We are writing this review because Plumbing Troopers constantly sends us, their customer, requests to write a review on our experience.  Here it goes.   A job that should have taken 1 week has now gone on for 21 weeks. We paid for expedited permitting because they said they wanted to start immediately after Labor Day 2021. They didn't start until October.   They left off some of the work to be completed off the permit. This was all part of the original request and quote provided. The solution: file an amended permit, that created more delays.   The first plumber assigned would only show up for 4 hours a day, show up late, leave early, or simply not show up. In a week he showed up 1 day. The plumber made a hole in our concrete floor in the wrong spot, 4 feet away from where it should have been. He gave no solution to fix that. Now we have a hole in our kitchen ceiling. Additionally, he threw away all of the drywall pieces that he cut, most of which were not cleanly cut, to begin with. This means that we now have to replace all of the drywall at our expense instead of just reinstalling the pieces he cut. So far the estimate for the drywall repair is $2,000.   The company sent a different plumber to finish work. This new plumber identified a laundry list of things that were wrong and that he would have to correct in hopes of finishing the job and passing inspection. Some were done, others were not. We failed inspection.    They they sent out a third plumber to correct the items on the inspector's list. He said his notes just stated that he was to complete the rough-in for the bathroom. No other information. The only saving grace here was that this plumber actually completed the work and he fixed the problems caused by the other two previous plumbers.   As a result of these delays, we have been unable to commence our bathroom remodel because we have no indication of when this project will be completed. We are now at 21 weeks since we paid them for the deposit (August 2021) and 15 weeks since they started the project (October 2021).   When contacting the company with these complaints and speaking to Dean, no solutions have been provided, no remedy to the situation. In fact, instead of acting apologetic, he made sure to pressure us to pay them the balance on the account as soon as they finished the job. Dean also stated he would come out to see what the problem with the hole in the ceiling was.  We are still waiting.  That was 2 months ago.  All they do is apologize and make excuses but that does not resolve the issue of the delays, the additional expense to replace the drywall that we could have just repaired, or the constant and never-ending interruptions to our days.  Just this week (Jan 19 2022), they set up an inspection for the toilet work.  We were never notified about the inspection nor that there would be a plumber at our house all day correcting the things that were failed as a result of that inspection. This is typical.  If we do not contact the office to find out about the status of things, no one notifies us.  The plumber had our phone number down wrong.  We corrected it.  We still did not get notified by him or the office about the work to be performed this week.   When scheduling work and attempting to follow up on why people were not available or showing up the office staff would blame the plumbers saying they didn't control their time or schedule. The plumbers would turn around and say that the office always knows where they are because the office is the one that assigns to the jobs they are going to.  The plumbers have no control of their time or assignments.  It seems that they just get assigned to other tasks, thereby delaying our project and others.   Yesterday, we overheard the plumber speaking with someone in the office. That office person was speaking disparagingly using foul language about another client who was dissatisfied with the work that they started late, much like us, and as a result, was refusing to pay her bill balance. Clearly, this is a chronic issue with the company. It is also clear that they take no responsibility for their lack of performance.  As a result of what we heard yesterday, we know that we will not get anywhere with them righting this situation and doing the correct thing. Poor workmanship, slow response time, or being ignored. That seems to be business as usual. Do yourself a favor a stay clear of these folks. read more

I temporarily moved down to Boca Raton from New York given all the craziness in the world. Unfortunately, my apartment had two-bathroom sinks that clogged up quickly. I called the Plumbing Troopers office and Mike was at the apartment within the hour, fixed the clogged drains and I haven't had any issues since then. It is nice to know that this essential business is providing fast and reliable service. read more

Incredibly rude and shady plumber. Yvan the plumber was sent to my home for a free assessment. My wife was home, and let him in to assess. When she called me on speakerphone so I could speak with the plumber, he told me he would charge $190 to remove one screw. When I asked for further details about what exactly he'd be doing, he repeatedly dodged my questions, and interrupted me to demand a yes/no answer on the job. I told him I didn't feel comfortable spending that type of money unless I could better understand the job. He then told me that "time is money" and walked out of my home in an incredibly rude fashion. Don't hire this company; I wouldn't trust any company that would hire someone so rude and unprofessional. These folks are A-mazing! We initially used Home Advisor to connect us to them, having just moved to FL from MD. But whoa these folks were quick to respond, curtesious, and very economical. I live in an older built home and plumbing issues have started to come up more than usual. Steven came out and recommended a camera inspection. He discovered that cast iron pipes were causing a lot of issues and prepared a detailed report of his findings with camera footage to support our insurance claim. I hired Plumbing Troopers, asking for a 5:30pm appointment. Two days later I got a text saying 5:30-7:30pm, which was OK. At 6:43pm I got a text saying "Johnnie is on his way, he should be there at 7:19pm. I checked progress on their GPS map, and it kept getting later and later. Johnnie was not making progress over more than 30 minutes. At 7:40pm I called and left message with their Answering Service, advising I had asked for 5:30pm and now it would be 8pm or later before the plumber arrived. The Answering Service told me that I was going to be charged $100 after hours fee, which was never disclosed to me before this. I told them to tell Johnnie not to bother, and asked to cancel the appointment. At 7:45pm, after I complained to the Answering Service, Johnnie finally called, said he would be at my home shortly. I told him not to bother, it might have been nice if he called me at 7:19pm when he was originally scheduled to arrive, to let me know he was running late. The worst part of it is that despite my message with the Answering Service, it is now 48 hours later, and I have not heard from the company with an explanation, an apology, nothing. I can't blame the company for the plumber being late and not updating me, but I CAN blame the company for their complete lack of follow-up after being advised what happened. And to add insult to injury, I hired a different plumber who did the job for $100 less than I was quoted by Plumbing Troopers, and they showed up on time to do the job. read more
