I had such a great experience at Pluckers today. The waiter was amazing. I don't know his name, but he was really nice and he really did make the whole experience better. He was attentive and made us feel comfortable asking questions the entire time. I ordered the mild buffalo wings 5 piece combo with waffle fries, and it was a 10/10. The wings had so much sauce and were so good and flavorful. Their ranch was really good too. I also got the brownie with ice cream for dessert and that was a 10/10 as well. I really liked the environment too. It wasn't super crowded today, which made it even more enjoyable. I'm guessing there wasn't a sports game on today. I also loved where we sat and they were very accommodating when I needed to sit at a booth instead of a table. They understood and handled it really well. I also love that on Tuesdays kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. That's such a nice bonus. It's been a few years since I've eaten at Pluckers. This was my first time visiting this location. The restaurant is pretty large though there isn't much of a waiting area. They also have a patio out front. We made it in time before the Friday night dinner rush. Our server was Jazmyne. She was very nice, but unfortunately there were a few mishaps that led to a subpar experience. It took some time for water to be brought over. Our server was busy with her tables and she was hustling, so we were understanding. However, I ordered a Ranch Water and it was clear that she didn't know what it was. She stated it was similar to one of their cocktails that has Red Bull in it (it's not). She then asked if I wanted vodka or tequila. I've never heard of a Ranch Water made with vodka so I found that odd. Then she asked if Tito's was okay (after I stated that I wanted tequila). I eventually explained the ingredients and told her that well tequila was fine. What was worse is that she wasn't sure how to enter it into the system so she had to go to the bar to ask. I was about ready to cancel the drink order because it was way more complicated than it should have been. We started with an order of Holy Macaroni. We asked for small plates which were never brought to us. The app came out pretty quickly. The batter was very flavorful. I'm not a huge fan of mac and cheese, but it was good. It took about 45 minutes for our entrees to come out. I had the Buffalo Bites (half lemon pepper, half garlic parmesan). I opted for waffle fries which were lukewarm. The chicken was very flavorful and I enjoyed it with the ranch dressing. I wasn't able to eat much of my food so I asked our server for a to go box. Upon asking, our server made a comment along the lines of "that's all you're going to eat?" Though she didn't mean it in a negative way, it didn't sit well with me. Towards the end of the meal, my friend decided to sign up for the rewards program and that turned into an ordeal (if you want details, read Tri D.'s review). There were issues with the website so the manager had to manually enter in my friend's info. I'm trying really hard not to give this location 3 stars because, while there were some positives, the service was slow and it took quite a while for our main course to come out. Our server, Jazmyne, was nice and honestly did her best throughout the evening, but I do think she could use some additional training, especially when it comes to cocktail knowledge. My friend and I arrived around 6 PM. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded, so we were expecting things to move along a little quicker. We started with the Holy Macaroni. The appetizer came out very quickly, but unfortunately, it was barely warm. The batter itself was nicely seasoned and crispy, and the mac and cheese inside was simple but satisfying. Had it been served hotter, I probably would have enjoyed it even more. My friend, Tiffany J., decided to get the chicken bites, half lemon pepper and half garlic Parmesan, along with the waffle fries. I ordered 15 wings--all flats--with 5 lemon pepper rub, 5 ranch, and 5 Buffalo Hot. My friend's chicken bites were okay, but they were on the dry side. I was also expecting the garlic Parmesan to be a little more saucy. The waffle fries were lukewarm, which is honestly the main reason I stopped ordering them whenever I eat at Pluckers. It doesn't seem to matter which location I visit--the waffle fries never seem fresh and often taste like they've been sitting under the heat lamp for too long. Now, onto the wings. I actually enjoyed them overall. The Buffalo Hot was surprisingly spicy and definitely caught me off guard. It had some serious heat to it, although the wings themselves could have been hotter temperature-wise. The lemon pepper had a nice rub with a good amount of seasoning, and those wings were piping hot. The ranch wings, however, were disappointing. They tasted pretty plain, almost as if they rushed through seasoning them, because I could barely taste any ranch at all. Those wings were also piping hot, which I found interesting because all of the wings came out at the same time, yet the Buffalo wings were noticeably less hot. At the end of our meal, Jaz asked if I wanted to sign up for their membership. It's $10 for six months, and from what I understood, you get something free every time you dine in. I eventually decided to sign up, but unfortunately, once she scanned the barcode on my phone, my email apparently didn't exist in their system, and I still wasn't able to log in. Jaz went ahead and took down my information--name, email, and phone number--and brought it to a manager to get the issue fixed. I was told it would be resolved within 24 hours. Unfortunately, even the following day, I still couldn't access my membership, and the system continued telling me that my email didn't exist. So now I'm sitting here wondering... am I paying $10 for a membership I can't even access? I'm hoping someone from the restaurant reaches out and gets this resolved because I'd definitely like to use the benefits I paid for. I will give Jaz credit for one thing: she did take the Holy Macaroni off the bill, just as she promised she would once I signed up for the membership. I appreciate her following through on that. Overall, while I appreciate Jaz's efforts, the service was simply too slow. It took about 45 minutes for my wings to come out, which was frustrating. On top of that, the membership issue added another layer of inconvenience to the experience. That said, the food wasn't bad, and I'd be willing to give this location another chance. Hopefully, the service improves and the membership issue gets resolved. Parking is plentiful. (Not sure how this review went to "not recommended" when everything I said was from my experience) but I'm gonna be heard so I'll repost it again. read more

This place is so fun! Being able to join the waitlist online is such a good plus!! I love the atmosphere it's like a sports bar but family friendly and they even do trivia night on Wednesdays that I've heard are super fun. The servers are super friendly and helpful and they are always near if you need something. The food comes out at a pretty good rate and I think they make everything to order so it's not like instant tho. The wings are a really good size, not small at all. The gochujang was really good, a nice sweet spicy, but I feel like the spicy ranch was okay. It was a little spicy but couldn't really taste the ranch flavor. Great wings cooked well with multiple flavor options. We sat at the bar and watched the games. This place is usually always crowded but I never have to wait long to sit or be seated. Full bar with draft beers available but it is definitely a family friendly atmosphere! We ordered the 15 piece wings that came with waffle fries. Waffle fries were warm and not hot. For our appetizer we chose the fried cheese. Too much cheese for me but fried well. I can see why it's called fried cheese and not mozzarella sticks. As someone relatively new to the Pluckers experience (#1) and the furthest thing from a wing enthusiast, I came away relatively impressed with this Meyerland location. It's a massive establishment with abundant everything: parking, people, and naturally, wings. There are TVs everywhere. If it's Tuesday evening (#2), then it's suddenly families and children left and right. Otherwise it's a common hangout for sports fans and locals from the neighborhood. Waits are not much of an issue; more often times there are more seats than people. The place even smells like fried food. But regarding the latter, my lemon pepper and buffalo wings were a tinge on the small side and the waffle fries were stale. I love that Macaroni and cheese is a hard pass, as it was a cup of slop and watered down. The wing sauces are a treat, especially the battle goldrush, maple chipotle, and vampire killer. I also love the massive 32 oz cups of water. (#3) Service is lukewarm at best. It was the one area despite the subpar food that I couldn't bring myself to appreciate. This location is right off the 610 loop in the Meyerland plaza. Get there by using the feter road because the next exit will take you too far. even though it's tucked away in a corner of the plaza it is usually jam packed and the environment inside is jumping. the staff is usually pretty good about seating and serving but for faster service get in line ahead of time. the wings and other food always come out hot and fresh. You should stop in for a good lunch or dinner or just grab a drink at the bar and catch a game! read more

We enjoyed the great service provided by Porche and the food which was naked wings. My wife and i both ordered off the lunch menu. 8 wings and 2 sauces on the side and some free celery and 1 side. Wifey picked the tater tots and i went wit' the waffle fries. The tots were our clear favorite. The sauces i picked had some spicy heat, cajun and gochujang. My wife got the honey bbq sauce....both meals showed up wit' some ranch, glad it did 'cause it relieved some of my sauces heat. We had some leftovers and they do a good job of providing togo containers and even providing lids for our sauces. Porche even asked if we wanted togo waters...great friendly service. I swung by here on a late lunch break and the place was predictably pretty empty. Since I was by myself, I opted for the bar rather than a table. The bartender only had about 4-5 customers and was clearly more focused on getting cleared up and either out of there (or ready for the dinner rush?) than those of us at the bar. I ordered a sweet tea, which I've gotten before from three other locations. This one tasted like it was designed to give you instant diabetes. It was so sickeningly sugary, I'm surprised it was fully liquid. I had to order a replacement regular tea just to dilute it to a manageable level. Of course, my refill came back sickeningly sweet as well, so I just left it untouched. The rest of my lunch was relatively uneventful until the end. Food came out as ordered and tasted as good as anywhere else I've been to. The next issue arose when I went to pay. I loaded a reward on my phone to show to the bartender and she's literally grabbing the phone out of my hand to scan the code because she couldn't be bothered to maneuver her device to read the code. I don't respect waitstaff that do that. If you'd like me to hand over my phone, just ask. I will most likely never come back here. It's a much better experience at the Memorial City and Stafford locations. read more

Poor overall First let's start with a wait time: Told us 30 min. - took 53minutes and never advised us or gave us a courtesy call. Managers lily and Alex need training on how to talk to customers. Waiters has to many tables and open dirty table would help seat customer waiting. Salads came out with wrong dressing (blue cheese instead of ranch) and we had poured it into salad, waiter never came back to check on us if everything was ok. Appetizer sampler arrived and no plates given, we walk over ourselves to get them. Beer ordered from bar came after 14 minutes ( bar is next to our table) Told us there was 5 choice wings on 50 wings special, so we gave 5 choices and they charged us for them, which we were not told. Paid tab and wanted to do survey and manager rushed over and deleted it. I told her I wanted survey and she stated "nobody ever looks at those". I told her that was fine but I still wanted it. After 3 hours we were finally let go from the bad service, customer care and non communicative managers. Poor place, save yourself the headache go elsewhere. I would live for district/geberal manager or franchisee to contact me so we could talk on how to better operate and retain customers. read more

I have been to Pluckers in Meyerland about five times or so, and Pluckers in general close to 10 times. Their newest location is located right off of 610, and makes for a convenient stop for me and my buddy for dinner after we play tennis in the area. They have a large parking lot, and it can get busy, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (4.5/5): Pretty much what you would expect from a wings bar. Lots of seating, a bar area, and lots of TVs. It makes for a great spot to watch games, and they do typically have the sound on for Houston sports and for other big events like Monday Night Football. With the number of TVs everywhere, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. Service (3/5): I have had varying levels of service at Pluckers, but generally, it's pretty good. They may not come around as often as you would like, but they do a decent job. You also pay using those handheld devices. The tip that's calculated on the devices includes tip and doesn't show you the pre-tax amount. Other handheld devices show the pre-tax amount. A bit of a pet peeve of mine. I like to make sure my order is correct before I pay. Here, you have to proactively ask for an itemized receipt or they will just show you the total amount and not what you ordered. Drinks (3.5/5): Most of the time, I just order a soft drink: either a sweet tea or a lemonade. They do make them in house, so that's always nice. Outside of that, it's a full bar with the typical assortment of drinks you find at a chain. Food (4.5/5): Pluckers has the best wings for a chain I've ever had. I like them so much that they are in my top 5, likely top 3, in Houston. The wings are a good size, they are crispy on the outside, and succulent on the inside. Their Gold Rush flavor is also unique to Pluckers and it's a delicious and tangy sauce. That's always my go-to, but I do like the variety. Their teriyaki is solid, too. I've also tried their lemon pepper, but it's too salty for my taste. I like the lemon pepper at Wingstop a lot better. I always order my wings extra wet for a small surcharge. Along with an order of waffle fries to balance the bone-in wings. Love me some crispy waffle fries. If you're looking for a deal, and you stop by frequently, consider becoming a Pluckers Club member to get discounts on food, birthday hook-ups, and more. They also have various daily specials, so that's another way to get some bang for your buck. I stopped going to the location on Shepherd because it's always packed and there's almost always a wait on the weekends or during a major sporting event. With this location being newer and larger, you don't have that problem. read more

Ahhh Pluckers. Everytime you step foot into a Pluckers, you know what you're getting: Large beers, plenty of TVs, a fun wait staff, and a packed house for a big game. And of course the food, specifically the wings! As a long time Pluckers Club member, I enjoy the perks of checking into different locations and trying to hit challenge benchmarks for rewards and free eats. Fortunately I got to check in here for the UH vs FL men's college championship game. We had a party of 12+ where wings and beers were ordered aplenty. Also did some loaded fries for the table which people loved too. Wings are top tier at this location, just like others. The goldrush is my go-to and you can't go wrong with the traditional buffalo (medium) or the cajun dry rub. I always get wings and beer when I'm at one of their locations, I'll need to try their burgers or chicken sandwiches as well for variety. This location has plenty of parking (thank god) plus large patio seating and of course, that big bar inside with all the tvs. Glad Pluckers has one at this area off of 610 which is not far from where I'm from! read more

THIS IS NOT A THOUGHTLESS 1-STAR This particular Pluckers has consistently provided some of the worst service and food quality I've had. Today (10/18) was my third and last visit. I ordered online around noon for a 5:00 PM pickup and received the confirmation email. When I arrived just before 5, staff couldn't find my order. I showed the email to a manager and another employee. After about 20 minutes, I was told they would remake the order and comp it. Twenty minutes later [~5:45 pm], a second manager asked to see the email again, took a photo, and said they didn't receive the order. I was told I "should have" gotten a 4:45 PM error email (I did not) and that I would now be charged full price after being told it would be comped. At their suggestion I checked my bank, no charge was pending, but I still had to pay for an order that was nearly an hour late. [It wasn't lost on me that they sent a women less than half my size to deliver this news. I wasn't about to get into the justifiable argument with her as the optics would not have been good, and it's my belief they knew that.] When I got home (7 minutes away), the fries were ice cold and covered in a sauce I didn't request, yet I was charged for it. I was also charged a "packing fee" after standing in the lobby for an hour past the promised pickup time. I had people waiting on me, and because of the spice and temperature issues, most of the meal went uneaten. Unbelievably bad experience. The service is horrible. We sat at the bar and ordered 2 drinks and chips and queso. Our 2 drinks came and then we waited 25 minutes for queso, all they have to do is pour it in a bowl. My boyfriend and I are frequent diners at Pluckers. We normally visit at least twice a month at various locations but mainly this location in Meyerland. As plucker reward members, it's incredibly sad to see how this location is declining overall every visit. As I have experienced many issues at this Meyerland location, my experience tonight was the worst by far at any plucker's location I've been to in Houston and Austin. First, we requested to sit outside and after five minutes had passed we were still not greeted even though multiple servers came on the patio to clean their tables. When we move to the bar for a quicker service, we were immediately greeted. However, after the appetizer came out, all three bartenders were more focused on cleaning the bar rather than providing exceptional service. Given that this location does not close till midnight, I'm unsure why the bartenders were cleaning around 9:50 PM when the bar was halfway full with guests. Over 20 minutes had passed since we received our appetizer and our wings still had not came out. Not one bartender had inquired about our food until we asked how much longer it would take. Our bartender told us that the food shows it's ready and that it should be out soon, but the food did not come out until at least five minutes after she said that it was ready. When we received our food, our food was cold And had little to no dry rub on the wings, although we were charged for and requested extra wet. When we requested that the wings be prepared correctly and ask for fresh fries the new set of food did not come out for an additional 20 minutes. Throughout that time, the manager did come and speak and apologize for the inconvenience as well as took care of our wings. However, the service provided by the bartenders still was less than average and dismissive. One bartender continue to mumble under her breath and response to my dissatisfaction to their service. The three bartenders continued to clean up the entire time while we dined. We continuously had to ask for their attention to receive items that we needed rather than them checking in to see if everything was going well. overall disappointing and poor service by the bartenders. read more

My roommate invited me and a couple classmates to Pluckers since they had a $1 wing event. They allow you to pick a flavor for every 10 wings. Ive only been to pluckers once a very long time ago but I remembered getting the bakers gold last time. I decided to try their garlic sriracha flavor. I had a sore in my mouth so it was kinda painful to eat on one side of my mouth but luckily they mainly gave me flats which was easier to eat than the drumsticks. The garlic sriracha is not really that spicy and the first few wings barely had any sauce on them. When I tried the ones at the bottom which was sitting in the sauce I could taste it more and it was honestly pretty good.
