After living in LA for 6 years its hard to imagine kbbq being good anywhere else, but as it turns out, the provinces know how to eat just as well :3. I mean its true to the extent that say, u won't have the same amount of specialties and trends, but for a straightforward kbbq meal, Korea Grill House was perfect. We opted for the A menu ($32.95) which has all the options, but only one per customer servings of kalbi, brisket, bulgogi and shrimp. It's a sort of partial ayce option. The price point seemed a bit high for these limitations, but I thought the quality of all these limited items were superior enough to justify it. I especially loved that the kalbi and bulgogi had just the slightest hint of marinade, so that you could enjoy the taste of the freshness of the meat to the fullest. The brisket was so much better than the kind u find at $10 kbbq, and the shrimp were nice large prawn sized. I'm also a fanatic for kbbqs that have self serve banchan (side dish) bar. Good variety of korean dishes, veges, appetizers, rice, soup. I could eat just the salad bar and be very happy (which is the C menu). Oh and the non limited bbq meats are all self serve as well, which is great since u can get as much as u want whenever. We went early so I'm not too sure what the ambience is quite like. Kpop music videos playing on the walls. Interior a bit out of date and clashing but comfortable. Service was superb! I believe Patrick was serving us. He gave us his full attention and cooked for us and waited on our needs like this was a fancy place. U NEVER EVER see service like that at korean restaurants lol. Well, the new generation understands american service style so.. not that i blame the og's. Very friendly manager as well. We were lucky enough to have gotten there right when they got their alcohol license and they seem to plan a decent beer selection instead of the normal korean brews. This was an exemplary dining experience -- everything from the quality, freshness, and seasoning of the meats to the service was excellent all around. I can't wait to come back! As other reviews have stated, Korea Grill House is an AYCE Korean barbecue restaurant, set up buffet style for a flat rate of $30.95. The buffet items range from soups to your raw meats to side dishes to dipping sauces and you serve yourself. My boyfriend and I mostly ate kalbi, pork, beef, and spicy pork, and it was all delicious and the meat was extremely fresh and well seasoned. I'm used to buffet style AYCE places for kbbq to be poor quality or questionable, but every cut was great and well seasoned! Service was INCREDIBLE. Waitstaff was SO attentive, changing grills for us immediately when necessary, informing us how the menu and restaurant worked, and just being incredible overall. We even had a waiter come and cut our meat for us because he saw my boyfriend was struggling. They were so fast at collecting plates that when we finished putting the meat onto the grill and cleared a plate, I suggested that we put our bones and trash on the empty plate to clear space. The waiter scooped up the plate in seconds before we could put the trash down -- THAT'S attentive service right there! Overall great price for awesome food and wonderful staff. i'm scared to write a review because i don't want this place to get more popular because I LOVE IT! it's a buffet style but the restaurant itself really reminds me of a bbq place straight out of korea! i'm obsessed with the tube grill fans and table style, but that's just me. now to the food... the buffet includes rice, stews, meats to grill, all the veggies you need some banchans. the banchans are pretty sub-par; the spicy cakes have 0 flavor and were cold but the fried katsu and chicken was actually really good! i was also a fan of the spicy cucumbers and their kimchi. THE MEATS. it was yummy! definitely not seorabol quality BUT for the price it's a perfect match. the galbi, the spicy marinated pork, the pork belly... ALL REALLY GOOD! the service was also phenomenal, our waiter was so good at changing our grill plate, he kept apologizing for not being attentive but i thought he was super attentive! he got us some free soju on the house. it was honestly a great meal and i can't wait to come back! read more

This is a great all you can eat korean bbq place!! Great food, great service, and they have kpop playing on the TVs so great music too! Lol My friends and I come here all the time when we're craving some bbq meat. It is similar to a buffet style where you can get up and choose whichever cuts of meat you want and the amount. There are other foods as well such as japchae, fried rice, dukbokki, among others. This is our official go to spot now! We often spend many hours there just eating and talking. I always tell the owner Korea to just kick us out if we're there too long but he and his staff are always very kind and friendly and even encourages us to stay longer! This place is pretty good, I like how you can get all the stuff yourself. It's a little ghetto looking and the floor is really sticky and slimy because of all that grease and smoke but those are the best places to get the best meals, is it not? I'm giving this place 4 stars is because they have the bone-in kalbi. Not the LA-kalbi strips, REAL, actual, kalbi. I'm a sucker for those bones, and just looking at it - the meat looks fresh. This place is so good, I wish I could pick it up and move it to my area. My friends and I came here after the Roots Picnic - we drove up from northern Virginia, and this was between the park and our hotel. Being from Nova we have some experience with Korean BBQ, and this place was fantastic. The flat rate and buffet experience were great, but what really makes the place is the staff. Friendly, attentive, and ON IT - they changed our grill at least five times. The buffet food was constantly getting changed out, so it was all super fresh. At one point I went to get a refill on noodles, and as I was walking back to my table a waiter chased me down with a plate of kim chi cucumbers - "I saw you look at the cucumbers and look sad, so I got some more cucumbers!" Hilarious and cute. The food itself was great- delicious glass noodles, bomb scallion pancakes, a nice array of veggies and kim chi sides, and then for meat we had kalbi and bulgogi - all tasty. Pretty whack, seems like the lunch menu is about 25$ but dinner was 30+ tax or something (35~40 with tip/tax by the end of it all). I could be wrong about the price variation but I definitely paid close to ~40$ for the dinner meal. The pricing is pretty atrocious and it made my jaw drop seeing how much it was. I can't fathom how they stay in business that kind of pricing but then again, ayce kbbq is practically an almost extinct animal in Philly so they can probably charge w/e they want. The food was ok, nothing particularly stood out, they didn't have beef tongue and such but at least they had intestines and a lot more amenities/side dishes i.e. salt/pepper with sesame oil, kimchi, cucumbers, salad...the typical works, definitely was a bit more surprised to the variety of meats available. The staff was decent on attentiveness, changing grills and cutting some of the bigger slabs of meat. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. Yesterday was my first visit here, and let me tell you, I had a blast! From the unlimited meats and sides, to the friendliest staff I've ever met! Yeah, the price will throw you off at first, but it is well worth it. The staff is extremely helpful when it's your first time eating there. And there is kareoke if you like to sing during a meal! The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. And the music was great! I love k-pop music, so that was a plus for me! There is also the little things that made me love this place. They never leave you with a dirty grill after cooking your food. They are very attentive. And there are so many compliments and drawings on their window blinds from tons of customers. The two men that worked that day are friendly and humorous! Even though I'm not a great singer, they still clapped and cheered for me~ Their spicy pork bulgogi is flavorful, and the pork belly has a nice thickness to it, it's not a thin cut pork belly. I've been here in the past a number of times and just realized I have yet to write a review. I absolutely loved this place during my visits there. Form the service, to the food, to the updated interior, there's not much to complain when it comes to a solid Korean BBQ experience here. Come very very hungry but be sure to keep your stomach expanded throughout the day (drink lots of water before coming here) as you will be very very very full when you leave; almost to the point of being uncomfortable. But of course, you can limit how much you eat but you wont want to with this place. If Mr. Korea Kim is still there, he will take care of you and your party with some of the best hospitality. Very accommodating and very professional. My only gripe with the place is the weird parking, but if you can get by that, this place is fantastic. read more

What a great place! So the first time my partner and I went there, we were hesitant because it looked like no one ever goes there. So we start eating and both she and I were like, "wow, this place ain't bad". We had both wondered why it wasn't busier. Well the short of it is that we had just gotten there to beat the dinner rush. I went here with my friends recently (during covid) and I was completely blown away. Firstly, it felt safe and each table has a set of see through curtains surrounding it. It was my first time having Korean bbq so it was a little overwhelming at first. Especially being that you have to cook your own meat on the table. But it's much easier than you'd think. And the communal cooking aspect adds a fun element to the dining experience, even more so when soju is involved. Everything was so delicious and the whole experience was a great time overall. We had the "premium" option which for 4 adults which included things like Kalbi and shrimp and 3 kids and it was a ton of food. I suggest getting 1 premium and one standard option for every 2 adults. Note the premium items are not all you can eat but there are plenty of other items to choose from their buffet line, uncooked and cooked for you to get your fill. The one lady who served us was very friendly although she kept talking to me in Korean on 4 times during the dinner. By the third time of me saying "still not Korean" I was thinking about getting upset but the lady recovered nicely and told me I look like a Korean pop star, nice save:-) Over all the meats were marinated well with good flavor, gas grills so not the best but gets the job done. This place is not easy on the eye..the place is an old dinner but I was told that the owner is one of the best in marrinating the meats, so i guess i had to make that determination by myself. I have dinned at several Korean BBQ, and and love the experience. After having different meats and squid I have to admit that the marinate was on point. What a great Korean ayce bbq. There are only two options on the menu, Option a and option b. Option a cost a little more than option b, but with option a you get items from the kitchen that are not available from the buffet. We opted for option b which is a pretty decent amount of food. All the pork belly, galbi, and chicken you can eat with a very good slection of the side dishes and soups. I tried the white daikon soup which I love. Service was very friendly. I loved the lady that was grilling our food. The sweetest women ever! Our other server that greeted and seated us was very friendly as well! They were both surprise that we didn't eat as much! The food here is really tasty! And you can eat as much of it you want until your gastrointestinal system explodes. Anyways, we were hungry and attacked the buffet like the carnivores we are. They have everything here. From authentic bone-in kalbi, bulgogi, daeji bulgogi, chicken, baby octopus, and shrimp. Everything was well-seasoned and looked extremely fresh. Also plenty of rice, kimchi, and banchan dishes go with too! I kept thinking "they aren't going to make any money off of us!" Owned by an adorable old Korean couple, they were more than helpful. When we asked for extras such as butter and lime, they were more than accommodating. Being a cold December night, they even brought out a heater right next to our table. It's only $25 a person! That's a really great deal considering how much meats we ate. You can also bring as much beer or soju you want as it's BYO. This place is a joke. I'm not Korean, but I know what good Korean BBQ tastes like and you will NOT find it here. The selection was not so great and the meat was substandard. They didn't even have white rice! It was some brown/purple rice that looked like it had other crud in it; totally unappetizing and tasted as bad as it looked. Don't be sucked into the "oh, all you can eat for $20" promise because it is not worth your money, unless your palate is completely underdeveloped. This is the best Korean BBQ buffet around town (the most consistent at least). I've dropped in multiple times, and I've never gotten poor service. The little old ladies who work there are so adorable. They're attentive and friendly. They'll most likely cook your meat for you if there are less people. The food is decent enough. They have some vermicelli noodles that are pretty tasty. The other "side" dishes aren't bad at all. They include corn, fried chicken, tofu and some sort of radish. There's some watermelon you can treat as dessert. As for rice, there's usually a choice of either purple or white. Now for the meat...what can I say? Last time my group went, it was a carnivorous feast. We piled on everything- the bulgogi, kalbi, spicy pork, shrimp, squid and stuff I can't even remember properly. I really enjoyed the kalbi because it was marinated so good. The charcoal grill only made it better. For drinks, we just stuck with water and tea. The latter had a nutty aftertaste to it, which was pretty cool. So, what are the downsides? It's not the cheapest. Weekends are $30 per person. They occasionally have small discount coupons if you know where to look (coughchinesemetrocough). Ventilation is limited, so don't wear anything fancy. I sat in the direction where the smoke was blowing, and I smelled like charcoal the rest of the night. The deco's from the last restaurant, so you'll see Western-themed stuff around.
