My Burbank mechanic, Raz from Elf Motors, referred me to Mark earlier this year when he couldn't…read morehelp me. My check engine light came on and Raz went through all the various solutions for this issue. Almost two thousand dollars and many weeks later I had new spark plugs, wires, oil change, new fuel injectors, new ignition coil, etc... and still had a check engine light on!!!! Raz sent me to Mark, thinking the problem must be electrical. Mark reset the light, took a quick drive around the block and told me it wasn't electrical. He suggested that I pour a cleaning product into my gas tank, explaining that there was probably a build-up of gunk in the engine. I went down the road one block and purchased a bottle of the recommended fluid. I saw immediate results on the first bottle, so I continued to add one with each fill-up. Three tanks later the light stopped coming on! Mark didn't charge me a cent for this helpful advice! Months later...Raz sent me to Mark again when my battery kept dying, thinking there is a short in something causing a parasitic draw. I took my car there this morning and I am expecting to pick it up with the problem solved. Perhaps it is time to make Mark my first stop in the future!! Once owned by Pete and now by Enrique (who worked under Pete for many years). Enrique continues the honest and outstanding service in all of my cars that I have brought in more than a decade. I now drive a Mazda 3 which needed to get a "major routine service" from Mazda, plus transmission oil and change of spark plugs, which I was quoted $700. For the same at another private mechanic it was $500. Here with Enrique $280!!! Trust me, I'm not going anywhere else after and I'm back for good. Thank you!

Totally stressed because my car broke down and I had a million and 5 things to do...they put me at ease. Ed, who I can only assume is the owner, found a way to make me laugh even though I was in a conundrum. Best I can tell, Ed is just like your Uncle who always has something funny to say and then tells you like it is, is the mastermind (great dude) Austin is the main guy to get it done. He is laid back and chill. He listens to what you have to say about your car then gives it to you straight. He actually fixes your car. My new get'ter done guy. Jennifer is the Chicago girl who keeps everything straight. She is super nice and makes it comfortable for other gals who come in not knowing a tailpipe from hose. Their relationship with a rental car company (Horizon I think) allowed me to have a car until my baby was ready. They have a special rate for Studio clients. Mind you, Horizon picked me up. I walked in and out with a car in less than 10mins. I have been looking for a mechanic that won't rip me off or try to get over on me because I am a woman, or price gouge because they think they can, create new issues which ultimately cost me more money. Hell, they even fixed what a previous mechanic messed up at no charge. They even washed my car... I was sure the dirt was holding it together but I guess I was wrong. My baby sparkles now. She got recommended this shop by a AAA tow truck driver, had ridiculously overpriced services recommended to her, etc. Once under the hood Ed then discovered the "broken water pump" that needed to be fixed for an additional $200 before it could be driven away. I couldn't believe when we loaded this shop on yelp and my wife's jaw dropped as she heard her same exact story told from someone else's point of view. Unfortunately my wife fell for all of it, and even more unfortunately Ed broke the starter to my wife's car while doing (or not doing) whatever B.S. repairs to the car. The car has now broken down 3 times with a broken starter since the initial visit a couple months ago, and every time she takes it back to him he's able to Mickey Mouse the engine back together to get it running for another couple weeks until it breaks down again. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from Ed and this s***hole shop.

To the tune of every 15 minutes having to pull over on the freeway to add more. They finally roll into this mechanic shop at 8:30 on a Sunday night. SUNDAY NIGHT. The guy looks at it (for free), and says it's the waterpump, which is like $600, but he wants to try this really strong sealant that should get them home (to Seattle). The whole thing cost $50, and they're currently halfway home without having to stop once. It's people like this that make being a parent much easier. Thank you for taking care of those girls, and not robbing them blind. Thank you for being a truly honest mechanic!
