My girlfriend and I stumbled here after escaping a mediocre dinner somewhere else, and the drinks we had at Cache saved the night. Nothing will bring me more joy than delicious cocktails and Afro house in a gorgeous room with some frankly... very elegant people. The cocktail program they have here is sensational. You can tell by the quality of the drinks that the head bar took time and effort to craft a menu that will pique your fantasy. The most memorable drink I had (which I can't recall the name of) had Greek yogurt in it (whey) which gave it the most delicious mouthfeel. Gorgeous new speakeasy bar. Hidden in an alley of Old Town you'd never know this place existed. Dress nice (no shorts, open toe for men, etc) as they try to enforce dress code. Head down the stairs into what feels like a cave and then enter into a classy bar. Swanky & stylish. The decor is beautiful down to the Marilyn Monroe painting. They have a happy hour menu. No mocktail options on there, but they had two options on the regular menu. I tried the pineapple spritz. Refreshing and not too sweet! The place gets very busy fast. Good for a date night but can get loud on a weekend with a DJ and crowds. Go early on a weeknight for a calmer vibe. read more

I ordered an espresso martini and really enjoyed it! My friends also liked their drinks with the pineapple boba, what a fun touch! The servers were great and friendly and the aesthetic was very cool. If you have any eye sight issues I would stay away from this place as it is dark inside, lots of steps and has a lot of reflective surfaces that can be a hazard. The vice city was pretty good, I wasn't a big fan of the boba pearls. The hermaine was not a favorite because of the strong pickle flavor and sour watermelon juice. The overall vibe and ambience make up for it though in my opinion. The service was great, both the host and the server were very sweet to us. I'm here right now and this place is, in a word, opulent. Gilded finishes, moody dim lighting, and an IYKYK entrance with courteous door staff. Came here for my birthday and by far the best cute dinner date decision. Looking for the place they don't have a title to the place but there is a person waiting in the gate and they ask if you have reservations or not. For special occasions I would recommend making reservations but you do walk ins best they said to get seated right away is before 9 cause then it becomes a 1 hour to 2 hour wait. Parking was definitely hard to find. Old town is packed to the brim on when we came on a Friday night. Since we had reservations we couldn't miss it or it'll charge us. But their ambiance and food is just like in the photos and videos. It's a 90 mins total service. The prices are pretty expensive so I would recommend if you're on a budget to eat before. But since it was my birthday, I wanted to try all the must haves. Definitely loved the experience. Look at my photos/ videos to see what I ordered. You don't get disappointed. The doorman was off putting, with an egotistical attitude, and seemed hesitant to let us in even though we had no idea why. My husband and I had a wonderful date night at Caché. The ambience is absolutely beautiful, intimate, elegant, and one of the prettiest dining spaces we've been to in Chicago. It really sets the mood for a special evening. The cocktails were the highlight for me. I tried both the Aviation and the Garden Silk, and the Garden Silk ended up being my favorite. It was creative, refreshing, and unlike anything I've had before. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and very professional. We did have to ask for water after being seated, but after that the service was attentive throughout the rest of the evening. Before we ordered, our server explained that the menu is focused on raw preparations, which we appreciated. We decided to give it a try anyway. My husband enjoyed the Le Wagyu Royal, but I realized raw Wagyu just isn't for me. We also ordered the Le Golden Œuf Parfait with Kaluga caviar. While it was beautifully presented, the caviar tasted a bit fishier than I expected, so it wasn't my favorite dish. The only thing that left us a little confused was the dress code. The restaurant mentions that jeans aren't allowed, but while we were there several guests wearing jeans were seated without issue. It wasn't a big deal, but it did make the dress code seem a little inconsistent. Overall, we'd definitely come back for the incredible atmosphere, outstanding cocktails, and warm hospitality. Food and drinks were great. Drinks are crazy expensive ($18-$35) but the food (tapas portions) come quick. Our server brought us the bill but only corrected their mistake ($45 drink instead of $35) once it was pointed out, to which she said that another table also pointed it out... so why wasn't it corrected before it came to us? This establishment charges a 2.5% hospitality fee as well as a 20% service fee (forced gratuity), along with an "additional tip" line on the final bill. Doorman said they allow walk ins and it was available to do so but refused entry because my wife had black leggings on and they don't allow "athletic wear". Fine, we understood. As we were waiting for our uber by the front door, 3 women approached, 2 of which had black leggings on and were dressed much more casual than us(I was in a sport coat) and the doorman let them in.
