    Vice city and the hermaine

The vice city was pretty good, I wasn't a big fan of the boba pearls. The hermaine was not a favorite because of the strong pickle flavor and sour watermelon juice. The overall vibe and ambience make up for it though in my opinion. The service was great, both the host and the server were very sweet to us. Would definitely recommend for a girls night out, but be sure to make a reservation!

I'm here right now and this place is, in a word, opulent. Gilded finishes, moody dim lighting, and an IYKYK entrance with courteous door staff. Good drinks in pretty glassware and a fun but relaxed lounge vibe. You could do worse than to take a date here. I'll come back if I'm in the neighborhood.

Came here for my birthday and by far the best cute dinner date decision. Looking for the place they don't have a title to the place but there is a person waiting in the gate and they ask if you have reservations or not. For special occasions I would recommend making reservations but you do walk ins best they said to get seated right away is before 9 cause then it becomes a 1 hour to 2 hour wait. Parking was definitely hard to find. Old town is packed to the brim on when we came on a Friday night. Since we had reservations we couldn't miss it or it'll charge us. But their ambiance and food is just like in the photos and videos. It's a 90 mins total service. The prices are pretty expensive so I would recommend if you're on a budget to eat before. But since it was my birthday, I wanted to try all the must haves. Definitely loved the experience. Look at my photos/ videos to see what I ordered. You don't get disappointed. If you like house music and people dressing up to have fun on night out, I definitely recommend. I'm Definitely coming back :D

Caché - Old Town's Best-Kept Secret (Until Now) Stepping into Caché feels like stepping through a time portal. Tucked into a beautifully preserved piece of Old Town history, this speakeasy doesn't just reference the Prohibition era, it fully immerses you in it. The moment you walk in, you're transported to 1920s Chicago, right down to the lighting, the sound, and the energy of the room. It's theater and dining rolled into one. The food is where Caché really surprises. Rather than leaning on nostalgia alone, the kitchen brings a distinctly modern sensibility to the menu. The caviar course is a standout: precise, elegant, and clearly the work of a kitchen that understands restraint as much as flavor. But the real showstopper is the golden beans: a clever, playful dish that finishes with a lingering espresso note. It's unexpected, a little theatrical, and genuinely delicious, the kind of bite you'll still be thinking about the next day. Add in effortless parking (a rarity for this part of the city) and it's easy to see why Caché has become the hottest reservation in town. Between the atmosphere, the craftsmanship on the plate, and the sheer novelty of the experience, this is a spot worth planning a night around town to impress your date or friends.

This place was nice but super pricy. The drinks were good but ended up paying over $20 for a cocktail which is a little insane.

Terrible service, mediocre food, and overpriced drinks. What kind of cocktail bar only has 8 cocktails on their menu.

Good for a date night but can get loud on a weekend with a DJ and crowds.

Coming on Wednesday, we were able to get seated at the bar right away. My guess is that on the weekend you might want to get a reservation. The concept of a Midwest Topography based menu was brilliant and engaging! I loved reading through the full book, there is such richness to the descriptions and Midwestern rootedness! You can also just skim through and find the drink that sounds the best to you if reading isn't your favorite (). My husband got the Cattails drink and I got the Water Lily. His was bursting with tropical juiciness and mine was complex with umami and floral flavors. We both loved our drinks and were sad we couldn't stay longer. We will definitely be back again in the future, and come with hungry tummies for some of the delicious sounding bar snacks! The space is intimate and warm. Great for intimate gatherings, not for big groups. Clean and tidy. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and collaborative. We loved it and look forward to our next visit!

I sat at the bar downstairs and can confirm the place has a classic speakeasy feel -- the the basement of a place behind a locked door, very dark inside with mood lighting/glass cases and leather chairs/couches around small low tables. It's definitely a great date spot! I took off a star because it's pricey -- I got the "milk punch" on their classic cocktail menu which was $25 and is pretty small, but it's a nice drink and tasted very much like a milk punch drink I got at a speakeasy back home (in Austin, TX). The bartenders were super nice and provided excellent service, no complaints there! The bathrooms were also immaculate. Overall, this is a very nice speakeasy! I've been to many in my day and the ambiance is definitely on par with the best, but I gotta say some other unique ingredients (ideally more floral options!) would really take their menu up a notch! Nevertheless, I would def rec a visit to those visiting Chicago, and would go again even just for vibes :)

BUT somehow Chey S. Still decided to alter my receipt and give her a $10 tip. Which I did not give her. To which is also illegal. If this surcharge that they claim allows for them to take care of their employees - then why are they stealing from their customers? Anyone who comes here or has been here- take pictures of your receipts after you've signed and totaled them. I see in the reviews Chey S. Is a commonly denominator in bad reviews. Not sure why she's still employed here. Committing crimes and businesses letting it slide isn't a good look. Still waiting on my refund of $10 for that check 72 from Thursday the 23rd at 11:39pm that I have yet to receive! Idc to pay the $20 for one mediocre drink, but stealing is completely unacceptable. And it being excused even more so. Unfortunately I don't live in Chicago or I would've filed a police report, since this is FRAUD AND THEFT. Just beware of anyone who visits. I SIGNED to pay $20.91 not $30.91. There was a big fat ZERO tip for a reason. SO for check #72, I'll be waiting for that refund.
