My first experience was NOT good. We sat at the bar and was not greeted Or acknowledged for over 20 minutes. I finally had to stop a bartender and ask for drinks and menu. Again, after deciding what to drink, we were ignored. And the manager didn't seem to care when I mentioned it to her. So we just left. Called Pluckers to enquire about the time for a to-go order, was told it takes 15-20 minutes. I said thanks see you soon and was informed they do not allow people to come inside and order, you have to wait in your car. I said well I don't like sitting in the car so I headed to Hooters down the street. When I drove past Pluckers I saw quit a few cars in the parking lot so I called back, same girl answered the phone, and I asked if they had dine in service and she replied yes. I asked her if I could dine in but I couldn't sit down and have a beverage and an appetizer while I waited for my to-go order and she replied Yes sir that is correct. Just my opinion but that is kinda stupid. Hooters is kinda loud but I enjoyed an appetizer, beverage, and watched some sports. I am sure Pluckers wont miss one $50.00 plus tip order but Hooters was glad to see me. Too bad I will never know if their food is as good as Hooters, Wingstop, Space City, or any of the many other places that serve wings because I can go anywhere else. Abby!! She was the sweetest, cutest waitress ever. Hard to believe she ever needed any training at all because she was a pro! So attentive and kind. My husband and I came here Friday night and had no issues at all. Food was great, staff was great. The manager even came up to our table to check on us, he was a very kind gentleman. This place is AMAZING! I am a picky eater and I like what I eat to be cooked according to my preferences. Pluckers Pasadena was fantastic from the moment I walked in. From the initial greeting (authentic and fun) to the end of the meal it was fantastic. Our waitress was attentive and helpful! She was training another wait person. We ordered and both were attentive without hovering. Then when we finished our meal another wait person that wasn't ours, cleared the dishes without hesitation. I had visited this location once before and the food took a long time, I didn't really think anything of it because my server was great. This last time I went, I was asking the server a question about a flavor of the wings and she said I would not be able to taste one of the ingredients. Long story short, she never checked on us, never filled our drinks up again, and when our food came out an hour later, you could taste the flavor in the wings so I told her I didn't want it (I did ask her to bring another sauce to try to mask it but it did not help). When the manager came over she questioned that that was even a flavor in one of their sauces, yet it says it on the menu. After I kindly asked for the check from our waitress, she ignored me and rolled her eyes and walked off. We told the manager and paid for our tickets then left. I was extremely disappointed because I had high hopes for this place. I work in the service industry so I know we have tough days especially when customers give us a hard time, but she was not given any sort of hard time. It took us having to ask other servers for our items they came back before our server came back. When I got home the wings were very overcooked and overpriced for what we got. Wing stop will be my wing place from now on. They were small and almost to a burnt crisp. Obviously something was awry at the Pasadena pluckers last night judging from the other reviews I'm seeing. I love pluckers so much and was super excited to try out the new location that was even closer to me. Let's just say, I'll be sticking with the Webster location from now on. The food was delicious as usual, my waitress seemed new, and she was as accommodating and swift as she could be. Could use some practice but this is a new location so i get it, probably have lots of new people who are fresh to learning. I will say if you plan on sending something back to have it remade, be prepared to be verbally accosted by the manager herself. My friend ordered a drink that took a long time to come out, was about half melted when she finally got it, and when she drank it she felt like it didn't taste right. She told our waitress, who then (for whatever reason) brought the manager over who proceeded to talk to us in the most disgusting tone and be very condescending when all we asked was to have the drink remade, and weren't even rude about it. It was completely unprofessional and distasteful. It absolutely killed the vibe. I understand it was busy, but if you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen, boo‍. this is only getting three stars bc i can't do the holy Mac dirty like that. read more
