We had the BEST waitress ever, her name was Courtney, I explained my whole deal to her and she knew exactly what to put me on. I wanted wings that were sweet and spicy and NOT vinegary. She suggested the boneless wings with maple chipotle sauce and it was awesome! She even told me to pair it with a drink called the psychedelic frog. It was delicious and my favorite color! I'm very disappointed in my last 4 visits here at pluckers since my last review. I'm not sure if there is a shortage of kitchen staff but the food and service is just not up to par. The food has been cold. These wings are "extra wet". The waitress came out with a side of sauce to try and accommodate. We were in on a recent Friday night about 11pm. We hadn't eaten and were wanting food and drinks. Not having many options for food at that hour with drinks, we chose to check out Pluckers. We'd been into an Austin location but it'd been a few years. Upon walking in we noticed that it was really brightly lit with sterile colored walls. Obvious sports decor and frames hang on the walls but look weird with the dull color. Multiple large TVs hang on every wall. It would be hard not to have a good view of at least one tv. Our bartender was polite but didn't give off a friendly/welcoming vibe. They seemed preoccupied by closing down the bar and doing cleaning procedures while we sat at the bar which we found to be kind of annoying and also contributed to the unwelcome feeling. We ordered a round of drinks and were handed menus. We ordered two appetizers- the fried pickle spears and mozzarella sticks. Both were tasty! I personally prefer fried pickle spears verses sliced pickles. My husband ordered the club sandwich and I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was delicious but a tad on the spicy side. The bartender did ask me if I wanted "mild" sauce on the chicken to which I nodded yes. But I've gotta say if that's mild then the spicy would kill me!! I probably should've ordered it plain rather than any flavor at all. We ordered another round of drinks while we ate. Overall the experience wasn't terrible. However, I was not impressed with the level of service! The bartenders seemed more content on cleaning and closing than making money. I doubt we'll return. read more

Of course they're always busy but every server we've had has always served us with a smile on their face (well under their mask). The place was getting a little busy,we chose to dine outside and then it turned freezing cold. We weren't able to get a table inside until we had already finished our meal. The only reason I've returned to this location is because my friends wanted to try the wings- I've been to this location at least 5 times now and STILL disappointed. I really like this one. Their wings have lots of meat on them. The sauces are extremely good. They have every flavor you could dream of and some you could never imagine. So many choices and I did notice they had choices other than chicken. This is a really good place to grab some wings and watch the game. TVs are everywhere. All have a perfect picture too. Beer is ice cold which is a must with hot wings. Service was amazing! Our waitress was amazing. She brought us all kinds of sauces for to try. Dropped in on a Friday night. My wife and daughter agreed it sounded good for a Friday Astro's Night. The wait time was a little excessive for a Friday evening, But after 45 minutes we were seated. Our waitress was pleasant and we got a traditional welcome and first drink order. We didn't want our dinner's fired too soon so we ordered a few appetizers with our drinks to watch some of the game before we ordered. This is about when it all went sideways. First: The Drink I ordered was the sweetest syrup ever. No hint of alcohol or barely any ice. My wife likes overly sweet, so she took it. I was going to order a shot when the appetizers arrived. And we waited. It was just nacho fries and a small order of dry rub wings. And we waited, I was thirsty. Astros were winning. Where had our waitress gone? Did she have six tables on the other side of the place where we could not see? A food runner eventually arrived with our appetizers. It was obvious they sat under the heat lamps a long time. Although I had been to this place known for wings on a few previous occasions, this was indeed my first try at their wings. I want to note, as a kid growing up around the dairy farms and cattle ranches, we would take chips off the salt blocks to suck on. The wings had more salt than those salt blocks. Not to mention the heat lamps made sure these things were not mistaken for anything other than "Dry Rub" Somewhere in the punishment of trying to eat this stuff, the waitress made it by just long enough to get my "Jack on the Rocks" order. We thought we might shoot for an entree when she brought the drink back. She never showed. Just a runner. We waited again. Drinks now empty. Game was nearing the 7th. The manager passed and asked how everything was. I told her it wasn't good. She offered to Comp dinner. We were tired and figured we could get out of this place and find a drive thru for better results. Left a $2 tip as a gesture. We had the WORST experience here at the Webster location unfortunately on the evening of Nov 20. My husbands surprise birthday dinner was ruined. The manager was very rude and had an attitude with my family. We were planning a surprise party for my husband and there was over 10 family members there at pluckers waiting for his arrival. They got there early. The staff took forever to give them a table. The manager told my mother if she sat down and more people came that they wouldn't Add another table? What in the world?! I worked in restaurants before I have NEVER heard of that. The manager finally gave my family a table AT THE BAR area with high tables. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that small children and an 80 year old woman should probably NOT sit in that area. Once we made the manager aware of that she said we should have requested to sit somewhere else and that if we wanted to sit somewhere else we would need to get back on the list.
