They even shouldered part of the coordination with American Home Shield, which they did not have to do. I would put zero if possible. Todd came out 4 times for a leaking shower faucet due to the valve. The first time he arrived (Dec 31) early and threatened to leave if we were not there. Then he said he would be back in 2 days (Jan 2) and did not show up. The 2nd time he came (Jan 6) he arrived late outside of our "window" and broke the fixture removing it to replace the valve. He said to my husband he would be back on Jan 8th to change the faucet. He no showed again. On Jan 9th I called AHS and asked for a status update - he had never updated the ticket it still showed that we had a planned appointment on Jan 6th. He scheduled to come back Jan 11th, arrived with 2 other plumbers but not the right supplies. He did not send one of the others to the store while he worked instead he left a very bad installation with a faucet sticking out of the wall and a drywall hole and rescheduled us for Jan 14th. He no showed again on Jan 14th without any communication. We waited for 5 hours. He rescheduled the appointment to the 15th without communicating with us at all. I called AHS and asked for them to cancel and informed them we would not be working with Todd or anyone from Plumbing Pro Services, LLC. There is nothing PRO or MASTER about Todd's skills. read more

This company has terrible customer service. They confirmed my appointment via text the day before for an 8-12 PM window. I took off work and waited, but by 12:30 PM no one had shown up. When I checked my phone to call, I saw a text saying they rescheduled for the next day--no call, no confirmation. I called and got a message saying they'd call back ASAP. I left a voicemail and replied to their original text with the issue details so they'd bring the right supplies. Four hours passed with no response. When I called again, I was told several employees didn't show up. I explained I took time off and that a phone call--not a text--should have been made. Instead of an apology, I was talked down to and told this is how all businesses now communicate, using texts and AI would be the future. They were contracted through American Home Shield for a slowly draining bath tub. To their credit they were very prompt and easy to schedule. When they arrived they ran a snake down my drain, said they couldn't fix the problem and that what was wrong wasn't covered by AHS. They were in and out in less than a half hour and actually made my clog worse. A couple days later I got a text asking to rate their Service. I have them 0/5. Todd then called me and spent 5 minutes yelling at me for not respecting his 20 years experience as a master plumber. Worst customer experience I've ever had. Avoid at all costs! read more

The guy YELLED AT ME for requesting that they please try to be here within the next 3 hours to complete the appointment. So they couldn't keep a 7 hour appointment window. American Home Shield (AHS) has sent these guys out to our home three times in the last years, and the experience has always been bad. In 2022, my water heater started leaking and needed to be replaced. They made me send them pictures, then came out and looked at it in person. I thought that they would fix it, but instead, they refused and said that the heater was still under warranty, so I would first have to call Rheem to get an RA number. I argued that this was their job, and Todd was very rude and left. So I called Rheem, which admittedly took quite a while, and got the RA number and they finally came back and fixed it after a week without hot water. The installation itself was fine, but their extreme rudeness made it very clear that their customer was AHS, not us. In 2024, I had water leakage from a drain in my shower. Without spending much more than a minute, Todd "analyzed" that my shower pan was leaking and would need to be replaced, which they couldn't do because it would require removing tiles and basically redoing the whole shower. They said the plumbing itself was covered under AHS, but this was an "access problem", and that's not covered. I could call them to come back when all the tiles and everything had been removed. I asked him how he knew that the problem was the shower pan, and Todd referred to his many years as a "master plumber". Later, a good friend of ours looked at the problem. He's not a master plumber but likes to tinker, and over the course of several months, was able to fix the leak by working on the drain plumbing alone. So, Todd's "masterful" diagnosis was completely wrong. This month, the same water heater that Todd had replaced in 2022 broke again. AHS once again assigned these guys. I sent pictures in advance, and was told to call Rheem and get approved for replacement, which I did. However, when Todd came out, he claimed that my Rheem warranty covered not only parts but labor as well, and therefore he could not do the job as part of an AHS claim. I asked why he couldn't just do the job right then and there, since either AHS or Rheem should cover his labor, but he said that Rheem was notoriously bad at reimbursing for labor costs, so he couldn't do that and I would have to find someone else to do it through Rheem. He also sent me an excerpt from the Rheem warranty where supposedly it said that labor was covered. I didn't see where it said that and asked him to show me where, but he couldn't. I asked where he got the information that Rheem covered labor, and he said that he's a master plumber and has been doing this for years, so he knows. Then he left. I went through the Rheem website to find an approved installer and called them, and they told me that Rheem warranty doesn't cover labor. I called Rheem to confirm this, and they sent it to me in writing. Could it be that Todd really just doesn't know what he's talking about? I'm more inclined to think that he is doing this completely intentionally. The last two times he was already on the phone with the AHS dispatcher when he walked in, ready to give them his bogus diagnosis, collect his $75 trip fee, and leave. AHS is probably also pleased, since they end up paying less if he just declines the job rather than does any real work that he could charge for. At least from my experience, Todd's more of a master scam artist than a master plumber. Surely he'd be out of business a long time ago if he wasn't in cahoots with AHS. read more

They no showed to my appt after I took the day off to be here from 10-3 pm. They called and said they would come by if they had time if not I'd have to reschedule as they got tied up on another job. The plumber names Todd was really rude on the phone and told me I was not his boss and that I don't control his schedule when I told him they needed to make it happen today as I have been waiting for them. If there was "Zero" star, that's what this company deserved. I had contacted American Home Shield on Tuesday, 1/16/24 due to a bathtub faucet leak. Todd from Plumbing Pro Services came to check on Wednesday, 1/17/24. When Todd showed up,(he had this demeanor of being cocky and arrogant). I directed him to where the leak was and the first thing he said was, you're going to have to have the tiles removed and cut open the sink cabinet because the faucets were close to the cabinet and his tools will need to have access. I hesitated and after talking to Todd more if there were any other way, he said, that's the only way possible to ensure there's no leaks underneath the tub. Hmm. We then headed outside to where the water meter/valve was and showed me how to shut it off and then he called AHS. It was easy money for this guy. I paid $100 to AHS for his consultation that lasted 10 mins. After talking to Todd more, he wanted $650 to fix it, and started being rude and obnoxious. Todd kept saying, I'm a Master Plumber and have been doing this for years. There were times Todd was even laughing, smiling and didn't show any sympathy at all. Todd was the worst person I've ever dealt with. He lacks professionalism and compassion. Todd just didn't care at all. I can't believe AHS would hire someone like this guy. I'll be canceling my service with AHS for contracting these types of people. If you read the reviews online for 'Plumbing Pro Services in New Braunfels, TX, you'll understand what type of person Todd is. Pathetic! Beware of this company, he just wants your money. I ended up calling another plumber and NOT use AHS. The plumber replaced the 'cartridge and the cartridge nut' and fixed the leak problem without removing any tiles and cutting a hole in the sink cabinet. read more

Todd - the owner of Plumbing Pro Services - was caught uncomfortably between a rock and a hard place when our contracted warranty company (American Home Shield) repeatedly made errors and caused delays in our water heater repair and replacement, causing us major inconvenience and out of pocket expense. Despite it not being his fault or responsibility, Todd jumped through hoops to expedite our service the moment he could get his hands on the materials and saved us additional heartache and expense. My recommendation- avoid the warranty companies but call Plumbing Pro directly! They're passionate about their customers and their work! read more

I have American Home Shield warranty and they apparently only have one plumber under contract because the've sent Plumbing Pro Service out twice. Last year I had a broken pipe and my master bed & bath flooded. The plumber pulled into the driveway and told my son that my hedge was too green for the season and we needed to have them dug out. I told him that we has called about a leak in the house. He wouldn't come in and look at the flooded floors. He said he didn't have a work order for that. It's like he didn't want to do the job so he declared a problem outside. In spite of my efforts with AHS to deny payment to them, he said the job was completed so they paid them. Yesterday I called about a leak in my laundry room and they sent Pro Services again. I got the same issue. I couldn't tell them exactly where the water was coming from so he said I needed to let the floor dry and call them back when I could be sure. Are you seeing a pattern here? read more

I requested for them to come fix my water heater. Scott came to take pictures but didn't even attempt to troubleshoot it. He left after 2 min of looking at it and said they would get back to me. 3 days later they all the sudden said there were access issues and couldn't perform the work. My water heater is 100% up to code on access through an attic. They just didn't want to do the work. It's only a 2 person company and they will only do extremely easy jobs. This company is laughable! Stay away! I'm sorry to say, but everything you read prior to this is correct. Scheduled an appointment. No show. They closed the work order without even showing up. Multiple calls over the course of several days not returned. They told AHS they would get back to us. Didn't happen. I ended up waiting 7 days before we had to get the work completed by a different company. Finally got a refund from AHS. I'm surprised AHS even uses this company based on these reviews and the ones from the BBB (check those out). Coincidentally (I couldn't make this up if I wanted to), my sister-in-law had a hot water heater issue several months back. I started explaining the nonsense we were dealing with here, and she pulled an email up showing that she had dealt with this exact same company. They replaced the unit, left, it didn't work, and she waited for three weeks for them to return and complete the work before she ended up going to another company to complete the work. Todd, the owner, was rude, unprofessional, a time waster, and constantly showed up hours late (after calling with an eta) or not at all (No Call-No Show). The only reason I wasted a month on this company was because American Home Shield selected them as a vendor. Todd showed up twice out of the six times he was supposed to. Once without any tools and another time trying to diagnose the issue with the toilet lid closed while also wearing sunglasses the entire time. It was blatantly apparent he did not want to be here. It was my first and last time I'll use this company services. Not my first choice nor my choice at all. I used this service provider via home warranty coverage. I needed my water heater replaced. Mostly, what I received was disrespect and aggravation. I waited an extensive amount of time for the service to be completed. The contractor made me spend out of pocket expenses unnecessarily claiming I needed modifications. That was misleading and nothing more than a scam for making more money. If I were you I'd choose a different contractor, one that's reputable and honest rather than this conceded scam artist. One more thing, the plumber didn't finish the job. He left my water heater disconnected from the electricity on a Friday afternoon. All because he didn't want to use a foot of electrical wire from his truck stock or get any from the nearest Home Depot. I came home after work and had to finish the job myself. Otherwise, if I wasn't a handyman, myself, I would have been out of hot water all weekend and or until my home warranty provider could schedule services to be completed. They asked if they could come back on Tuesday because they didn't have the "correct suits for our job" Then Tuesday they didn't answer our calls and where a no call no show Called Wednesday again and they told us they won't do the job because one of the plumbers is claustrophobic, and the other dosnt feel comfortable doing the job. And then they told the insurance company they don't want to do it because it's impossible to get under the house. Even though I have been under it multiple times and even laid cardboard to the pipe leak. So they wasted our time when we could of gotten someone else to come take a look. Our upstairs bathroom tub handle broke off and water was spraying everywhere. I was able to get a hold of Todd within minutes and he sent me detailed pictures of how to turn off water at the main and was out to our house within a little over an hour. Warning Do not use this company!!! It appears they don't even have a Google review account maybe because of other bad reviews. Look up their BBB reviews amd trust them. Monday we reached out to the company to schedule an appt. The man said they would call us back. He didn't. Tuesday we reached out again. Man said they would be out at the house between 1 and 4. We took off of work to be there. He said they would call this phone number when they are their way. We took off of work and were here waiting it was a no show. We called again yesterday, no call back.  We spoke with Todd today. He said that the order was closed out on monday because someone came here and replaced a cap, then he said that someone came out and replaced a disposal.  He said someone came out twice. Then he said he has to open a new ticket since we told him that no one has come to repair and that the appointment wasn't even made until Tuesday (since they never called back Monday, as promised), so we were unsure how they could have come one Monday. Then he said they didn't show up to the appt because they reached out to the home owners, since we are "just" the renters, and they didn't have our information.The homeowners did not get a call.  He said he doesn't have an appt until tomorrow morning so someone has to be had to be here again. Which means we would have to take off again. I asked him for his name and the name of the company after he gave it to me, I told him I was filing a complaint because we can't just take off of work to be here again, and I felt he should put us on the calendar first thing today since this was urgent and this was their mistake. After I told him I was filing a complaint told me that I threatened him and to contact the homeowners about finding a different company.  I am assuming it made him upset seeing the terrible reviews that this company has on Google, yelp, and BBB. He then told AHS, he refused these job because he was verbally abused. If there was a 0 rating, I would use it. I was an American Home Shield customer and Todd was assigned to replace or repair my water heater. I took pictures and sent to him before he came on sight. When he arrived on site, he announced himself to be a "Master Plumber", had an arrogent attitude. He looked at my problem and said it needed to be replaced. He came several days later with a water heater that would not fit the cabinet where my water heater is. When challenged on this, he lost his temper and told me he was leaving. He came in to get his bag of tools and got in his truck. He had begun the replacement but did not secure what he had already done and he left. An hour or so later, I went into my bathroom to find it flooded and the closet with the water heater also. He had removed a valve and the water was turned on by him and left unsecured. Worst senerio ever!!! I barred him from returning to my property even though AHS would have sent him back. Neither Todd nor AHS made any attempt to take care of secondary damage done to my home. We contacted our home warranty company, American Home Shield they put us in contact with this company. They finally came out after asking us to first just send them pictures so they didnt have to drive out to our home. Finally we convinced them to just come out and look at the water heater. Then we got a bill for $45(T&P Drain) and $300 (water line). I tried to call them multiple times, they do not answer, they will text you back after a day or two but when you ask for the charges that are outside the replacement of the water heater they do not respond. Then a gentlemen calls you and tells disrespectfully tells you that he received your review (after ignoring your text because they don't answer the phone or call you back) and goes off on me via telephone, doesn't explain anything and hangs up. We did not get good service from Todd at Plumbing Proservices. We had him assigned via our home warranty to diagnose and, hopefully correct, the smell of sewer gas in the house. He did not show for the first scheduled appointment and then was difficult to work with on rescheduling. When he came out he gathered our information and looked around outside, then gave his guess about what was wrong. If a negative star existed I would give negative stars...our home warranty lined these guys up for our service request. 3 days later, multiple unanswered calls later they answered and informed me they thought I had already been taken care of. They then set an appt for the next day with a 4 hour window. Appt was with Todd. He never showed, called, emailed or texted. After I sat and waited for 4 hours I called him to find out he "had an emergency". Fine, scheduled appt for next day. Waited 3 hrs and then got a call 15 min away. Shows up. I was of course with other contractors bc they had appointments too and were on time. Todd refuses to enter the home and even look at our water heaters or test our hot water that was the issue reported. He further starts raising his voice at me telling me he is a "master plumber" and he doesn't have to look at anything to know what "I am doing". He condescendingly made comments we were renovating and we just wanted a new hot water heater Bc we were "just like all those other people in this neighborhood" just wanting something for free. At this point I told him that it was just best if he left my property. He then started screaming passive aggressively at his assistant saying "I told you, these people are all like this. They had me come all the way out here and waste my time bc they wanted something for free". He did this in front of all the other contractors and so loud all the way to his car that we could continue to hear him from the backyard. His behavior was absolutely uncalled for, disrespectful and hurtful. If that wasn't enough, he then apparently went back to his car and maliciously wrote a FALSE report to warranty company claiming there was nothing wrong with our units or systems and claimed there were "access problems" preventing him from reviewing anything inside the home. Now they won't send anyone else out. CUSTOMER BEWARE with this company! read more

The worst experience with a contractor ever. Dispatched to replace a leaky pot filler. Replaced it but overtightened it and cracked my tile in my backsplash. I contacted them less than 24 hours after the work was done to have them take responsibility for it and they declined. Not sure how these folks can sleep at night knowing how they conduct business. ANYONE could see that this was overtightened and the pipe twisted which caused the tile to crack. I repeatedly requested these guys to just take responsibility for their actions and make it right. They refused and even declined to come back out at the request of the home warranty company. Now I have to pay another dispatch fee, wait a few more days, have another plumber fix the cockeyed, over tightened pipe just so I can, on my own dime, pay for the tile they broke to be replaced. RUN away from these unprincipled, unskilled, irresponsible people. It's hard to believe I'm so much worse off for having them in my house. If you want a plumber who talks a great game but refuses to stand behind his work, use these guys. Apparently the memo about customer service wasn't delivered to these guys. STAY AWAY!! read more
