Black Badge Yelper Steve T. invited us to a night of Comedy on a Saturday night. On the backside of the Center is the city park were they have free concerts in the summer. The theater is small and intimate. The evening showcased 7 local comedians some of which were better than others. During intermission we browsed the gallery with all of the art work. The art was for sale. All in all a nice evening.

Note, you can't see the full stage from the side balcony section unless you lean forward drastically as the seats are too far from the railing and unmovable. There are also poles in front of some of the side balcony seats with no advanced notice about the obstructed view when purchasing tickets... there's a reason these are the cheapest seats in the house. The performance was great, including beloved tunes from Mary Poppins (Chim Chim Cher-ee), Cinderella (A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes), 101 Dalmations (Cruella De Vil), Aladdin (Never Had a Friend Like Me), The Little Mermaid (Kiss the Girl), Snow White (Some Day My Prince Will Come), Lady and the Tramp, The Princess and the Frog, Jungle Book, and a non-disney encore of What a Wonderful World.

Her process begins with plein air watercolor studies in order to capture the atmospheric qualities of the light and color that draw her to a particular spot. Then, she takes several photographs of the area to use along with the watercolor sketch to begin the painting in her studio. Given her training as an Engineer, it is not surprising that she loves details, but she believes the focus of the painting can only come to life if the rest of the painting is void of unnecessary details. Along with light and color, these qualities help bring the essence of the painting into view. She also developed and teaches Art, Science & Nature Classes to 1st grade girls with the hope of inspiring them to see the connection science and nature with art projects to reinforce the science concepts. Travel and exploration generate inspiration for her work. She loves taking photographs of places she visits and has an eye for finding unique angles and perspectives of scenes and objects. She has hundreds of photos she's taken over the years and hopes that eventually she'll have the chance to paint them all. We'll i broughted to my other jeweler and they took it apart and realized there is some kind of paper underneath to make to opal shine more plus they confirmed it is not crack and they are repairing it for me otherwise the ring was just ruined. Plus, tthey plan to close up thd little hole that was on the bottom of the ring so no dirt or water will go into it. Additionally they will ensure it is completely sealed on the edges since the opal is bezel. I will not recommended this place any more to friends as the expertise is no longer there. Plus I am surprised there was a piece of paper to make the opal shine more and there should never be a small hole to let in dirt and not able to clean at home.
