Went to watch the World Cup game and ordered the flat bread Texan. It was a brisket & cheese pizza and it did not disappoint!! Service was great and had a refill when I needed one. Atmosphere was energetic and was very family friendly. Kids had an area to play while the adult could supervise from a table away. Had the wings on Tuesday and that night it is BOBO free wings. This place has really gone downhill. Long story short. I stopped by for a beer 6pm on a Friday (today). No greeting at the front door, no greeting at the bar, I order a dos xx, they bring it with no lime (they didn't even ask), I ask for limes, they bring me a giant glass full of limes (hint dont bother us anymore), I ask for napkins cause they don't bring any, I had a total of 3 beers, my tab is $9 plus in tax, about $9.75. I was going to leave $15, so about $5.25 for tip, but then I deem that too much for the poor service. I place a $20 on my receipt, they have the gal to ask me if I want change. Yes I want change for a $20 on a $9 tab, especially cause the service was poor. I get my change, $10 even, this is not all my change. Not even thank you or anything. I decide that the waitress kept the tip she wanted by not giving me the entirety of my change. Some may even call this theft. What would boomer jacks call it if I didn't pay my full tab? Great time having dinner with the family. They were very busy and a large car show was going on in the parking lot. Our waitress Symphony was amazing. She was so good with our grandchildren. You really don't find great service like this as often as you might think. She treated us like family. I got the Smash Burger and Fries. Both delicious and served hot and fast. Even as busy as they were the food came out faster than expected. Beer was ice cold ( both of them) and was on special because it was a Big Beer Thursday. We are new to the area. Really wanted to like this restaurant w/ the great bar & sports-bar vibes. Came a few times & have noticed after 9pm turns into "club" non-family friendly entertainment. Bar is usually not cleaned so unsure how the kitchen is kept. Could make major improvements by changing the music & cleaning up more. Hope to try it again in about a year! read more

Another new eatery in the Clear Lake area that has been on my radar for quite some time. I decided to have dinner here to end the Thanksgiving holiday weekend last night. When I entered the restaurant, I was surprised to find it not too crowded. Finding a seat didn't even take a second. The next thing that caught my attention was the dining area had so many TVs, with a huge one right in the center. I thought to myself, I ought to come back some time to catch a game. Okay, let's discuss edibles. For my inaugural meal here, I selected the grilled chicken platter. Aside from my favorite poultry, the plate also consisted of mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. It was to me likely the healthiest item on the menu, which isn't a bad thing. Though not life-changing great and could've been a little bigger portions wise, the entree and the side dishes were delicious. I capped off my first visit here with some fried Oreos. And let me tell you, my eyes bulged out when I saw the plate handed to me. You need another person to help you finish it. I could see myself coming back here, and maybe just maybe my current rating of four stars will go up a notch. read more

The place was empty with all the waitresses standing at the end of the bar. Bartender seemed bothered to wait on me. Ordered a Diet Coke and it was mostly syrup. She swapped it for a tea. Ordered a wagu burger for lunch and a burger to go. The lunch order come out cold. And cheese wasn't even melted on the burger. Fries were cold. I understand now why the place is empty. Came here for lunch with my friend and her 2 year old daughter! I got the fajita chicken wrap it was delicious, nothing out of the ordinary than a grilled chicken wrap you could get anywhere else but it was perfect and just what I wanted! The fries are Fire! My friends daughter got cheese pizza I ate a slice it was okay, my friend got a lemon pepper chicken with veggies and mashed potatoes and she loved it! She said how good it was a few times! My fiancé and I came in for dinner last night and had a disappointing experience. We ordered drinks and an appetizer right away, but our drinks sat at the bar for quite a while before someone else brought them out. Our server was standing and talking to the manager for a long time while we were still waiting to order, so it definitely didn't seem busy. Our food (chicken wrap and burger) came out soggy, and she never checked back on us. We eventually had to ask the host to find her just to get our check. Unfortunately, we won't be back. read more

First off the food here especially the burgers have a weird texture and flavor to the meat and the bacon is definitely not cooked all the way and it smells raw . The staff here how do I say this they need to have less showy clothes to wear it's definitely uncomfortable for em to wear especially when there under the age of 20. I get it it's called boomer jacks but working in a restaurant where most of your customers are old men and young adults wearing showy clothes that definitely makes it uncomfortable to wear around older people is just not cool and not what the times are about . Plus the prices here aren't worth paying for because every item and drinks and food is not worth it and definitely is unappealing and tastes like trash . I used to like this place; good service, never felt over crowded and great value. Tried to go Friday December 12th and just all felt frustratingly bad. I arrived with my mom who has mobility issues. First we were walked past the two low tables we usually sit at and past all the other empty tables all the way to the rear most part of the restaurant right up against the kitchen entrance. This table was elevated and uncomfortable for my mom because her legs would not touch the floor. Our waiter offered to get us a table lower than this. She disappears. Mom and I wait. We finally walk back up to the front of the restaurant and are asked if we want a lower table....yes! We are then lead over to the opposite back corner of the restaurant right next to a group of kids playing around with some basket balls. I get mom seated into a plastic chair that kept trying to move out from under her due to how light it was. Waitress took our drink orders. Mom can not currently have caffeinated drinks at night but wanted a soda. I asked what sodas were available with no caffeine and was told all of Boomer Jack's sodas have caffeine. No Sprite? Odd. Mom got lemonade, I ordered a beer. Started looking over the restyled revamped menu. No "just a burger" burger option any more. With all the kids playing and associated noise I could not talk to my mom well at all which only grew my and mom's frustration. We decided to leave but the drinks had already arrived. I got mom up and started the now long slow walk back to the front door. Only cash i had was a twenty so i gave that to our waitress to cover the drinks. Bad seating with limited tables with accommodating seating. Jazzed up menu that does not have favorites anymore and either they do not offer non caffeine sodas or the wait staff does not know what caffeine is. I will not be returning. Boomer Jack's Grill, first meal and review I have to say was one of my worst experiences. This is all about the food, we shared a burger plate with brisket nachos. The pictures look a heck of a lot better than the quality of the food. The burger was dripping in grease and the fries were so limp, well, you get it, so limp they were useless. I know, a burger is not supposed to be healthy, this is the worst I've had in a very long time. The nachos, get a bag of the cheap chips from HEB, get a bag of cut lettuce and pull some brisket that was left over from the weekend and you have the nacho plate. If you're thinking I missed some other ingredients, I didn't miss them, they just weren't used in the dish. If you are visiting the area, turn away from here. The waitress was friendly but I haven't seen her I awhile. Lots of TV's, if you're stopping for a beer I don't think that would be messed up, just don't order the food. Our group of 6 came in on Sunday after church for lunch. It was the first time here for all of us. We were seated right away. We all enjoyed our food and the special $5 margaritas. We loved the decor and the giant TVs. The service and especially our waitress Taylor was great. We go out as a group, usually a little larger, every Sunday. We'll definitely be back.
