Cheeseburger and hand cut fries excellent

This was one of the best stop on our trip. The food was phenomenal. Several people in our group said best burrito they've ever had. The food came out quick. The service was super friendly and attentive. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and put together with culinary skill. We loved it. We're already looking forward to going back.

With the homemade sign and modest building we would not have paid much attention but it was 12:30 pm and there were about 12 pickup trucks parked in front. That's your clue. The working men eat here! So we tried a bit of everything to make sure we could give them a spot on the map. They earned it!!! No words it was SO Delicious!! And our bill was $10.23!! This place is an absolute gem.

Fajita plate with rice beans and guac. And one tortilla but I asked for one extra. It was delicious and it hit the spot!

The green enchiladas were light and tasty for just having cheese in them. The green chiles had creamy flavor to them. Great for a light meal. The fajita plate was perfect with some small tasty but toasted pieces of onion and small fajita pieces. The rice was well seasoned but I could tell it was cooked with a little too much liquid but the flavors were on point. I usually say somebody's grandma is back there cooking and she sure was bc we met the abuelita who was actually cooking !! I would definitely go back here and we met some really nice locals who moved from Houston to this small town! The servers were very nice! Remember it's CASH ONLY but not expensive at all.

If you are in Fort Davis, don't go anywhere else for lunch. In a town full of mediocre-at-best dining options, this place stands out. Quite possibly the best Mexican food I have ever had. I say that as someone who has lived in Texas for 2 decades and traveled extensively in Mexico as well. It is definitely a dive, and it caters almost exclusively to locals. We ate here repeatedly during the few days we were in Fort Davis. We got some funny looks the first time we ate here, but after our initial visit, we were accepted into the "tribe." The service was very friendly and fast. The food is very cheap. Portions are huge, and everything is delicious. Pro Tips: Do: Get a fried egg on everything. Enjoy the 1970s game shows on the shattered big screen TV Don't: Try to come here for dinner. They are only open from 11am to 2pm. Try to pay with a credit card. They only take cash. Expect luxury. This place is a true hole-in-the-wall.

Yes! I crave this place all year! The tacos and enchiladas are the best. My daughter loved her burger and the meaty green enchiladas were creamy and divine! The nachos were so cheesy, we loved the gooey delight! I have to be honest, the waitress seemed stressed and was not very friendly, but the food made up for her attitude. I. always look forward to coming here!

Lots to love about this place. Food came very quickly. Server good. Food tasted better than I expected. Ordered 3x enchiladas. They came as flat not circular. What I did not like is the only cheese was on top. The rest was just red sauce and tortilla. If I had not gotten an egg it would not have been as pleasant. I will say the red sauce was homemade and had a kick. It just needed more cheese for sure. Daughter got combo nachos and while she expected queso she got shredded cheese and ground beef. They tasted as expected and nothing to complain about, it was just what we perceived was not reality. Oh yea cash only. Maybe next time something different and please get a square card reader!

The Enchi burrito - yes that's instant rice on the side :-(

The almost friendly staff served watery rice and dry beans as sides to my Taco Bellish tacos and my wife's almost inedible beef fajita.

This place closes at 2: so 6 of us raced over at 1:50 and they served us. They do run out of things but the food was really good.

There is a decent size dining room, a nice bar area with high top tables, and tables outside on the patio. We stopped there to grab something to eat on the way to the Star Party at the McDonald Observatory. Not being very hungry, we split the Rio Grande Brisket Taco while sitting at the bar. The brisket was flavorful and plentiful; delicious. The bartender was busy, yet still attentive. The food orders we saw all looked good and plentiful. I wish we could have stayed a while longer, but we had a 20 minute drive to the observatory. Unfortunately, cloud cover pretty much ruined the Star Party, however, we were pleasantly surprised that a refund was offered. I highly recommend a stop at the Blue Mountain and check-out Fort Davis.

This place is nice, cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and great food. They have a dinning room or you can order to go at the bar. We used the scan code to order off the new updated menu, I didn't mind at all. Once order was placed, our food arrived promptly. Of course I ordered the Old Fashioned. 7 out 10. Not bad. For dinner my dad and I had the Chicken Fried Chicken and my nephew had the double cheeseburger. We cleaned out plates. Food was great. All in all I will definitely recommend and will be returning.

The ambiance is more on the utilitarian side not super classy or trendy but where this place shines is in the food. We ordered the carne asada tacos and the chips and salsa. Everything was clearly homemade. The chips were fried fresh and brought to the table warm, and the salsa tasted like it had just been made. The flour tortillas were also fresh and full of flavor. It was very, very good. We popped in for a light lunch and enjoyed every bite. Authentic, satisfying, and perfectly balanced not too heavy, not too light. Just right. Fast and delicious. Bravo!

They looked really good and on the appetizer menu so I got them. Asked for the salsa flight but waiter said the prep guy did not come in that day so they had no salsa (none at all)! So o ordered the guacamole (which he competed). Also got a Jamaica juice that was so large I had to get a to go cup when we were ready to leave. The guacamole was house made but it did lack some flavor. It needed a punch of garlic and some salt. Only thing I could add was the salt from the table. Otherwise it was good and chunky. The nachos came out and they were massive. I was able to eat about 10 chips before giving up. My provider and I said we should have shared. They are loaded with meat, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico, and pickled red onions. I have no complaints bout the taste as it was all very flavorful and seasoned well. There are not a lot of options for food in town but I would eat here again.
