I had such a great experience at Pluckers today. The waiter was amazing. I don't know his name, but he was really nice and he really did make the whole experience better. He was attentive and made us feel comfortable asking questions the entire time. I ordered the mild buffalo wings 5 piece combo with waffle fries, and it was a 10/10. The wings had so much sauce and were so good and flavorful. Their ranch was really good too. I also got the brownie with ice cream for dessert and that was a 10/10 as well. I really liked the environment too. It wasn't super crowded today, which made it even more enjoyable. I'm guessing there wasn't a sports game on today. I also loved where we sat and they were very accommodating when I needed to sit at a booth instead of a table. They understood and handled it really well. I also love that on Tuesdays kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. That's such a nice bonus. Poor overall First let's start with a wait time: Told us 30 min. - took 53minutes and never advised us or gave us a courtesy call. Managers lily and Alex need training on how to talk to customers. Waiters has to many tables and open dirty table would help seat customer waiting. Salads came out with wrong dressing (blue cheese instead of ranch) and we had poured it into salad, waiter never came back to check on us if everything was ok. Appetizer sampler arrived and no plates given, we walk over ourselves to get them. Beer ordered from bar came after 14 minutes ( bar is next to our table) Told us there was 5 choice wings on 50 wings special, so we gave 5 choices and they charged us for them, which we were not told. Paid tab and wanted to do survey and manager rushed over and deleted it. I told her I wanted survey and she stated "nobody ever looks at those". I told her that was fine but I still wanted it. After 3 hours we were finally let go from the bad service, customer care and non communicative managers. Poor place, save yourself the headache go elsewhere. I would live for district/geberal manager or franchisee to contact me so we could talk on how to better operate and retain customers. read more

I swung by here on a late lunch break and the place was predictably pretty empty. Since I was by myself, I opted for the bar rather than a table. The bartender only had about 4-5 customers and was clearly more focused on getting cleared up and either out of there (or ready for the dinner rush?) than those of us at the bar. I ordered a sweet tea, which I've gotten before from three other locations. This one tasted like it was designed to give you instant diabetes. It was so sickeningly sugary, I'm surprised it was fully liquid. I had to order a replacement regular tea just to dilute it to a manageable level. Of course, my refill came back sickeningly sweet as well, so I just left it untouched. The rest of my lunch was relatively uneventful until the end. Food came out as ordered and tasted as good as anywhere else I've been to. The next issue arose when I went to pay. I loaded a reward on my phone to show to the bartender and she's literally grabbing the phone out of my hand to scan the code because she couldn't be bothered to maneuver her device to read the code. I don't respect waitstaff that do that. If you'd like me to hand over my phone, just ask. I will most likely never come back here. It's a much better experience at the Memorial City and Stafford locations. read more

As someone relatively new to the Pluckers experience (#1) and the furthest thing from a wing enthusiast, I came away relatively impressed with this Meyerland location. It's a massive establishment with abundant everything: parking, people, and naturally, wings. There are TVs everywhere. If it's Tuesday evening (#2), then it's suddenly families and children left and right. Otherwise it's a common hangout for sports fans and locals from the neighborhood. Waits are not much of an issue; more often times there are more seats than people. The place even smells like fried food. But regarding the latter, my lemon pepper and buffalo wings were a tinge on the small side and the waffle fries were stale. I love that Macaroni and cheese is a hard pass, as it was a cup of slop and watered down. The wing sauces are a treat, especially the battle goldrush, maple chipotle, and vampire killer. I also love the massive 32 oz cups of water. (#3) Service is lukewarm at best. It was the one area despite the subpar food that I couldn't bring myself to appreciate. We enjoyed the great service provided by Porche and the food which was naked wings. My wife and i both ordered off the lunch menu. 8 wings and 2 sauces on the side and some free celery and 1 side. Wifey picked the tater tots and i went wit' the waffle fries. The tots were our clear favorite. The sauces i picked had some spicy heat, cajun and gochujang. My wife got the honey bbq sauce....both meals showed up wit' some ranch, glad it did 'cause it relieved some of my sauces heat. We had some leftovers and they do a good job of providing togo containers and even providing lids for our sauces. Porche even asked if we wanted togo waters...great friendly service. They have a plethora of tasty sauces....even some that will probably burn your face off....i'll wimp out on those. read more

This location is right off the 610 loop in the Meyerland plaza. Get there by using the feter road because the next exit will take you too far. even though it's tucked away in a corner of the plaza it is usually jam packed and the environment inside is jumping. the staff is usually pretty good about seating and serving but for faster service get in line ahead of time. the wings and other food always come out hot and fresh. You should stop in for a good lunch or dinner or just grab a drink at the bar and catch a game! read more

I have been to Pluckers in Meyerland about five times or so, and Pluckers in general close to 10 times. Their newest location is located right off of 610, and makes for a convenient stop for me and my buddy for dinner after we play tennis in the area. They have a large parking lot, and it can get busy, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (4.5/5): Pretty much what you would expect from a wings bar. Lots of seating, a bar area, and lots of TVs. It makes for a great spot to watch games, and they do typically have the sound on for Houston sports and for other big events like Monday Night Football. With the number of TVs everywhere, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Service (3/5): I have had varying levels of service at Pluckers, but generally, it's pretty good. They may not come around as often as you would like, but they do a decent job. You also pay using those handheld devices. The tip that's calculated on the devices includes tip and doesn't show you the pre-tax amount. Other handheld devices show the pre-tax amount. A bit of a pet peeve of mine. I like to make sure my order is correct before I pay. Here, you have to proactively ask for an itemized receipt or they will just show you the total amount and not what you ordered. Drinks (3.5/5): Most of the time, I just order a soft drink: either a sweet tea or a lemonade. They do make them in house, so that's always nice. Outside of that, it's a full bar with the typical assortment of drinks you find at a chain. Food (4.5/5): Pluckers has the best wings for a chain I've ever had. I like them so much that they are in my top 5, likely top 3, in Houston. The wings are a good size, they are crispy on the outside, and succulent on the inside. Their Gold Rush flavor is also unique to Pluckers and it's a delicious and tangy sauce. That's always my go-to, but I do like the variety. Their teriyaki is solid, too. I've also tried their lemon pepper, but it's too salty for my taste. I like the lemon pepper at Wingstop a lot better. I always order my wings extra wet for a small surcharge. Along with an order of waffle fries to balance the bone-in wings. Love me some crispy waffle fries. If you're looking for a deal, and you stop by frequently, consider becoming a Pluckers Club member to get discounts on food, birthday hook-ups, and more. They also have various daily specials, so that's another way to get some bang for your buck. I stopped going to the location on Shepherd because it's always packed and there's almost always a wait on the weekends or during a major sporting event. Ahhh Pluckers. Everytime you step foot into a Pluckers, you know what you're getting: Large beers, plenty of TVs, a fun wait staff, and a packed house for a big game. As a long time Pluckers Club member, I enjoy the perks of checking into different locations and trying to hit challenge benchmarks for rewards and free eats. Fortunately I got to check in here for the UH vs FL men's college championship game. We had a party of 12+ where wings and beers were ordered aplenty. Also did some loaded fries for the table which people loved too. Wings are top tier at this location, just like others. The goldrush is my go-to and you can't go wrong with the traditional buffalo (medium) or the cajun dry rub. I always get wings and beer when I'm at one of their locations, I'll need to try their burgers or chicken sandwiches as well for variety. This location has plenty of parking (thank god) plus large patio seating and of course, that big bar inside with all the tvs. Glad Pluckers has one at this area off of 610 which is not far from where I'm from! read more

THIS IS NOT A THOUGHTLESS 1-STAR This particular Pluckers has consistently provided some of the worst service and food quality I've had. Today (10/18) was my third and last visit. I ordered online around noon for a 5:00 PM pickup and received the confirmation email. When I arrived just before 5, staff couldn't find my order. I showed the email to a manager and another employee. After about 20 minutes, I was told they would remake the order and comp it. Twenty minutes later [~5:45 pm], a second manager asked to see the email again, took a photo, and said they didn't receive the order. I was told I "should have" gotten a 4:45 PM error email (I did not) and that I would now be charged full price after being told it would be comped. At their suggestion I checked my bank, no charge was pending, but I still had to pay for an order that was nearly an hour late. [It wasn't lost on me that they sent a women less than half my size to deliver this news. I wasn't about to get into the justifiable argument with her as the optics would not have been good, and it's my belief they knew that.] When I got home (7 minutes away), the fries were ice cold and covered in a sauce I didn't request, yet I was charged for it. I was also charged a "packing fee" after standing in the lobby for an hour past the promised pickup time. I had people waiting on me, and because of the spice and temperature issues, most of the meal went uneaten. Unbelievably bad experience. My boyfriend and I are frequent diners at Pluckers. We normally visit at least twice a month at various locations but mainly this location in Meyerland. As plucker reward members, it's incredibly sad to see how this location is declining overall every visit. As I have experienced many issues at this Meyerland location, my experience tonight was the worst by far at any plucker's location I've been to in Houston and Austin. First, we requested to sit outside and after five minutes had passed we were still not greeted even though multiple servers came on the patio to clean their tables. When we move to the bar for a quicker service, we were immediately greeted. However, after the appetizer came out, all three bartenders were more focused on cleaning the bar rather than providing exceptional service. Given that this location does not close till midnight, I'm unsure why the bartenders were cleaning around 9:50 PM when the bar was halfway full with guests. Over 20 minutes had passed since we received our appetizer and our wings still had not came out. Not one bartender had inquired about our food until we asked how much longer it would take. Our bartender told us that the food shows it's ready and that it should be out soon, but the food did not come out until at least five minutes after she said that it was ready. When we received our food, our food was cold And had little to no dry rub on the wings, although we were charged for and requested extra wet. When we requested that the wings be prepared correctly and ask for fresh fries the new set of food did not come out for an additional 20 minutes. Throughout that time, the manager did come and speak and apologize for the inconvenience as well as took care of our wings. However, the service provided by the bartenders still was less than average and dismissive. One bartender continue to mumble under her breath and response to my dissatisfaction to their service. The three bartenders continued to clean up the entire time while we dined. We continuously had to ask for their attention to receive items that we needed rather than them checking in to see if everything was going well. overall disappointing and poor service by the bartenders. read more

My roommate invited me and a couple classmates to Pluckers since they had a $1 wing event. They allow you to pick a flavor for every 10 wings. Ive only been to pluckers once a very long time ago but I remembered getting the bakers gold last time. I decided to try their garlic sriracha flavor. I had a sore in my mouth so it was kinda painful to eat on one side of my mouth but luckily they mainly gave me flats which was easier to eat than the drumsticks. The garlic sriracha is not really that spicy and the first few wings barely had any sauce on them. When I tried the ones at the bottom which was sitting in the sauce I could taste it more and it was honestly pretty good. This Pluckers is Houston's newest location making it location number seven. It is also my new favorite location as well. Don't get me wrong, they're all good, but this one edges out the rest just a little bit. The main reason? Parking! If you've been to other locations, you know why I have to state this. There's lots of it here. They have parking surrounding the building, but they also share a lot with a big retail store in the back which means plenty of parking. It is set up like most other Pluckers and pretty spacious. They have one open air patio as well as a closer off area in the back for additional seating. It came in clutch when there was a big televised game on. Customer service is always great here too. I'm a long time Pluckers Club member, back when it was a one time fee. I still get the same perks to this day even though they have pivoted to another way. It will pay itself off almost immediately even if you do the new plan where you pay 10 dollars every 6 months. The point system is very generous as well as the monthly free perks. It's a no brainer to be honest with you. The food here is pretty solid. They have a pretty decent selection of apps, wings in both the bone in and boneless variety and a bunch of sandwich and burger selections. Their apps are one of my favorite things. The Holy Mac is worth a visit alone. One of the best apps anywhere and I'm not even that big of a mac and cheese guy. The wings are top tier as well. The sauce and rub selection is big and there's some pretty unique flavors. I prefer the bone is wings. Their wings are on the larger side. I like my wings extra crispy so make sure and ask for that if that's your jam. My favorite sauces are the Spicy Ranch and now Hallelujah. Spicy ranch is self explanatory. The Hallelujah is basically a spicy BBQ. I've tried them all including the Fire in the Hole. It packs some real heat but the flavor is on point. Do and win their challenge for you to make it up on their Hall of Flame wall. Their boneless wings are basically tenders. Their boneless bites always come out dry. I would stay clear of these. I haven't tried much of their sandwiches but I hear good things. Their desserts like the brownie or fried Twinkies are a good palette cleanser. Their drink selection is great too. Get an ice cold beer or try one of their delicious specialty cocktails. They will sneak up on you. Overall, this is another solid Pluckers location and still one of my favorite wing spots. Went to celebrate a birthday, also for the $1 wings. We knew the wait was going to take a while, we joined the waitlist on Yelp at 5:41 PM, for 4 people. We arrived to the restaurant at 8 and asked the host outside if we could add 3 people to our party, we were told YES. We get the text at 9:12 PM that our table is ready, but it's only for four people. We asked if we could speak to the lady that changed the reservation from four people to seven like we were told , who apparently was the manager as we were told by Natalie, but was told no and they had to re-added us to the list and we had to wait another hour to be seated. The host in the front kept getting frustrated with us over a mistake another employee made, not us. She was very unfriendly and made things more difficult over small things. Communicating with her felt very tense. We were being nice and understood we had to wait longer for our table. We kept asking for an update because the app showed we were first place for over 30 minutes, but other people kept getting sat, we only checked in so that our table wouldn't go to somebody else or have the same thing happen as before, since we had already waited an extra hour. A more respectful approach could have made the experience better. We were as patient as can be, we wanted the same approach. The wings were delicious and so saucy! First Plucker's experience and I can tell why they're so popular! With juicy wings and all the sauce combos one can dream of, this sports bar is family friendly, clean, and serves tasty food. The menu also covers burgers, salads, hotdogs, sandwiches, and appetizers for those that want something other than wings/drumettes! They have a ton of sauce options that you can mix and match for your order (5 wings with one sauce, another 5 with second sauce, etc) and have both saucy, dry rubs, and spicy options. The Lemon Pepper dry rub was my favorite! The Gochujang had a generic soy sauce-heavy flavor with a kick instead of gochujang. And the Goldrush was sweet and tangy as advertised. You can also choose to get drumettes (mini drumsticks!) instead of wings, but for those who didn't know like me, they're not as juicy as the wings! The waffle fries can be mixed with the sauces too! We got the Spicy Ranch waffle fries, and while the sauce was very tasty (and not actually spicy), the fries were super oily and not crispy as my Pluckers fan partner had reminisced about. The chicken and fries were served hot and fresh; I think the fries just turned out extra oily that night. The ambiance is that of a clean sports bar with huge TV screens with all the sports you can imagine playing. Bring a jacket if you're afraid of the cold, because it was chilly inside! We went on a Saturday night and there was no wait but definitely a full house-- inside and out on the patio! The lighting makes everything *very* blue. Our server, Erica, was friendly and sweet and checked on us throughout the meal but pointed out a few thmes that we didn't order very much both when we ordered and when we paid... kind of weird. We arrived at 2:15pm, no one came to our table until 2:35pm so they refused to respect the lunch menu because it ended at 2:30pm. Best they could do for us was give us drinks which was a soda and Arnold Palmer and some sauces for free. Fast forward to the food. We waited another 40 minutes after ordering for the food to come out. Fries and tots were cold and stale, chicken sandwiches were soggy. This was our first time there. The only reason we'd go back is because our family raves about the service and food on their previous experiences. For sure we'd go to a different location. There was no reason for the delay in any part of the experience. The fact that the manager didn't bother to come to the table for service recovery, was deplorable. This Pluckers just opened up within the last few months. If you've never been to a Pluckers they are a family-friendly sports bar that specializes in wings. Both the restaurant interior and exterior were spotless. Everything felt new, and there is plenty of parking around the building. This place is such a hot spot that when I showed up at 8:20pm, I still had to get in a waiting list, with a potential wait of 40-50min. Luckily, I didn't taken but 20-25min of waiting, and they take your name and phone number to let you know when your table is ready. The service was good and the food was great. The menu offers so much in terms of appetizers, entree, alcoholic, and nonalcoholic drinks. While it took longer than usual for our food to come out 20-30min, the server was incredible; very friendly, attentive, and gracious. The portions size-able, so, consider sharing and maybe even taking some to go. Some tips: There is an extensive list of over 20 wing sauces. Even if you get the smallest size of wings, ask for at least 2 flavors so you can get a variety. You can also ask for these in the sides. If it's your first time they might offer you a half-size of fried pickle spears as they did with us. There is also a rewards program that costs $20, but it's a lifetime subscription and you earn points and get desserts, apps, and other perks for being a member. To "sweeten" the deal they might even throw in a free dessert if you sign up, as they offered us. Also, if you go to an Astros game and the Astros steal a base you can earn free wing coupons to be redeemed in store. Lastly, while this location doesn't currently offer trivia, some of the other locations like Shepherd and Webster have weekly pub trivia and it's a great time. Plus, you can win prizes! This is a great place to watch a game, enjoy happy hour, or to take the family. I would caution against taking a date as it gets pretty loud and rowdy and it can be hard to hear each other at times. Went in for 1st time for take-out. The female at the entrance was not friendly at all. Placed the order at 5:18pm-5 wing combo, waffle fries & BLT with iced tea. At 5:43, we asked another female employee if she could check on our order, her response was, "give me a minute" & she never came back. A second employee was asked to check on my order, same response and she never returned. The 3rd time I asked, she brought my order at 5:47pm. The food was cold, sauce was congealed. Disgusting food and service!!!!! Never again will I spend money at this business. Even gave a 20% tip when paying before receiving the order.
