with warm lighting, rustic brick, and these beautiful woven bird-nest decorations hanging from the ceiling that give the space such a cozy, artisanal vibe. Margaritas were excellent. I had La Patrona--smooth, balanced, and dangerously drinkable. My husband ordered La Tóxica, a spicy margarita with jalapeño-infused tequila and prickly pear. Both were fantastic. Food was solid all around. The Queso Fundido came in a cute little cast-iron pan and hit the spot. The Maria Bonita Combination impressed with tender, flavorful beef fajitas and cheesy enchiladas (flour tortillas were slightly dry). My Enchiladas Verdes had great flavor, though the chicken leaned a bit dry and could've used more salsa verde. Service was excellent--Byron was friendly, patient, and welcoming. Bonus: Happy hour daily 3-6 PM, mariachi on Wednesdays and Fridays, and a DJ on Saturdays. We'll definitely be back--especially for margaritas and happy hour.

    Does the restaurant take reservations?

    Yes.

I have a party if 8-10 people at 7 PM today Do I need to reserve a table or will you be able to accommodate when we get there?

Sorry I didn't see this absolutely yes

What time do the Mariachis play on Wednesday?

    7pm

    Are reservations required?

    Nope

    Is there a happy hour?

    3 - 6pm every day

Can they accomodate 10-15 people for a birthday dinner?

Yes , but if you know how many people are going, I suggest you make a reservation

Is there a time limit that we can be there once we are seated?

Don't think so. I go with friends and we sit and chat.

Not long. The place is pretty large. Just know they do brunch on the weekends and some items you like may not be available, like flautas are not available until dinner.

Morrissey hadn't graced San Antonio in over 10 years, with past cancellations and postponements haunting fans along the way. So when he finally returned, San Antonio Moz fans showed up and showed out. Despite multiple after-party options across the city, fans from Brazil, the UK, Canada, Japan, and all across the U.S. chose Bang Bang Bar as the place to be on a cold Saturday night. Hosted by local emcee Ricardo Moz and Apollo DJ, the night turned into one for the history books. Bang Bang Bar is easily one of Texas' best dive-lounge bars...the perfect blend of gritty and cozy. Great cocktail program, solid beer selection, and a vibe that just works. The décor leans heavy into a 1950s-60s lounge aesthetic, with intimate spaces like the Blue Room and Yellow Room, perfect for groups of 7-10. Low lighting, warm atmosphere, and zero pretension exactly what you want for a night like this. Bang Bang Bar consistently supports local and touring acts, spanning punk, alternative, and DJ-driven nights, and this Moz Smiths Disco was no exception. It was wall-to-wall classics all night long. Major credit to Phanie and the Bang Bang Bar management they rolled up their sleeves, brought in extra bar staff, and handled an overwhelming crowd like pros. Fans waited up to 45 minutes in the cold, with a line wrapping around the building, and the energy inside never dipped. As the host of Panic On The Streets, I'm incredibly thankful to Bang Bang Bar for helping us pull off one of the best after-parties we've done in years. Fittingly, 2026 marks the 10-year anniversary of both Bang Bang Bar and Panic On The Streets of San Antonio and what a way to celebrate. Bang Bang Bar has long been one of my favorite bars in town, and after this night, that reputation is more than earned. We started with the cream cheese-stuffed chiles, and they were outstanding. They had the perfect balance of sweetness with just enough spice. We also shared the tiradito, which was incredibly fresh, bright, and the perfect appetizer for a seafood feast. My husband ordered the Sopa Siete Mares and a shrimp cocktail. The portions are generous, so there was no way he could finish both, but he absolutely loved the cocktail. The flavors were fresh, well-balanced, and exactly what you want from great mariscos. I can never pass up Culichi-style sushi, so I ordered the breaded El Ronin roll, while my daughter had El Samurai. If you've never had Sinaloa-style fusion sushi, you're missing out. The flavors are bold, creative, and so satisfying. My other daughter ordered the pulpo, and it was cooked perfectly tender from the first bite to the last, with none of the chewiness that octopus can sometimes have. To top it all off, I had a cocktail called the Fish. It was served in the cutest little bird-shaped glass and made with vodka, passion fruit, mango, and lemon. It was refreshing, fruity, and the perfect complement to the meal. Between the fresh seafood, generous portions, creative menu, and excellent flavors, Aguazul delivered a fantastic Father's Day lunch. We'll definitely be back!
