Used to be a great location. The last couple of times we've eaten there the service has been bad. There are entirely too many people at the host stand that leave you standing around, no greeting, no offer of asking how many people are in your party. Even when ordering to go, no me acknowledges you, they stand around talking to each other. The food is great when it's correct but lately we've had so many incorrect orders, both dine in and take out. They used to take care to make sure everything was correct and food would be a great temperature. Really disappointed in this location. read more

I can't believe that I received a reply with an apology and reason of why they were out of lemon pepper but nothing on how we were treated or their service. I mentioned, in my review, how we were upset with the service and attitude of several members of the staff after waiting an hour to sit , and after we ordered appetizers and drinks and no one ever mentioned to us that they were out of lemon pepper. That would be good to know, when all you eat is lemon pepper and that is the reason you go there to eat. We did get an apology for the lemon pepper. Nothing about the service. I even emailed them to give them the opportunity to do so. Nothing. Not an apology or even a reply. This place always has a wait so today when we were passing by & it didn't look crowded we stopped. No wait. At least no wait for a table. I ordered the Cobb salad & my husband the boneless basket. Over half an hour later we finally got food. His boneless tenders were over cooked & dry. The cheese fries were so soaked in cheese he really needed dry fries to soak up some of the wet. My first visit at this location. My disappointment is that I saw advertised the Chicken thighs. I have gone to 2 locations and no Thighs to be found. Damn my mouth was fired up for the Chicken Thighs. Loud as usual, for that reason I have one been to Pluckers twice before. I haven't been to Pluckers in awhile so I decided to head over there for dinner. I was tired and definitely hungry!!! I came with the BF and we ordered 15 wings plus some waffles fries. The wait time for the food wasn't too bad for the weekend. However, when the food came out everything was strangely cold. I was too hungry so I didn't bother to complain. I ate 2 wings. My BF who usually is not a complainer neither couldn't take the fact that the wings and fries were cold. It wasn't even warm. He waved a waiter over and told him the situation. The party of two next to us at the bar had the same issue but didn't voice their concern until they overheard our conversation. They thought it was just them with the cold food. The issue was resolved though because they brought us a new batch of wings that you can actually see some steam coming off from the plate. But still how can you have advertisements on the TV at the bar that your stuff is made fresh but serve customers wings that have been just sitting around. Either hire more staffs to bring out food as soon as they are made or actually do a better job of staging how their food is made fresh. Despite the bad experience, I've always liked Pluckers. My two favorites is the spicy garlic Parmesan and the spicy lemon pepper. The spiciness level seems mild to me which is perfect. Hopefully, we will get "hot" food next time on the first try which is what they should strive to do. read more

I actually worked at the original Pluckers in Austin when it was the Only Pluckers. So I was excited about the new franchises and especially one so close to me. I'll start with the good. Their wings (Pluckers in general) are always bigger than any other wing place. They have a very large selection of sauces. And their prices are great considering the amount of food they give you. If you want to find a game or fight playing, you will find it there or they will find it for you. Now the bad Both times I've gone the host or hostess seamed to be annoyed and a little pissed that that they had to take me to my table. One never even looked at me or my friend during the whole interaction. The quality of the sauces and food has gone way down I'm sad to say. The server I had last time I only saw three times. To order, drop food and drop check. I don't know if it was the servers or the kitchen but both time took over an hour for 2 people to get and eat chicken sandwiches. I still crave the food from time to time. But I think I'll wait until I go visit Austin to have it again. read more

Apparently there is a wing shortage, which causes them to raise the price on their wings. The food was really good though, so im still giving them a decent rating, even though they messed up my order at this location, but they made it right in the end. Went there on a reservation. I got called when I was in the parking lot and was asked if we wanted an outside seating I said no. Well when I got the message my table was ready a hour later, they escorted us outside. I told the young lady I requested inside. She said well this is all we got. And walked away. So we ordered. If you haven't already noticed I am a regular at this joint and for pretty good reason - WING WING WING! No that's not your phone ringing, it's my favorite menu item. I typically do a 10-pc combo because I can choose a dry rub and a wet rub or something sweet paired with something spicy... My new favorite flavor is the kochujang (which I'm guessing some people spell with a 'K' instead of a 'G' because it's Korean red pepper paste?) anyhoo- I recently got those along with the garlic parmesan dry rub which there's nothing "dry" about it, but sooo tasty! Or I'll get classic buffalo and lemon pepper or... you get the idea. I always get the sweet potato waffles fries and ask for the sugar/cinnamon seasoning on the side because I think they are a lil too heavy handed when it's tossed all together. The blue coconut (frozen) is a nice tropical twist on an otherwise pedestrian cocktail, but I generally enjoy their beers on tap. Jade is our regular bartender and she is a HOOT! OK, so pluckers is very good like the food is always on point, drinks are always good, but what I've noticed is the last few times that I do go is that we receive our appetizers the same time we get our entrées. Our server kept on saying thank you that we were so patient but we didn't have a choice. We would need something and have to ask other servers to get it for us. It's either our entrée gets cold or our appetizer and I really don't want to have to eat cold, tater tots or chicken wings. read more

I decided to add another star because it seems as if management is actively seeking a solution to their problems. After seeing this review, Pluckers management 'Yelp-messaged' me and said that they had conveyed this incident to their GM and seemed to honestly want to fix & identify the solutions for this issue... Pluckers pretty much needs to dramatically step up their server game, because this spot could easily become the area's go-to watering hole. Its amazing when the establishment has seats available and the 11 seats without anyone sitting in the chairs at the bars and were told that they have to have three chairs between each group however across the bar there are only two seat between parties ....I thought would give it a try but might be last stop Not sure what happened with the management team. We have given this place 4 chances now. Each time we have had TERRIBLE service. The food is great, if they put your order in. The waiters we have had have all been completely incompetent. It shouldn't take 10 minutes to order drinks for 4 people - milk, sprite, Diet Coke and a dressed Corona draft. We were shocked when those came out correctly since we had to repeat that at least 3 times. Then food came, and my husband's food was nowhere to be seen. The waiter argued that that was all we had ordered. And then suggested it was a glitch in his device after we reminded him that my husband did in fact order food. Also, apparently the restaurant is out of knives, so it was very difficult to eat my tenders with just a fork. Requested a manager and he had to track down a knife for me so that I could eat my food. He did comp my husbands forgotten food after being reminded they he said he would. Just a terrible experience. Like I said we gave them 4 Chances, the others obviously weren't as bad - just having to remind waiters a LOT about requested things, not being able to find them after waiting for a while, etc. nothing as bad as forgetting an entire order of food. For online order & pickup, 10/10 service. If you plan on stopping in on a busy night, the waitlist feature on Yelp is unreliable. I hopped in line with a 45 min wait time while on the road. When I arrived I was told that I had been passed for not showing up. The actual wait time was closer to 15 minutes. With that being said, be close if you choose to use the waitlist feature. With the Pluckers Club membership, we wanted to take advantage of the free birthday meal. Sunday evening had a long wait time of 45-60 min, but thank goodness for the Waitlist function from the Yelp app, we checked-in from the house and arrived to physically wait only 5 min at the storefront. There was plexiglass separating all the booths and about every other table was in use, in addition to more plexiglass separating the front desk. True to their sports bar vibe, music and TV commentary was blaring from all directions, you basically have to shout to each other in your party and with the waitstaff. Normally, that's not a problem, but shouting during COVID is not favorable. As noted earlier, they spaced out parties to limit capacity, but somehow it still felt cramped; this experience may have been the most cramped and crowded I've felt going out since the pandemic started. Thankfully, the food and service remain unchanged by the pandemic: folks are very friendly and food comes out quick and tasty. read more

Great food and place!!! My wife and I came by for a lunch about 1:15 after this new location had been only open for a couple of weeks. (In Webster). We expected a horribly long wait given the number of cars in the lot and at peak time. Extremely pleasantly surprised at having only had to wait a couple of minutes! Also love the fact that you can track your wait time via the Yelp app is really nice for grumpy folks like me. What I really liked about the place was the focus on the chicken vs. just fried: The boneless wings are more like small fried chicken breasts, very moist and tender and full of flavor with a wide selection of sauces. Tots are also nice! Huge portions wrt the boneless wing plate, too. 3 pieces is plenty to feed you and I ended up bringing the third one home. They have a Pluckers Club you can sign up for also ($20) and we signed up for that, so I'm curious to see what that entails us to. My wife also really appreciated that they have a teacher's special on Friday nights (free appetizers). Our server (Mauricio) was also outstanding, polite, and went above and beyond. I went to Pluckers a lot when I lived in Austin. I'm happy to see they started opening them up in Houston. I love that they have a plethora of flavors, and they'll let you try any other them before you order. You'll be waiting a while if there's a big game on. But the plus side is there are TV's everywhere. So many in fact I'm surprised there aren't any in the bathrooms. The breading on the boneless wings (which are really just chicken tenders) are great. It has that chic-fil-a style coat. My favorite sauces are Hallelujah, lemon pepper, and ranch (for the dry). I'm not a particular fan of the cajun dry. It was too overpowering for my taste. sweet potato waffle fries were excellent. Aaaaand they have spicy sriracha ketchup. I'm not saying I thought about swiping one, but I'm not saying I didn't either. Sometimes the atmosphere can get a little loud to where you can't hear your party. But I mean, you're at a sports bar. That's to be expected. Sometimes I don't feel they add enough sauce, so I get them extra wet. If you really like spicy flavor I would get fire-in-the-hole as a side flavor so you can control the amount of spiceness in each bite. And for vegetarians, they have that impossible burger that's supposed to taste like 'meat.' I keep wanting to try that, but I always end up ordering wings. We came in early yesterday, never been much of a wing person so I wasn't excited to come. Everyone swears by it though. Loved the restaurant vibe, everyone was so nice. We had the BEST waitress ever, her name was Courtney, I explained my whole deal to her and she knew exactly what to put me on. I wanted wings that were sweet and spicy and NOT vinegary. She suggested the boneless wings with maple chipotle sauce and it was awesome! She even told me to pair it with a drink called the psychedelic frog. It was delicious and my favorite color! She was great, attentive, all while keeping up with her other customers. She's an absolute gem! Food was good and can't wait to try something different.
