You find a few open barstools with metal legs, and a comfortable backrest. The scene is busy, yet comfortable. Plenty of operating room. You pan around to see open seating on the perimeter of the bar. You have ample views of several, tastefully placed flatscreens. Olympic Curling is on. You're excited. Go USA. You hear commotion behind you. You notice a separate area with bookshelves and books, and nice, comfortable lounge chairs. Dart boards are the focus of these areas, but are not overdone. From a glance, it appears these areas need to be rented, but not at an outrageous price, as every board is full. You walk to the bathroom and notice another area of perimeter tables and casual seating. A cute table of women glance at you as you walk back to your seat. Their faces are glimmering from the reflection of well placed wall lighting, and a dark, cozy overall feel to the bar. You go back to your seat, where the bartender has acknowledged your position in the pecking order. "I have him first, then you second." Makes eye contact. You know where you stand. It's your turn. "One Tanqueray and Tonic. Lime." First sip... tastes right. Refreshing. You're home. You can't wait to share this with your boys. This is a place that is trendy, but not overcrowded. I organized an event at Point and Feather for our company last week and we will definitely be back! Their team was extremely helpful with answering any questions we had beforehand and made creating the itinerary/menu for our team of 40 a piece of cake. The dart boards were super easy, fun, and straightforward and the atmosphere is great for organizing a large group party or just to be out with a small group of friends. read more

Neat place for party people that wants to hang out with their friend. Very busy and loud on the weekends. You can have drinks, food and play darts which is nice. Small plates: Grilled calamari, BBQ meatballs, buffalo shrimp. All of them tasted really good and I can really recommend it. Detroit style pizza combo was delicious but the lamb gyro was nasty...the meat tasted like an Italian beef and I won't recommend that to anyone. The electronic dart machines are super glitchy, not to mention it's really uncomfortable to play when you're surrounded by people in their reserved booths hovering around you. A friend and I (both African American) came here for drinks this past Saturday night. It was crowded but security wasn't holding the line which was a plus for us. We ordered 2 long islands and the female brunette at the bar near the entrance felt the need to say "The long island's are $20 each....." as if we were immediately going to change our mind and ask for the drink specials. It's a Saturday night in River North. I'm sure we were the only customers that had to reconfirm what we ordered because we were African American. Will not be recommending or going back. read more

Bartenders were great despite it being busy, especially the gal in the front bar. However the bathroom attendant was a little more than aggressive... despite me giving him $5 when I first arrived, he flipped out when I grabbed a starburst later on (yes it was 3 hours later but still). When I tried to explain he ran off and grabbed what a manager/bouncer who seemed to just be looking for a fight. This was my first time attending this establishment. I was referred to this place by my coworkers to celebrate my promotion. I was not pleased with the service. The waiter was rude and the manager was not as sympathetic as I would have like him to be with handling the situation. My boyfriend and I barstooled it for a few hours for the NBA games and had a blast. The bar had a good crowd, but we were able to find a seat no problem for a post-dinner drink. The bartender was extremely friendly and the cocktails and wine were delicious. They have River North prices so you're paying $13 for a good cocktail, but definitely worth it. The vibe inside is great. Some River North bars have a bad crowd, but this crowd was super fun and not obnoxious. There's a ton of games around and TVs, it's a great sports bar. I reached out to this establishment via email regarding booking a dart reservation for Saturday night. I was advised that they don't take reservations after 9 pm but they were able to accommodate my party. This was our first stop for a fun night out. My party arrived promptly at 10 pm for our reservation. We were seated at the first table right by the door. I immediately let our waitress know that I had put in a request to play darts as we were celebrating a birthday. She said she was not aware and told us she was going to check what was going on. She came back and advised another party had just cancelled their dart reservation (which was located by some couches). She advised, if we wanted to, she can let the other group know to wrap up their game. I kindly advised that it would be great if we can move to that section. I watch the waitress approach the group but nothing happened. At this point, an hour and had gone by and my guests are wondering what is going on. She came back and quickly said a few words (it was really loud so I had trouble hearing what she was saying). All I hear her say was that they were going to open the other side and we would be moved over there to play darts. I said "ok". I had to move two more chairs to our table so our guests wouldn't be left standing as it could only sit 6 people. Another hour goes by and we still have not moved to a darts section. I notice another group that had just arrived walk up the original section we were promised. At this point, I am frustrated. I had told my guests good things about this place and we were looking forward to a good time. I told our waiter that at this point we were leaving to another bar and to close our tabs. I left extremely disappointed and frustrated. By far the worst experience when booking a reservation. The idea of coming to this place was to play darts. If not, we would've went somewhere else in the first place. It's a decent place to come have a couple of drinks but after my experience it doesn't stick out to me compared to other places in the area. read more

Came here with a small group for dinner and drinks to celebrate a friend's birthday. Our server was awesome. She was fast and on top of everything while being attentive and friendly. We had two different experiences were our credit card got charged much more than the itemized receipt. After comparing our receipts we realized the tip we left was not equal to the charge we saw on our bank account. In one case, they charged about $20 extra. I would highly recommend everyone to keep their receipts and double check your charges. read more

My friends and I came here for New Years, thinking it seemed like a good deal as it stated there would be open bar, champagne toast at midnight, and a complimentary brunch with mimosas and Bloody Marys in the morning. New Years eve itself was mediocre -- we had to order our own champagne and there was no countdown (we wouldn't have known it was almost New Years until we looked at the tv to see the news). The next morning at brunch, our waitress specifically told us it was not bottomless but just one drink each - any additional bottomless service would cost $20. After getting our checks, we saw we had each been charged for our first drinks as well. When asking our waitress why she had told us the first drinks were included, she tried to blame another waitress, saying she must have given us the wrong information. In the future, please do not promote what you cannot provide and make sure to inform your staff of the correct services. Either way, I will not be returning to this disorganized establishment. read more

I came here after work on a Friday (around 5:30) and the place was packed! It looked like a popular spot for holiday work parties. There are three bars which is nice - everyone wasn't crowded into one location. The happy hour specials are good. If I remember correctly, it was $5 red/white wine some drafts, and vodka tonics or gin and tonics. It was also 1/2 off all small plates. And it went to 7/7:30 which is good for River North. We got the fries, onion rings, and buffalo shrimp - all of which were pretty good! shrimp were overdone, but still tasty. One down side: I know the place is advertising its dart boards, but it seemed like you needed to pre-reserve the areas near them. Just keep that in mind if you're looking to play! Overall, I will definitely be back if I need a decent happy hour in a fun atmosphere. read more

The food was delicious and the darts were fun but that was where the pleasant experience ended. Our waiter, Greg, was a nightmare. From start to finish, his attitude was poor at best. Every interaction was forced on our part - he never checked on us or asked if we needed anything. He seemed incredibly put out every time we asked to order something. The guy running our food refused to give us the appetizer we ordered until Greg gave him the okay which resulted in a wild cheese curd waltz around the restaurant. Nothing about the service was pleasant or okay. To top it off, Greg tried to charge us for a $42 bottle of prosecco that no one ordered and was visibly upset when his mistake was pointed out. Clever name for a dart bar, but the boards are all plastic. If you're a dart bar, you should have real dart boards. Bartenders need to be trained better, I had an awful old fashioned, which should be a simple drink to make. Decor has promise with all the bookshelves, but they ripped all the covers off, which looks weird. Bouncers were on a power trip and were very rude. Coat check was unnecessary and there was confusion getting our things back. All together another river north bar trying to print money without putting in any effort. read more

I went to Point and Feather for drinks with a friend and we ended up getting food! The burger is fantastic (and the menu (and the server) didn't mention it, but the sandwiches come with fries, so don't make a separate order for them). The service was good and fast. We didn't end up playing darts, but those areas fill up quickly. The bar is pretty big - don't just hang out in the front library because there are like 4 different large areas to hang out in. Lots of the typical River North Saturday Night bro vibe, but still a nice place. I definitely plan to go back. read more

I work at El Hefe and this is my favorite spot to enjoy a pre-shift drink and meal. I only mention this because I work a lot and here a lot and can leave an accurate review that's not based off 1 bad experience someone " might think they have " because they suck at life and have no clue about the industry. No venue is perfect. It's very open and friendly here. The food is fantastic and great for groups of people/party's and conversation. The music is the perfect level to not catch a headache. All the speciality cocktails are made with detail/thought and taste really well. If you come at the right time you might even be able to jump on their fancy pool tables. There are however, a ton of dart boards to go around. Fav dishes - wings and meatballs. Fav drink - Alma Violeta and The Queen of Thorns. My boyfriend and I came for their launching event and we had an amazing time. Our bartender Lisa was amazing and super attentive. She had a great attitude and energy and never let my glads go dry. This place just opened but I would recommend coming and enjoying their great drinks especially the "queen of thorns" cocktail it was delicious. The appetizer were good too. Oh and the darts and pool table are a defined plus. The entry is chill but fun. It's a bar/ lounge atmosphere and great for a fun date night with a great atmosphere. Second time there, first time was ok enough to come back but it was earlier in the night so it wasn't as busy. This time we came around 10pm. It took 30 minutes to get a drink and this was at a table about 3 feet from the bar. Our waitress was incompetent. Then we hawked out a dart board and area and the waitress confirmed it's first come first serve. We were just about done with our first game of cricket and 2 douche-rocket "managers" came up and said we had to wedge ourselves to the other side of the board and share seats with a completely random group next to us, but we could keep playing. No less then 3 minutes later about 15 people came over and completely took over the area and our board. My fiance looked over and the 2 "managers" looked at each other and did the I don't care shrug and walked away. By the way, in our group was a whiskey rep who supplies their bar, but he's a humble dude and didn't want to make a scene, and the place SUCKED so bad that we were going to leave anyway. It's too bad, cool concept, but scumbag management and ridiculous wait times isn't the place to spend your money. read more

Drinks on Saturday 7-14-18. This place has the potential to be really cool, but unfortunately their staff are really holding them back. Ambiance is fantastic. Server, bartender, and even bathroom attendant not so much. First got there and ordered a drink from the bar. The bartender looked SO zonked out on something. We ordered 4 drinks and he messed up 3/4 after even asking us to repeat the order which we did. We then got a place to sit near a darts board where our server approached us. Throughout the night he was totally socially inept, not polite, and at the end of the night he randomly brought us our check saying they are switching things around and we need to close out. Fine, I asked him if we could get another round first so they would be on his check (obviously so he could make more money with the tip and everything, trying to do the guy a favor). He legitimately sighed and acted like it was a chore. Sorry we are adding another $100 to our bill that you will charges us 20% gratuity on??? The servers name was Greg, and I wouldn't go back to this bar simply bc of how incapable he was the entire night. Why he is working at a job that requires social skills is beyond me. Lastly, the men's restroom attendant... they only had a men's for some reason that night and no women's. The guy was harassing my boyfriend every time he went to the bathroom stating that he didn't pay for gum the last time he was in there. He never got gum from this guy.... yet the guy was trying to pull one over on him THREE times telling my boyfriend that he forgot to venmo him. Finally, for the guy to quit my boyfriend just had to buy one piece of gum and venmo this guy $2 so he would leave him alone. Totally crazy experience and wouldn't go back which is too bad because it has so much potential. read more

This review is really specific to 06/29. I have had plenty of good experiences here. I have spent 10 years In the service industry myself, so I am very understanding. But my friend asked for his tab 3 times and the server was unwilling to separate his beers from the group tab. When he got understandably confused and upset, the waitress got her manager to repremand him for not speaking nicely to her. Good on him for sticking up for his staff, but if you stick up for bad servers you will lose good customers. We originally got a few drinks at the bar and when we went to sit down at a table this waitress told us we couldn't sit there because she wouldn't make money. Of course, understandable, but you just need to politely ask to close tabs out at the bar. Finally, after friend got his tab, happy hour prices were not honored. Not sure if this place has new managers or new staff, but I wish Point and Feather continued success. However, we will not be returning. read more
