First time I called this company loved the service and specific plumber who came and fixed my issue was incredibly knowledgeable. Second time they send in some bouncy cracked out looking guy, who came over, turned a valve and told me my situation was hopeless it will be 5,000$ to fix and his 30 second "investigation" which led to no probable cause besides changing entire system, cost $200. 2 minute youtube video and $50 parts later and my issue has been resolved. How sad. Especially for elderly or people with no mechanical inclination stay far far away. Type of technician to see a clogged toilet and tell you to change your whole house plumbing. I understand certain businesses have pros and cons but one of them that I personally cannot stand is a RIPOFF. Don't enjoy writing bad reviews but I have been violated so that others don't have to be. read more

We called Active plumbing at around 6 o'clock last night. Told them what the issue was and they had a tech out here first thing this morning. The tech Tony did a great job. It was not an easy fix, but everything was accomplished in a professional timely and efficient manner and the pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them. read more

Just a heads up. I called Active about a water line leak. I scheduled an appointment for 1:30. At 2pm I called and I was told they forgot to put me on their schedule. They sent someone out right away.The tech told me that he wouldn't be able to find the leak unless I replaced a gate valve for $890. I told him that I have AWR insurance, and he told that they don't accept that. He also said that they don't repair water lines, they just replace them. Wish they would have told me that before they came out because I gave them a $250 voucher. read more

I'm 61 years old. Had a leak in my main water line, 5th or 6th one in 5 years. Rented a trencher ran a whole new line. Finish turned it on and the only place it leaked was the one spot I had to sweat (weld). My water had been off for 6 days. The 1st plumber to respond I waited all day for they kept responding right away via email saying they were dispatched and on their way. Active Plumbing & A/C Inc. was the 2nd plumber to respond, saying they could come after 4pm. I waited all day for the 1st plumbing company who still have not called or showed up. Turns out I was corresponding with Artificial Intelligence via email, not a real person. At 6pm on a Sunday I called Active Plumbing and A/C back. Whoever answered and dispatched Tony to my house was a real person. Tony was there in less than 3 hours. I was quoted $69 service fee plus $350 for the repair. I could not pay that amount. Tony contacted his office and got approval to do the job for $175 total. He was done by the time I returned from the bank on the corner to get the cash to pay him. Very professional and kind. We have used their air conditioner services twice, no problem there. Signed up for the service plan. My wife called for plumbing issues while I was away, she was over charged for what was done and the issues she called for were NOT even touched. $400 for a flapper and a sticker on the float valve. The wax ring I replaced and saw that flapper was $7 at Home Depot. We will not be renewing our service plan. read more

Two months ago I had water coming through my downstairs air vent with no idea why or how. Active showed up within the hour to help and they fixed the seal. Then, today, my shut off valve would NOT shut the water off. So I called them again, and sure enough Isaac was here within the hour to replace it. The job was quick. The price was fair. If anyone has ever had their hot water heater rupture, leaving 110+° water spewing into their garage, you know what a pain thai is, especially on a Sunday morning. Just getting a plumber is almost impossible, but without an exorbitant extra weekend rate, it's next to impossible, unless, you call ACTIVE PLUMBING. I called at just after 8 AM, and we had a new water heater before noon. NO SURCHARGE, and for a better price than the local "Big Box" store. (In the Las Vegas area the trades people sometimes don't even bother to show up, and not even a phone call.) Unbeknownst to me, the tech that was sent was actually the owner. ****BEWARE**** Worst service EVER. Got scammed for the service fee. The pilot light went out in my water heater. My mom had replaced the unit while I was out of town a year and a half ago, and unfortunately, she's no longer with us so I don't know which company she used. The tech from ACTIVE came out and took one look and said since it's under warranty (which I knew) and that I should call the person who installed it. I explained the situation and he then advised that I should call the manufacturer (Rhemm). My husband had mentioned that it was probably the thermo coupling, so I asked the technician what the price would be to fix it. Without hesitation he said, "$700." I know for a fact this service is less than $300 (this same service was done on the water heater in our rental in California ). I then asked the tech if he could at least light the pilot light and verify it was the coupling. He said, "Sure, for $250." $250 TO LIGHT THE PILOT LIGHT?! I was alone in the house and felt very uncomfortable. I figured it would be best to pay the $69 and send the scam artist on his way since he had no intention of diagnosing the problem. I gave him the cash and he left. No diagnosis. No receipt. NOTHING. Again, he wouldn't even light the pilot light to diagnose the problem, so what was the $69 for?? My advice--stay far, far away from this company. I called Rhemm and they confirmed that the water heater was under warranty but I would need to pay the labor, but that the part was very cheap. They gave me the number of another plumbing company who quoted me $150 labor, and $30 for the coupling. The whole job was $180, but I ended up paying these scammers an extra $69 for absolutely nothing. I made sure to let Rhemm know exactly what this company so they would never recommend them. read more

Carl was upfront and honest about my plumbing issues he did not want to price gouge me. He did warn me about costly repairs if I did had a leak beneath the slab. He also recommended future projects to avoid similar or worst issues. Was not pushy sales rep but more of a service rep, the "let me help you rep". SCAMMERS! Be Ware. Called and asked to have a Bidet installed. Told me normally costs around $179 but obviously could be additional charges if there are parts required or anything unusual. Sounds fair, so I scheduled the appointment. Technician arrives and sees the Bidet is electrical. The price goes to $537. I explained an electrician has already been scheduled to install a socket in the restroom. All he would have to do is the normal install. He contacts a supervisor and he tells him not to lower the price. That's what it's costs if it's electrical. I said no and paid the $20 evaluation fee. I then installed the Bidet myself. It took me 22 minutes, required no tools and came with all the components required. It was a hose and two screws. These people saw that I lived in a nice neighborhood and had an expensive house. They tried to take advantage of us and that is unacceptable. I am very disappointed. read more

We had Active replace our water line which ended up being a total mess, they screwed up our sprinkler system a year ago and it still isn't working correctly. I should have listen to my instinct and not called them but I did thinking it shouldn't be that much to replace a kitchen faucet that we purchased. Boy was I wrong! When I called Carl tells me he can't tell me how much but it would be but they charge $69.00 for them to come out since there are so many different faucets. When the plumber gets here he tells me it will be $380.00. FOR WHAT!...I called Carl again and he says they have set prices and that is how much it would be. Well Carl, why couldn't you have told me that in the first place I would have said never mind. Instead now I am out $69.00. I will never call you again and will advise family and friends to stay away from this company. You need to get your crap together and tell people the true facts when they call. read more

Had a leak in our upstairs bathroom. Called active plumbing they came out and said it was the stop line coming from the back of the toilet and also leaking behind the shower valve. They wanted $1800 to replace the valve behind the shower and $300 to replace the line that was leaking behind the toilet. I thought the price for the valve was extremely excessive especially when I priced the unit at a plumbing warehouse for less than $100. I called precision plumbing for a second opinion and they came out and looked at the shower valve turned on the shower and said this valve is not leaking at all. Do not call this company to come to your house they will try to charge you for work that you don't need. This company has no integrity I could go on I'll stop right there. Buyer beware. read more

He offered several options. We decided to get a mini split unit installed. The installation went as promised. The work done by TL couldn't have been done any more professionally. He cleaned the area before he left and took away the trash. We were very pleased with TL's uplifting attitude and pleasant demeanor. The price was what we were quoted with out any hidden fees.
