I visited Pockets Billiards & Fun for a company get-together. Pockets Billiards and Fun was chosen because of the billiards tables and because they offer food and drinks. Each table per hour was $10 per hour. I am unsure if the table's rate was a special price or if that price is standard. Pockets Billiards and Fun was clean and nicely decorated for the Holidays; they had many servers, the ambiance was live, the music loud, and they mainly played Mexican Baladas and Rancheras. I experienced friendly and attentive customer service, but the food did take a while. Most of my party waited 45 minutes or more for their food. It was a Thursday night, and Pockets Billiards and Fun was busy. The tables were in very good condition. Even though the food took a while to arrive, the traditional wings were delicious! Those are the best wings I have had in a long while. Huge and Meaty! I ordered the Mango Habanero and the sweet chili. Their fries were also delicious, and the servings were generous. The experience was fine because I just went to play some billiards. But one of the workers added a digit on my tip for my payment, summing up to be tipping 63% (extra $10) - which I did not write nor gave. This has never happened before in my life, where someone would adjust the tip price on writing. I only found out when it alerted my card company. I tried reaching out to the place to address the issue before posting a review, but no action. Will not be going here ever again. read more

Been to this place before but never ate there. The vibe was on this Friday evening and not too crowded either. We sat to eat before getting a table just as the happy hour crowd was leaving. We ordered the onion rings and wings to start. I liked that they were battered not breaded. The wings were delicious. We also ordered the burgers. I had the single bacon bacon and bf had the green chili burger. They were well seasoned and tasted delicious. Definitely a comeback place. read more

If I could describe this pool hall in a few simple words, it's like the annoying little brother of Clicks Billiards. And while reviews remained all over the place amongst fellow Yelpers, I wanted to give PBF the benefit of the doubt since it's so much closer to my house than the aforementioned Clicks. Sadly, they barely hold a candle to their much more superior competition. Walking in, the place looked normal enough....at first. It was 10 seconds later when it occurred to us; with the bar ostensibly flooded with patrons and thereby unapproachable by any feasible angle, this meant obtaining a pool table as if we were in a sit down restaurant like a couple of goobers. As we're literally escorted to a table restaurant style, it ends up being the one furthest toward the back, closest to the ear piercing speakers blaring a Mexican themed marathon of tracks. That's right. Evidently, some patrons must've reserved a library's worth of tracks on the TouchTunes jukebox. Since I was only able to hijack the CLEARLY myopic barrage of songs with only one of my own, I opted for my own tunes via Bluetooth headset that evening (as I usually do whenever the in-house music sucks balls). The payment procedures of this place are really bizarre. Instead of taking your tab via ID and credit card as with most other places, they apparently charge it to whatever table you're at, periodically checking up on you for more refills on their very limited wine selection (more on that later), then closing you out at the very end whenever you say so. My question is: how did they know I wouldn't have made a break for it out the side door that we were playing next to? Not sayin' I would actually DO that...but, I'm just sayin'. One tall tale sign that their wine selection sucks is when I have to request "the red one". Basically, they only had one type of red wine, which also happens to be a sparkling wine evidently. But it was dry, so I stayed long enough to two drinks. Plus, I was less than amused to discover the attending server had ZERO clue what brands of wine they stocked. What a shame. Sometimes I talk about how, when visiting certain places, you can't help but compare them to your "first love". Mine is Clicks on Airway. So, I would hope another pool hall closer to my house would at least have SOME of the features we enjoy there. Alas, PBF is just a mediocre carbon copy of other much better done pool bars. The place feels cramp thanks to their strange arrangement of the pool tables, the servers seem distracted and clueless, and the wine selection is painfully limited. Next time, we'll gladly take the 9 mile hike over to Airway. PBF gets 2 ginormous loudspeakers blasting a Mexican marathon of tunes all night out of 5. read more

This location was super nice and clean. The energy was great, it was a great place to hang out with friends. Unfortunately we had an awful server who forgot about us. Jacquelin B. Was super nice at first but forgot about us. I went to use the restroom and saw her taking a shot, and the custodian and her were talking about her not getting caught because she was taking shots in the bathroom. We assumed she was intoxicated because we had to ask another server for our tab. He was so attentive and came back 5 minutes later asking if our server had checked us out. He then told us to go ahead and leave because none of their servers said they served us. As we walked out she even walked passed us and didn't even recognize us or anything like if she did not serve us. We head outside and our server came running out to give us our tab as we were about to takeoff. We gave her cash and asked for our change because we did not plan on leaving a tip. She went back inside and we waited for 10 minutes for our change and we had to go in a look for her. When we walked in to look for her she made eye contact with us and walked away and ignored us, so we had to go after her to get our change. This location was so nice, but due to this server we did not have a good experience. read more

I only went here because of a poorly planned work event. I'm not much of a pool player, so I wouldn't have decided to come here otherwise. Immediately upon walking in I was hit with a wall of blasting heavy metal music which was especially strange at 6 pm on a Wednesday. There seemed to be a decent amount of pool tables. Those in our group that wanted to play had no problem getting a table. Although our group was basically the only business they had at the time, service was still extremely slow. After waiting 15 minutes at a table and trying to flag down a server multiple times, I finally walked to the bar to order a beer. On my way I passed 4 or 5 servers just standing around. Very disappointing. I was pretty hungry, so despite my low expectations, I ordered a burger when I was finally able to flag down a server. She had to come back to the table twice to sort out the order for myself and two co-workers that placed theirs at the same time. When it arrived, the burger was adequate. Juicy and a pretty big party. The fries were ok. Nothing special. I don't think we'll plan anything at this place again and I won't be back in. read more

Me and boyfriend recently visited Pockets Billard off Zaragoza today play poole. The waitress who helped us while playing Poole was great but we decided to stop and go the bar. The bartenders was different, I watch the the two female help everyone but us. We are African American decent and I hope that is not but I watched the females go talk to other people but help us. Eventually my boyfriend did get ones attention which is a shame because the bar was not busy at 5:45pm. read more

A fun atmosphere to go to with friends I've heard some pretty shady stories about service being slow or servers being rude. Even heard a rumor about frozen food. But that's not been my experience my time here is nothing but positive. I love that you can go in play a few games of pool enjoy a late night appetizer with friends This is deff a great add on to Horizon I hope we get more adult hangout places like this that are not sketchy bars this place is awesome read more

I went here for a night out. Waited about 10 minutes to get a bartenders attention and ordered a margarita. Easily worst margarita of my life. This waitress yelled at us for sitting in this other guys seat, which was actually ours that he stole.. I mean, this dude told on us for stealing a chair.. r u 12? Only ordered one drink for the night because it was so difficult to get a bartenders attention. There was a lot pool tables open, oh also. The music was god awful. read more

Place is obviously pretty run down as the pocket holes are falling apart. The music selection is barely tolerable. It's annoying that they change the song 10 seconds in if anything other than a ranchera song comes on. The last complaint (probably my fault for not being more aggressive...although I should not have to be) is that the waitress tricked me out of my change by saying she would put up a few cents so she wouldn't break my $$ and give me my change. read more

Although I had read the bad reviews on this place I was wanting to go play some pool with my wife on our day off. Other pool halls were closed so we gave this one a try. Upon arriving the music was too loud and a poor selection for a bar/billiards place. The bartender asked what we would like to drink and I asked if they carried any craft beers to which she replied "what's that". So I settled with a normal drink. Then she asked my wife what she was having and my wife asked what they had containing sour apple in it to which the bartender replied "I don't know". After that we played a game of pool and had our single drinks we left to a bar that has better service, atmosphere, and knows it's liquor. Wouldn't recommend this place read more

The number of tables is decent, but the first time we went there were a ton open and they stuck us next to all of the ones being used so we had to ask to move in order to continue playing without having to wait for others to shoot. Kids are allowed in before 8 or 9 pm but don't take them. The first time we went it was primarily mariachi music... The next two times had the raunchiest and crudest music ever. My poor kid had to cover his ears between turns. Don't allow people to pick that music if you're going to allow kids in. Or don't let kids in.. It's not a difficult concept.
