Recently I was experiencing symptoms of a septic tank that needed servicing. I had the tank serviced, but it did not alleviate the problem. So at 8:00 am I tried calling several plumbing contractors for service. I was feeling a bit desperate in that I couldn't flush the toilets. From most companies I didn't get my call answered, but Unstoppers answered my call. Thank goodness they did. I had tried snaking the main clean out myself, but was coming up agains a blockage. In speaking to the dispatcher at Unstoppers, he indicated all of their service techs and plumbers were really busy, but he thought he would be able to squeeze me in. A few minutes later I got a text letting me k is I would be getting a service call from Paul between 10 and 12. I got updates by text throughout the 2-hour window letting me know when Paul would arrive. Paul came set up, quickly assessed the situation and got to work. It did take a good bit of effort to clear the blockage. Paul was very determined to make sure everything was working perfectly before he left. I really appreciate the quick and thorough service. One of the places tacked on an extended service contract to their quote that I didn't ask for and that really turned me off. H2O arrived on time, completed the work promptly, and were neat and professional. My biggest issue was their communication. It sometimes took a few emails to get a response, and the very last question I asked about the relief valve never got a response at all. Also, don't expect a detailed quote on letterhead like the others provided me with. They don't do that, which is mystifying. I did appreciate that I could call them and get a human. Dino's Plumbing has voicemail and no one ever called me back. Very rude and unprofessional. Out of the 3 quotes, H2O actually came in second as far as the cost went, but I went with them anyway because I had a good feeling about them and I'm glad I did. You should at least get a quote from them if not use them for your next plumbing job.

After they stood around and spent the next 15 minutes or so, flushing the toilet repeatedly, they suggested having my toilet reset "might" fix the problem. Other that, they didn't know what's to do because they couldn't replicate the odor. Charged me $120 service call and left. Technically, it was a service call but there was no actual service unless you count numerous toilet flushing "service". Rich has always been my go -to for plumbing issues. I expected better. Rich has $120 of my money, and I still have toilet odors wafting up from my shower drain. I won't be in a hurry to call them again.
