I frequently visited KGH and enjoyed a lot. Recently, I went KGH after they finished the internal construction. Everything was upgraded including the variety of meats, seafoods, and side dishes. Also they changed their iron grill to stone grill which is grilled better and tastes better. The staffs are always kind and attentive with best services. I found this place on Yelp, the awesome reviews are on par. This spot is terrific. I like the buffet style spin. It is nice to get what I want and how much I want - when I want. This works out great if your new to KBBQ because you can get a very little sample of each meat or seafood. I put a hurting on the Bulgogi and Galbi. They have a soy and spicy Galbi, the spicy was excellent. The Bulgogi had a decent marinade, about average. I say that because I have had some excellent marinade that are family secrets. The salad bar look fresh. Important to note, the place was full on a Wednesday night at 7 pm. The food out at the buffet was getting a turned over quick. The service is outstanding, great attitudes and hustling. If you are new to KBBQ, just as them, they will walk you through the process of cooking. They will even help, but that is no fun. Soda fountain is included in the price. Good selection of Korean beer and alcohol. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this place! AYCE Korean bbq at a flat rate! If that alone isn't awesome enough, then let me also tell you that it is buffet style so you can go grab all the meats, sides and soft drinks that you like. Soju and beer are offered at an additional cost. There is an exhaust fan above the grill at each table so you don't smell the smoke while cooking. The exposed smoke evacuation system and lighting added a bit of a cool industrial vibe in my opinion. We came in at about 5:30 on a Saturday night and by 6 most of the tables were full. Even with so many customers to take care of, service here did not lack. Our grills were changed often and the buffet area was well stocked. Our waiter was absolutely amazing, funny and attentive. He made sure our meats were cooked properly and made conversation with us which made our experience even better than expected. There are no AYCE Korean barbeque restaurants that I know of in the Philadelphia area, so this is your only option. It's a little pricey, $32 per person; but consider that there is no competition. I've been to AYCE Korean BBQ places in Los Angeles for less than $15, but I'm not about to fly out there for a fix. So this used to be Philly BBQ. Same cuisine, same format (buffet), different owners. It looks like a group of younger Korean guys bought this place out and made it a little hipper. The decor is updated and the TV's play Korean videos non-stop. The food is good. You can get cuts of LA kalbi (short rib), sam gyup sal (three layer pork) and other odd meats like chicken gizzards. I would say the other owners offered better sides, but you do go to AYCE BBQ for the meats. They did add the exhaust fans, so you don't walk out smelling like BBQ (as much). Come with an appetite so you can get your money's worth. read more

My friends and I came here around 9:30pm on a really snowy day and really enjoyed our experience here! It was one of the only open places at that time despite the terrible weather, so we decided to try it. The pricing is a little confusing because previous yelp pictures and posts state that there are 3 different AYCE menus you can choose from for different prices, which would be good for people craving different amounts to eat. However, when we got there, they informed us the menu had changed to just a flat price of ~$31 for AYCE dinner. A little bit on the pricy side for the quality of food you get, but not super unreasonable. In terms of the food selection, they have about 6 different meats/cuts, some a row of side dishes, vegetables, and fountain drinks included! We were pretty happy with the selection. The raw meat sits out for a while though, which made me a little wary, but it turned out ok. I think the best thing about this place is the vibe and the service. The food is also pretty good, not super outstanding, but definitely is Korean BBQ. The vibes inside this place feel like you're in Korea. Lots of wood, a fan on top of all the grills, and just feels so cozy and homey, great place to catch up with friends and just chat for a long time. We actually ended up staying about 40 minutes past their closing time, and they let us just hangout there, which was super super nice of them. I love going to the Korean Grill House. The food is always fresh and the atmosphere is always friendly. You get to pick out what items you want to put on the grill and you can grill your own food to your desired taste. There is also food already cooked, so you can nibble on something while you're grilling. There is always a K-Pop or K-HipHop playing in the TV. Love watching the videos and seeing what's new. The waitstaff are best part of the grill. They are always helpful. Sometimes, you can get caught up talking and forget about your food, but they are right there to assist at the drop of a hat. Shout out to the manager, Korea, for having Karaoke on deck. People who have never done it usually have lots of questions about Korean BBQ, and the answer is always "meat." Do you have to cook the food yourself? Meat. Is it all you can eat? Meat. What kinda banchan they got there? Meat. Is there free parking? Meat. For real though, KGH is amazing. All you can eat KBBQ joints are few and far between in and around Philly, but this place quickly became my favorite. They have lots of different cuts of beef, pork, chicken, seafood, sausages, tons of banchan to choose from, and even some other hot side dishes like noodles and scallion pancakes and such. They've got fridges full of soju and makgeoli of multiple flavors. And the best part is that their staff is friendly as hell and great at checking in on you to switch out grates or help you out with grilling some of your meats, if you need it. I came here with my little brother on a Friday evening. The place was decently busy and the two waiters were very tentative, handsome/cute and super efficient. The menu here is $30.95 for all you can eat. I came here for the kalbi, and left very satisfied. The meat selection had a lot of pork options, beef, spicy chicken, and shrimp. I returned to this place after many years of not being here. I have to say... The feel and interior has changed to be more modern but the food quality has gone down a ton to what it was before. The biggest missing factor is the bone in galbi; staple of what the place used to be. The seasoned rib... It wasn't there when I got there and I was already saddened. However, I still wanted to enjoy so I tried all their other stuff which was ok. A lot of seasoning on everything which tells me that they are trying to cover up the quality of the meat by flavors (at least in my opinion). The sides such as the fried fish were a massive disappointment.... I had to spit some out because it was rock solid and tasted terrible. To be fair... I saw it and put it in my mouth against better judgement since it already looked horrible. The saving grace was the server. I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the owner and the chef for giving my daughter a little bit of home cooking comfort while being far from home at Penn State. Flew into Philly this afternoon from California and called in to order deokboki, soy garlic chicken and kimchi pancake (my daughter's three favorite Korean dishes) to bring to her as a surprise. I was told there is no kimchi pancake on the menu. I was sad because that was something she had specifically asked if I could make and bring with me. I shared this with the person taking my order and it happened to be the owner of the restaurant! He said he'll ask the kitchen to make it for her!!!! Who is this amazing person who would go through all this trouble for a person he doesn't know!!! She just ate it and she literally cried. This needs to be on the menu for others to try. It's amazing! She said it tasted just like halmoni's (grandma's) kimchi pancake. It really did. The flavor was spot on and comparable to the best homemade kimchi pancake. The deokboki was perfectly spicy and chewy (like in Korean tent street shops) and the garlic soy chicken was crispy, flavorful and oh so juicy. This restaurant is in an odd location in upper darby and looked like an old renovated diner but you can't miss the bright sign that stood out front Dining area was nice they had two rooms, one being a little larger. The buffet was to the right of the entrance with fresh meats, seafood, sides and etc Soda machines and large rice cookers was at the end. I was a little skeptical about all the meat being displayed on a buffet line but it was all chilled. We were seated promptly and served a pitcher of cold water and our grill started. Our server gave us the basic run down on menu and price I immediately went for the bulgogi (brisket instead of ribeye as is traditional) and the kalbi with the kimchi, lettuce, and rice to make my Korean Wraps The grill was nice and hot and switched out often when we were finished grilling each "round" The kalbi/galbi was amazing!! Full size ribs grilled then cut into bite size pieces, perfectly marinated! The bulgogi was good but the spicy pork was alot more tender and I liked the flavor more in a wrap We ate and ate and ate, it was delicious!! And I loved that the Kimchi was authentic and spicy red so many places dilute it and I hate that I will definitely be back again and soon even though it takes me an hour in traffic!! read more

Years ago when this restaurant was first open, it was bomb!!! Then a few years later, the restaurant was sold to a new owner and went under new management. I stopped going back since they stopped doing All you can eat Korean BBQ. Then they went under a few more new management because my mom would go there once in a while. So good news is, today the restaurant still survives with the original style, All You Can Eat Korean BBQ. Since I was convinced by my mom that this restaurant was better than the one that I took her to the other day. I've decided to give it another shot. So according to her, it was different from the last time that she was there. The reason being was she ordered dishes off the menu, and it wasn't AYCE. Anyways, that probably confuse you enough since the restaurant keeps going back and forth between all you can eat and traditional restaurant style. Anyways, when we walked in, the staff greeted us very friendly. He sat us next to the window with lots of natural light which I liked. He came and explained to us how the AYCE style works and instructed us to go get food from the food bar. There were a variety of meats like marinated beef, ribs, pork, chicken, chicken gizzards, shrimp, pork intestines, pork belly, etc... There were other dishes like korean stir fried clear glass noodles, rice cake (very hard because the heating stove is not hot enough), fried chicken There were a variety of veggies, mushrooms, side dishes (kimchi, bean sprouts, cucumber kimchi, pickles, etc) and sauces Even with all the food options, I've noticed 2 things: 1. The food/meat wasn't fresh. The seasoning is alright. I wasn't impressed at all. 2. They had very limited amount, they displayed so little on the plate. Besides all the drawbacks, there is a positive thing about this place. Okay wait for it....ready!?!?!? Severs are young and buff men LOL. If you ladies are single, this is a place to hang out haha jk disregard the food quality lol. Not only they'll help you out refilling water, giving you napkins and stuff, but they'll be the one that cook the BBQ meat for you!!! How exciting is that!?!?! I love the fact that they constantly changed the grill so it won't burn the grill and your meat. They charged about $30+ per person, I cant remember exactly how much. But that's pretty pricey. I didn't eat much, I and my mom SHARED one plate of meat, 1 plate of random stuffs (noodles and rice cake) and 1 plate of veggies. I came here last Saturday after 3 years. The restaurant names already changed, but still under korean owner. Its not crowded for weekend dinner There are 2 options of buffet A and B. The different is only 4 meat with additional about 4 dolars. They will give you 1 plate of shrimp, galbi, beef bulgogi, and ribs? Thats too bad because last time i came, i ate a lot of bulgogi and shrimp. I likes bulgogi so much! However, the restaurant had improvement after all. The looks is modern, clean, and cozy. You wont get a lot of smoke anymore. The sides menu also better. They served fried and grill chicken. Salad. Spice noodles. Fried rice. 3 kind of soups. Grilled salmon (u have to try). Okonomiyaki. Fried noodles. And fresh veggies. But the meat option is not too many. We paid about $86 for 2 packs of A buffet and 1 bottle of soju. read more

Best service ever! We came here around 9 pm and stayed pretty late, past closing (they were so nice for literally staying 40 minutes past closing we felt so bad once we realized how late it was). They don't do any differentiation now so it's $30.95 flat for everyone, but they made an exception for me as a vegetarian for $18 which wasn't bad at all considering the options and that I ate for 3 hours. I can't speak for when this place is packed but because we came on an emptier night he came around multiple times and replaced our tray and helped with the meat. My friends really enjoyed the marinated pork, and he ended up taking me off the bill because I didn't eat much which we really really appreciated. In DC area, Korean BBQ buffet is $25 per person and has more meat choice. I love their beef intestines. It is hard to find beef intestines in Korean bbq buffet. read more

Korean Grill House thoroughly satisfied my cravings for all you can eat kbbq! Everyone is charged the same price ($30.95) as all buffet items are available for grabs aside from alcoholic beverages. This restaurant is especially efficient in the sense that you can self-serve all your meat, rice, drinks and miscellaneous food items immediately from the buffet. The majority of the meats available are pork options with a couple beef options in the mix. Service was friendly and attentive; our grill was changed as needed throughout the meal and the server often walked by to check on the table. This place is pretty bomb. I heard about this place for years now and finally made time to go. I see that there is new management, circa 2017. I'm not korean, so i won't say i know "authentic" KBBQ. But i've eaten at enough KBBQ spots to say that it was pretty good experience and fairly authentic compared to that fake kbbq crap in chinatown (looking at you nine-ting). For AYCE, it's a great deal. Totally unpretentious place with great wait staff, clean, and organized. Also keeping the authenticity is the kpop playing in the background and staff helping you cook/cut your meats. The vent system was great. Didn't smell badly when we left. The overall selection were good but don't expect high end cuts...still, for a reasonable $32 dinner, you get your money's worth if you stick with bbq meats! Fantastic place for affordable korean bbq and a fun time. The first thing that stuck out to me was the smoke vacuums that sunk down to the grill. The dining area was also filled with TVs playing K-Pop. The table next to ours was singing along to the music, which was amusing. Luckily I came with my Korean buddy who knew how to grill all the meat so he grilled and cut the pork belly and beef bulgogi for us. The meat had a slightly sweet taste and dripped in fat.
